if i was ever gonna play synth in one of these you know i'd be playing tetris on the second monitor during long rests.

I would love how this concert is organized. I think it's quite interesting that the patches are labeled by page number if I'm not mistaken

I thought it was measure numbers
Yeah! The Bluecoats use set numbers for everything so I organized the concert into 5 sets (one for each movement) and then labeled the patches with set numbers within those sets.
@@robbiehalpner1879 if I mind asking, how did the patches switch by itself? was it automation or were you using like a pedal?
@@strykemusic Yes exactly! I’ve got a patch change pedal right next to my sustain pedal, and I’m controlling the patch changes with my foot.

How were the Mellotron bits done? Emulation VST just loaded into Mainstage?

@@anthonytrivisonnojr No, the Mellotron is a tape-based keyboard that the Beatles used a lot in their music. Some of those sounds/types of sounds show up Lucy so I was wondering how exactly they achieved those sounds.

What's that monitor in the middle?
So he can hear himself play because the speakers face away from the pit so it is damn near impossible to hear yourself play so monitors are used to hear their instrument.
That solo or whatever it was, it was really good Is this like a school or is this just like a band not affiliated with schools
This is a professional troupe
it's called DCI. it's basically people ages 16-22 from around that world that join these groups and compete through the summer. It's really cool you should totally check it out!

Unpopular Opinion: I think DCI auxiliaries have gotten out of hand. Electronic instruments should not be allowed. Brass and percussion only.
