My classmates and I developed this strategy back in elementary school together and we even called them “automatic wins” where we would try to make the “7” shape
My connect 4 lexicon is mostly a mix of terminology from James Dow Allen's textbook, John Tromp and Victor Allis's writings, and just the common words that I've heard talking to other players.
@@telph3223 He also called it the 6-1, but I can't find any references to narrow or wide (wide being when yellow responds on the opposite side.) Not sure where I heard that!
Good... no. There's papergames and boardgames.io, but they are both pretty buggy with bad UI. Ei8ghts sorta works and has cash prize tournaments now and then, but there is no playerbase and you have to sign up for some crypto wallet nonsense to get an account. FlyOrDie is ugly and hard to use but that's where the expert players hang out. Maybe I'll just make a server which doesn't suck... someday
I am excited to have my understanding of reality itself changed! But first, we must establish parity.
1 is odd, 2 is even, therefore the self is an illusion and causality is a myth
"But first, we need to talk about parallel universes."

could you make a video of the most common openings please?
your videos are the best out there on connect 4
This is the strat that I used, I knew it before the vide by myself and I learned that I'm not that bad after all
I've never seen this game. Looks very cool👍👍
I would watch more of this content.
Here because of the next part :) Awesome!
This was very interesting to watch! It was like watching a video about chess!
Alright. Subbed if you're making more videos
Amazing vid - are there any other channels/videos that you would recommend for learning more strategy?
Unfortunately not really :/
Good video!
Thanks :)
awesome
Did you make up your terminology or get it from somewhere?

@@twoswap i know threats and minor threats are from the james dow allen book, but where does "the narrow 6-1" come from?

@@twoswap why is it called 6-1?
@@telph3223 6 disks in the center column, and then 1 to the side of it. Compare with the 5-4 or 5-5 for example.
This is good. But would be good for more regular updates.
In chess, its called a Zugzwang (every move is a losing move) or a double-attack
Edit: :)
whats a goodwebsite to play connect 4?
