Anyone wanting to know why the Founders designed Article III in the manner in which they did need only look at the last four years of SCOTUS nomination processes to see the wisdom in it. It is raw, naked politics right up to the Senate vote to confirm -- because once that justice is seated they no longer have the power to influence outcomes. So be it. The only area in which the Founders left too much uncertainty with regard to the independence of the Judiciary was leaving it up to Congress to establish how many justices are to be seated on the Supreme Court -- which through Democratic rhetoric has been threatened for the past two years directly. I'd rather see that written in stone through a Constitutional amendment, unlikely as it may be, and that would solidify the independence of the Judiciary.

What? Inadequate replacement for Ginsburg? Perhaps, the left just wants a judge that is undoubtedly a pro leftist to be nominated on the supreme court. You don't need to be genius to know the judges they put on the supreme court always ruled in favor of the left. That's what the democrats want... dembs will call to vote to confirm Barrett at this on this very moment if she promise them to favor the leftist agenda....
But if Barrett promise the Dems that she will really be fair on her ruling? Is already a none starter and highly unacceptable position for the democRats. And that is the actual meaning of inadequate on democrats vocabulary.
If that's true, Barrett is inadequate nominee? Why the democrats has been out maneuvered on their assault every single time and even tried to hold their ground with sporadic fire. Assuming they havent accidentally shot each other. ; )
      Inadequate (Dem.ver.) Anecdotal Etymology
In a typical day of DemocCrat Life... claiming to things they can't prove is a daily habit but prove themselves to be utter liars instead. Its no mystery, literally everyone can see on TV whats been unfolding in D.C. People are watching Dem just keep running and throw themseoves to a wall and splattered their brains all over it and triumphantly claim..."the wall is cracking" (Joe biden said to his aide.. Hunter, is coming to D.C. and make sure he visits me) So you see,.shes weak and very inadequate person to meet the Dem's high standard of biases needed. I think contrary to what u may believe, leftists want that too. But the reason it will take at least a couple more generations is not because BLM is bringing back racism - its cuz they r pointing out that now racism is subtle and that many are racist without beings conscious of all the ways they r doing so. Once these subconscious racist policies and actions are brought to light and people stop doing them THEN we can have a world where your minority background isn't a major factor. But until then, being a minority is always mentioned because it honestly does make it harder to succeed in certain areas. I know this from research, talking with friends, and some personal experience (though I must say there are some minorities that are worse off than me so I mainly trust the research). If you would like, I can link to some of my sources. Anyways, if you've read up to here, thank you! I know my perspective is different but I appreciate that you've read it anyway :)

I see what your saying. I am black and I don’t want another trump with darker skin and a wig. I don’t want just ANYBODY. But the problem is, discrimination is real. Maybe not to some, they can pretend that it doesn’t exist because they are the majority and they will never have the minorities specific problems to relate to. Maybe that is you🤷🏽‍♀️. But there are plenty of times where a incredibly qualified woman or black person with experience and a doctorate will be declined and a man or white person will be chosen when they are less qualified. Simply because they are “superior” (yes people, this is a real thing, it didn’t just come from the sky, it happens everyday). We don’t want just ANYBODY, we just want everybody to get their shot. And with this country’s history, we can’t get that without bringing “black” or “woman” in the conversation. The numbers speak for themselves. Out of all 45 President, you mean to tell me that not one, not ONE person (besides Obama in all of US history) who wasn’t a white male wasn’t just as qualified or better for the job? If we don’t speak about these things and we don’t start including people who have barely been included before, I.e. women and other minorities, then we are robbing ourselves of people who can really bring change. People who have ideas that are beyond what you and I ever thought we needed. We don’t know who we are missing out on. We have to be fair. But again, like I said, I don’t want just ANYBODY just because. But we are crazy if we think that talented and qualified women and minorities have a fair enough chance for them to finally be out of the conversation.

At one point the judge seemed to display her being weary of it, too, yet I doubt the Senators realize how tiresome and actually offensive it sounds for them to qualify her accomplishments and merits with the tag "woman" (as/from/for). It's been rather disgusting. Law student, clerk, professor, judge, Justice. Her career and the accolades and accomplishments garnered throughout is model and motivation for *anyone*, certainly yet not only those pursuing law, yet any profession or endeavor where principles, hard work, drive, and determination are the rails of succees. Of course, being smart as hell probably doesn't hurt either.
