I'm inclined to say the 4K60 is line-skipped (every second line perhaps) or something similar, hence the softness. I'd imagine the processor inside can't handle the full resolution at 4K and 60fps. 4K30 is probably the full width of the 12mp sensor because it *just* manages to cover the necessary resolution.

Could it be useful in a studio, like be able to follow the subject smoothly. Does autofocus works well? Lots deep of field?
Great review as always. I love hiking and I'm looking for a camera that allows me to quickly take high quality pictures with only pressing a button without the hassle of unlocking my big ass cellphone with dirty hands, wait for it to start the camera app and focus and pray that I won't drop it until the next picture. Do you think a camera like this will do what I'm looking for?

This is really good looking. Image quality. Build looks a little cheap, but As long as the image is good, then I don't mind babying my device.
Footage is really nice but if anyone gets this for vlogging I think they should get dedicated audio gear as built-in mic is full of static noice it seems

Yes it's true, I might ask a little too much 😅, but in fact this kind of device is kept longer than a smartphone (like 7 years).

I have the DJI Osmo Pocket and this FeiyuTech Pocket 2 is better. It is not as good as the DJI Osmo Pocket 2 but that device is much more expensive and you need the creator combo kit. I like my DJI device and I use it a lot. Portability is the most important thing for me. DSLR cameras are great but that only works for things you plan out in advance and is not always practical unless you use them mostly for photos like I do. Also these devices (DJI, GoPro etc) are more reliable than a smartphone and will produce more stable video. I have had to many bad experiences with crappy android software on my smartphone and a lot of other problems. Nice review.

Thank you for the video. This is just about as good as the original DJI Pocket and overall not better than the Fimi Palm 1 or 2. Quite frankly I don't understand what is the point of releasing more new products that in no way differ or improve or push the envelope of anything just as we have had already for more than 4 years already. And on another note, I SERIOUSLY HOPE that you got a defective unit because if this video is actually a true representation of the actual audio quality of this thing, it is appalling to say the least.

It's very stable but the 4k60 footage isn't so crisp and sharp. The time-lapse definitely looked sharper than the 4k60. Watching this on a 4k monitor. High-end mobile phones have better 4k footage than this. It does have a wider view when on the selfie mode compared to the DJI one.
still feel dji osmo pocket 2 the best over all
I have purchased from Aliexpress this model, after fully charged I followed
the instruction turned it on and formated the SD card, the device became
warm and shortly thereafter I received the message SD card error. Then I
formated the card again which was successful then got again the same
message . Made factory settings then finally card OK. The APP asked for
Firmware update which I did . With the device only 40 minutes it
discharged to ZERO . I fully recharged but then it wont start again . Its
a miserable product which now I need to return to China

It is many because the audio is low I had to increase it.

Why do Chinese brands always cheap out on the mics? Audio sounds bad.

Buttons clicking sound is too loud, they should've gone with rubber ones or a scrolling wheel, of course touch buttons would be the ideal choice, after all it's just another useless crowd funded product.
Damn if I can afford to make a prototype for the gadgets in mind.
