  • In a recent statement, Iranian official warned that Iran might reconsider its nuclear doctrine if faced with a nuclear threat from Israel.
This marks the second time in a week Kharrazi has made such remarks, with similar comments reported by Iran's Student News Network on May 9.
Iran has consistently maintained that it has no plans to obtain nuclear weapons, despite Western governments' suspicions that Tehran seeks nuclear technology to build a bomb.
These suspicions have fueled a long-running dispute, resulting in significant international sanctions.
Kharrazi's comments follow his 2022 assertion that Iran is technically capable of making a nuclear bomb but has not decided to do so.
The status of the 2015 nuclear deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), was also discussed at the conference.
