    Somewhat painful to watch because it brings back memories for any motorcyclist. We all started this way. Some very good YT channels to watch for training videos-- MCrider, MotoJitsu, Fortnine. The algorithms will show you others but these are three of the best. Good luck and ride safe.

    You good homie! That exhaust don't do you any favors because you can't get that note to help you know what to do! You need to know that the 2 wheels community is SO PUMPED to have a new rider out here putting money as well as love back in the community! Hell, I haven't been riding too long myself as an adult but the love is there. Only haters are going to complain about it and they don't count my guy! Love the bike, I'm actually getting my 500 in the white this week! Know that you got it! Hope to see you out there!

    Oh and sorry for another comment but a tip when downshifting and your bike will love it … when you down shift you will notice your bike kinda jumps.. when you release the gas and pull the clutch in . when you down shift before you release the clutch blip the throttle .. just a little tiny rev… rev match with your tire speed .. your bike will be so smooth downshifting

    It's crazy how the display on this shutters out with the frame rate, while the TFT display I have on the KRT SE looks clear and easily readable.

      I don’t think it’s that bad I kind of like how it’s hard to see how fast you’re going on camera (I don’t be speeding though😂)

  • @patwalker9890
    @patwalker9890 Před 19 dny

    Don't be too afraid of the throttle coming away from a stop. It's the clutch that will dictate how fast or slow you will take off. Like Robert Simmons (Be the Boss of your Motorcycle) teaches "Preload, trust and believe".

  • @RobertMorgan

    Something that helped me as a new rider, knowing the speed ranges in each gear.
    As our 500s have the same transmission as the 400, it should be very similar:
    1st: 37mph
    2nd: 59mph
    3rd: 77mph
    4th: 96mph
    5th: 111mph
    6th: 119mph.
    Learning this made me ride differently, now I know if I'm on a back road, going 45, I should NOT be in 6th, 5th, or even 4th gear, 3rd or even 2nd is a better choice, and more fun too lol.

    I’m debating whether to get this or the Honda DCT 750X since I like the style and speed of the Kawasaki but I’ve never driven a standard vehicle so I’m uncertain as to which one I should go for. I’m a new rider and will take my classes soon so any advice is appreciated

    • @vellevlogs3467
      @vellevlogs3467  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Honestly in my opinion I think it depends on what you want to do with your bike. I just looked up the Honda and it looks like a touring bike and the Ninja 500 is a sport bike, so if you want comfort for long rides I would probably go with the Honda but if you want a good beginner bike to learn on that still has enough power to get where you need to go and is affordable I would go with the Ninja.

    • @kiran5793
      @kiran5793 Před 2 měsíci

      @@vellevlogs3467 I also want to focus on speed when I get used to it. So I was focusing on the Kawasaki for it since it seems all around speedy for a beginner and I’m planning to ride with my brother around and his bike is pretty fast so the Honda seemed a bit slow for it and wouldn’t keep up with him very well.

    • @vellevlogs3467
      @vellevlogs3467  Před 2 měsíci

      @@kiran5793 it might be better to get the Ninja then so you can learn the basics and learn to handle the bike at high speeds without putting yourself in too much danger like if you were to start on a 600…. But handling any bike at high speed is dangerous
