Bryan Adams is a great Canadian singer songwriter from the 80's-90's. He is known for his ballads & he has a unique raspy voice. "Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman?" is from the 1995 "Don Juan DeMarco" film. Bryan has had so many hits such as "Cuts Like a Knife", "Straight From the Heart", "Run to You", "Summer of '69", "Heaven", "(Everything I Do) I Do It for You", "Can't Stop This Thing We Started", "Thought I'd Died & Gone to Heaven", "Please Forgive Me", "All for Love". He has won a lot of awards for his music.
My late wife's favorite singer , one of our bridesmaids sang this and his I'll Always be Right There in the church at our wedding . gets me every time

This is from an absolutely delightful movie called "Don Juan DeMarco," starring Johnny Depp. It's got romance, sensuality (in fact, it's pretty darn steamy at times), action (sword fights), intrigue, escapes, a mystery, and two parallel love stories. Also starring Marlon Brando (in one of his last performances, and in a rare light role) and Faye Dunaway (not sure if you know who those actors are, but I mentioned them just in case). Highly recommend!
Wasn't Selana singing in that movie ? I know I watch this movie at the theatre.. ( no netflix,,etc. back then ) a very loooong tome ago ..

This song was raised to the heavens by the presence of the late Paco de Lucia on the Spanish guitar. He was one of the greatest to ever touch the instrument. You might try doing a re-listen and just pay attention to everything he adds to the mood of the production. Bringing him on was a stroke of genius.
I lived in Europe w/my parents when I was a teen & we always tried to find the best music representative of the country we were vacationing in & Paco de Lucia was highly recommended to us, so we bought an album & I still listen to it. Fuente y Caudill is fabulous. 👍👍😄🥰
In my opinion, Bryan Adams' singing is very good, but its the legendary Paco de Lucía's guitar playing that puts this song on another level.

I’m Canadian and was in Mexico with family around the time this was popular. It was a huge hit in Mexico at the time, playing on the radio and music TV there, including our resort there. The backup musicians were a Mexican group.

The reason it sounds Latin is because the movie is about a guy who thinks he’s the greatest ever lover from Mexico. Don Juan Demarco is a Casanova type guy.
