"Hurry, hurry, hurry," laughed Gordon. "You can't get away! You can't get away!" laughed the coaches. Poor Thomas was going faster than he had ever gone before. He was out of breath and his wheels hurt, but he had to go on. "I shall never be the same again," he thought sadly. "My wheels will be quite worn out." At last, they stopped at a station.

Loved the original series and the throwback to this in The Adventure Begins was good.
Throwing some tech into the mix, Thomas was an E2 which, I believe topped out as 70mph on a level grade but had a standard speed of 55mph. Gordon however is a A1 Pacific which tops out 100mph easy. Thomas was easily attaining speed 30-50% greater than he was designed for.
makes me feel proud listening to this, to bad they canceled the old series with the models, that was my childhood, Im 14 and still go back and listen to this stuff to bring my memories!

I think this version of Gordon's theme suits Gordon better.
This would also work nicely for N&W 611's theme this side of the Atlantic.
She's a big streamlined express engine with a deep booming whistle; it just fits.
This should be flying scotsmans theme for the run back to york to day
I think that Gordons theme really fits the Union Pacific 844 well. Because it can do 110 mph. I guess it does go well with N&W 611 too.

My little boy (3) absolutely loves these SilverDragonTV Thomas themes - these arrangements sound so full and well-made - we play them loud in my car as we're driving! I wish there was more - like the Mavis theme.
I remember the golden days where Gordon's express used to have 4 or 5 coaches. Not the measly 2 or 3 he pulls now.

Thomas usually pushes from behind to help the engine start, but he was always uncoupled first, this time they forgot to uncouple Thomas, Gordon’s chance had come.
“Down the mine, is he?” laughed Gordon. “Ha ha, what a joke! Little Thomas, we’ll have you out in a couple of puffs!”

They should repaint the N&W 611 4-8-4 blue and red for her first run since the 90's.
+Pianoman71213 Correction: Gordon is a A1 pacific type 1 with some A0 modifications and LMS complete under carriage.Also top speed of 104.43 on June 7, 2010 running light engine back from Barrow(execpt with the diameter coach) to see how fast he was after started being built back 1920. (90 years of being in steam) Except ended up going "swimming" as to speak; at Arlesburgh harbor at going at a ridiculous rate of a steady 61.13mph along the branch,but the diameter coach had a lever installed just in case if the couldn't stop,and which they did use the lever to stop. Gordon also went into the ocean of speeds at 58.87mph,severely damaging himself.Also back in 1923 April 6th,Gordon reached 100.81mph and arrived at Vicarstown 57 minutes early with a 6 coach test run with the diameter coach.But on 1939 August 24 at 3:48pm Gordon reached 103.97mph while pulling a 7 coach Express including the diameter coach arriving 1 hour and 2 minutes early and 37 seconds at Tidmouth.Wittnes say they recall seeing Gordon red in the face trying to beat Flying Scotsman record.Also saying that Gordon was over the yard limit which was 20 and he was doing 31.04mph which was quiet dangerous.They also recall seeing Gordon having sparks coming out of his funnel,his parts coming lose,and seeing the Fat Controller praising Gordon for his efforts.Gordon was sent back to the works and came back pulling Henry and the Express back to Tidmouth.
