This is heartbreaking
Why do these comments think mentally ill offenders should be in prison without medication? The lack of education and critical thinking is insane
I haven't seen anyone suggest that, but they do give out meds in prison, if a person is criminal insane they should be in a hospital setting, but if it's not from a mental illness that should go to prison.
National socialism influence unfortunately.
People commenting that these individuals got off easy… will never have to understand what it feels like to be mentally ill. I hope they’re all recovering.
I think they think that because not all mentally ill people are violent, there has to be a line you draw because violent people maybe losing their freedoms is better than a innocent person losing their life by them.
I understand having compassion for these people- they are obviously struggling mentally- but I don't think it's a good idea to put them out into society again where other people are at risk. It seems like the doctors are being way too cavalier with risking other people's safety.
The situation here in my country is so bad that some people actually have to commit a crime in order to get psychiatric help. So one guy stabbed a young girl, a complete stranger, to death here in my hometown. Another guy struck a stranger on the head with an axe. That victim died, too. They had both tried to get help before committing those acts but the mental health care system just doesn't have enough resources to help everyone. PS. I live in Europe but don't want to name the country.
That happens in the united states all the time.
@@kimberlyruttenberg9567 bro shut up this is why people hate America
When the patient has a history of violence community based psych wards want nothing to do with them, it's the part of the "mental health crisis" nobody talks about. U.S by the way same problem here.
U live in finland
I can tell by the name
Tony should be in prison. To be allowed to lounge about in bed til 2pm, getting waited on, free everything - what's the incentive to get better?
No he shouldn't he's criminally insane
I agree ,he should never get out from where he is, not only is he not any better, he's always angry, they can't let him around innocent people.
...These people are living in a luxury of sorts.
Compared to the average dole recipient, definitely.
There's nothing luxurious about mental illness. May you never find out firsthand.
When was this recorded? Facebook looked old
The security camera said 2016.
To answer the question in the title, in a word, no. Violent offenders should be given life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Prison is no place for people with mental health issues end of story!
@@carebear1731 People with mental health issues are placed in psych wards or other institutions dealing with mental health or the criminally insane, not prisons. I was talking about VIOLENT OFFENDERS especially those who killed someone who should stay in prison for life without parole. They have shown themselves to be a danger to others and should not be in free society especially if they just see others as objects to do as they please with them.
If people think a person is somehow being let off easy by entering one of these facilities and not going to prison they are thoroughly mistaken .
It’s kinda hilarious that the guy with weird hands just draws nothing but hands lmfao.
I feel for these people, but in saying that i don't think that letting them out on the streets if they aren't going to take their meds is a recipe for disaster! If they have to stay in hospital so be it, that's better than maybe them hurting an innocent person.i really know what im talking about, I've been there.
Don't think businesses will be lining up for John to volunteer!!
The doctor who thinks they should be let out, should try them at his home with his family for a minimum of 1 month, let's see if he agrees to that, because that's what he's doing to the unsuspecting public.
I agree with you. I don’t believe these people should be out on the street because they’re actually dangerous if approached by a stranger the wrong way
@chronically_bqueen B exactly, they always wait until some poor soul has lost their life, before they take them back inside, when they already know how dangerous they are, outrageous.
@@teresareynolds4364when they are properly taking meds, they are very likely not going to reoffend. The psychiatrist knows this. The biggest issue is non -compliance with meds.
@@river8760 Yes, and that is a HUGE risk, and that is why they shouldn't be let out. You don't put the law abiding society at risk for the sake of the offenders.
@@jesussaves6625 it is a calculated risk for sure.
& someone like my grandfather who I really didn't know was severely mentally ill and could be violent from what I have heard was a basically owned by th3 state of New Hampshire till he died
It’s stricter in rehab ! Wtf ?!!
Seriously for real, ya know what I mean yeah!? 🤣
I am for capital panishment.
Capital punishment to what extreme?
Are you for the removal of the testicles of violent men?
Testosterone is responsible for human aggression.
I would just give violent offenders who killed life in prison without the possibility of parole. They tend to die in prison anyway either by natural causes or by their own or someone else's hands.
I some cases I agree. But everybody has a breaking point.
Even for the most mentally ill?
It is a risk, but if they were in regular prison they would do their time and get out. Here at least they are getting medication and treatment, in the hopes of a life one day.
you know what i mean ya
Oh my goodness, that drove me CRAZY!!! Yikes!
Bahahaha
I'm ashamed to say that I'm one of those people 🤣
It's a south east thing.
I know it's a serious documentary, but.. you know what I mean, yeah?
@@littlelizzi3135 to me it always sounds like "djoonowahmeanyeh?" 😄🥰 Gosh I love the UK accents.
John draws hands alot, there gorgeous, but i wonder if there is a reason that he draws them.
Now that I've watched more of this I've noticed his one hand is different than the other one,I guess that is the reason he draws hands so much, it's sad really, but I don't know of any other way to deal with what he's done, he's stabbed two different people, that cannot ever be forgotten.
I agree
psychiatree eeee
Nahmeanyeah?
Bring back the chair that’s what I think! Px
I know what you mean, yeah. 👍
😂😂did u just answer your own question ⁉️ sometimes I do that but not quite in the same way 😊
Half would not even be there if there were proper Psych services. Half of these offenders may never have offended if services were better. it's the same in Canada, Australia, NZ and so much worse in Merica.
first
Omg!!!
You DID it!

psychiatry is PSEUDOSCIENCE
There is no such thing as borderline personality disorder it’s actually called DID
They are two separate disorders. Borderline Personality is a Cluster B disorder. That group also contains Histrionic and Narcissistic disorders. DID used to be known as Multiple Personality Disorder. It occurs in only 1-2% of people and is in the cluster known as dissociative disorders. Patients may exhibit some overlap of symptoms or be diagnosed with comorbidities, but they are separate disorders.
Some need to do more research before they point fingers and judge. Their are different categories of BPD.
@@LoveMusic-pd5iz no they’ll not separate disorders lol pick up the DSM 5 moron
Lmao bro they are completely different disorders. I have bpd and unfortunately its very real do ur research
