She´s so chilled out and grounded! She appears to be mentally and emotionally stable. I loved her personality and what she has to say. I was actually inspired by her and my take away from her is to be confident in your own shoes, be your own person, do what you like, do not second-guess (trust in your intuition), do not regret and the enjoy the whole process. I get so dumb seeing and listening to her. I just keep smiling without pause. That elegance, that brilliance, that smile. I just love and respect this woman so much. There can be no one like her ever. She will always be my favourite actress and look at the way she talks. So gracefully and seems so sorted and humble.
Madhuri seems a bit detached from what she does. This detachment, which is not apathetic, is necessary to keep one's sanity intact in this mad world of entertainment. Newer, aspiring actors should learn from her. The film industry is awfully demanding; it gives as much as it takes away. If one is too engrossed in it, one might not be able to survive. A certain kind of detachment and pausing after a point is necessary...that helps.
Madhuri seems so sorted as a person! She is extremely genuine and talks from her heart, simplicity and elegance are her forte :) she will always be my favourite actress

One thing I realised in all these Madhuri interviews over the last one month (and trust me I have watched them all, even the Marathi ones and I dont even speak the langugage), is the fact that she is not really 'over'selling herself. You see the recent celebrities in interviews trying to be witty/funny and 'sell' themselves as a brand but Madhuri doesnt do that.
It could be because she is dis-interested/not an interesting personality, which is NOT the case. She is intelligent and witty and very committed.
So probably it is the other reason, which is that she belongs to an era where actors were actors and not brands. What are your thoughts??
BTW this is coming from a HUGE Madhuri fan, to an extent that my friends wish me on her birthday. :) Cant wait to watch this movie.

Fair enough...Bbut at the same time, you find it is soooo very necessary to use apostrophe s'es like it's, that's and ma'am (btw what is ma'am?), avoiding which can easily save you some more time and space, and you can reply even more to pointers like me. :) And I am so generally aware that i know you can still not fit your above comment in one tweet. hehe
Vrooom 's is the short grammatical abbreviation for has and is. And ma'am is the formally accepted short for madam. These are the usual grammatical rules. No wonders if u don't know them. And surely I don't lack thoughts and the willingness to express them.. Hence it's all OK if I need 2 tweets to express what I feel for anything or anyone.

SRK called her a solid man because she is very steady minded , unwavering, with a strong conviction which is usually displayed by iconic men. Ofcourse you cannot gender these characteristics, but if we have to generalize, these characteristics are attributed to a perfect man.. and he's right .. she is not at all "Chanchal", insecure....
Even many men are less of a "MAN" when compared to Madhuri..

Madhuri is such a luminescent personality, sounds sensible too. The interviewer on the other hand couldn’t be more cliched, i mean i could really pre empt the questions a below average film journo can ask a legend who is makin a come back. The lady is a yawn but like the legend madhuri is salvaging bad scripts, she salvaged this or it d be a yawnfest. Seems to be a common theme where the celebrities she interviews seem so much clued in and articulate than the wannabe cinephile this lady pretends to be

I don't get it why the interviewer expects that Madhuri would be at work each year. It's normal for actors to have a break because there aren't many good scripts and not everyone gets picked for a role. Also, it's good to focus on your personal life as your professional life feeds off your personal life. In Hollywood and where I live in Holland, actors don't work each year. There are huge gaps because the market for roles is slim.

Great interview Anupama! I really like the fact that you are bringing the equality factor to the fore front. Some people might say that it is a very common topic these days in interviews but it is something we need to talk and in a nicer way hammer on the audience because it is high time people start quantifying a movie on that attribute as well. One thing I am a bit shaky on is comparison with Hollywood. Yes, that industry is successful but we have our own industry and we are not a “me-too” of Hollywood. Let us detach and try excelling in our own way rather than referencing Hollywood while quantifying our own film industry. Hopefully this is something we can look into.

Anmol srivastava respect your opinion, but had madhuri got such powerfully written, performancee-oriented author-backed roles, she would 've made those films legendary. Likewise with late sridevi as well. Priyanka is fantastic, but doesn't hold a candle to natural potential and charm of madhuri
Anmol Srivastava yes, Priyanka is truly inspiring in her performances in films like Baywatch , and in the TV series Quantico. She should win an Oscar for Baywatch. She is such a global star , it’s truly tragic an inspired piece of art like Baywatch flopped so badly. But I feel that she nails it, perfects the accent so well and really slips into the depth of the characters. Alex Parrish was such an inspiring role, so much so that I am sure Spielberg will cast her in his next film. She especially outdoes Kangana, Radhika, Vidya in all her portrayals.....additionally, it’s inspiring because she has no PR backing or PR machinery that markets her in any way whatsoever, she is all talent after all😌
