Hello, ty for the thorough review! I'm wondering, if I clean my windows once a week, and they don't get that dirty in-between this time frame, can I use directly the wet-mode, instead of starting first with the dry mode? Do you recommend the dry mode first only for very dirty windows?
Just bought a 298. Got a question, I plugged it in, the light was orange, then it turned green, indicating that is was ready to use. I placed it on a window, it starts blinking both red & blue lights + the alert is sounding. I've done this 3 times now, keep getting the same results. How long should it take to charge it?
Is it safe if the window has a sticker? The sticker will be removed? We will try to buy it for our store but some of our window is with the sticker stating the name of our store. Thanks
@@homerobotusa I've bought HOBOT 298 and unfortunately it works like a s**t. It's pathfinding alghoritms are really poor and unpredictable. Some windows it cleans OK, but some of them it cannot handle (going up and down all around) so in result I have to keep eye on it all the time. I could send you videos from windows cleaning as a proof.
I got one for my birthday recently. i thought it was a cool gift, as i hate cleaning (who doesn't really...). Fun thing is, this thing only works on clean windows, when your window is dirty it will just smudge out the dirt all over it. You can run multiple cycles and get a better result, but then it kinda defeats the point of it, takes more effort to run 3-4 cycles for a robot than just get a cloth and manually clean it in 2 minutes. So now it's just sitting in the attic, collecting dust... And i still clean my windows manually. Oh well, i guess it's finally doing what it was supposed to do all along xD
I really don't like this robot, it was a waste of money. It only cleans the interior windows ok-ish, in can't handle the exterior ones. And the original Hobot window solution leave some greasy marks on the window.
I didn't experience greasy marks when using on clean windows, maybe it's just smudged out dirt? As that's what these things seem to be perfectly good at.
I appreciate very much this detailed information. Thanks a lot.
Very nice machine very loud though. Might want to look into making it more quiet

Yes, it's correct. The dry mode first only for dirty windows.
@@homerobotusa Ty!
Does it cleans corners properly?
Thank you for review. Which one you prefer: Hobot -298 or Hobot 388, I saw it on your table in this video and why?
They are different.
298 is faster and suitable for large windows due to caterpillars.
388 washes more thoroughly due to circular motions.

@@kellysullivan8439 please watch our another video with this problem. czcams.com/video/hvomKlvQeeM/video.html Robot works with power cord only.
@@homerobotusaI read the instructions, rather than just skimmed it🤭 saw that it had to be plugged in while using. Works very well 😃
Thanks. Just opened mine. Started charging but no light went on ( red or green ) in battery window. Should I be worried?
Please send short video to service@homerobotusa.com
Hi. Were you able to fix this issue? I’m on the same situation... no light at all :(
Hi,my hobot 298 isnt working properly,it doesnt go up,it struggles while going up and gets stuck.
Hi, you need try to clean caterpillars.
My worked only for a few times.
Can i use this on mirrors and floor?
For mirror yes. For horizontal surfaces more suitable is HOBOT-388. For floor - HOBOT LEGEE.
Is it safe if the window has a sticker? The sticker will be removed? We will try to buy it for our store but some of our window is with the sticker stating the name of our store. Thanks
For a robot, a sticker is not a problem.
My hobot 298 keeps sliding down even while going sideways it has absolutely no grip on the window. Can't even climb up.
Maybe the caterpillars are too wet. This is usually the main reason for the 298 model.
how long is the power cord? my highest window is 24' up
Total length of wire included is 17 feet. Extension cords can be used to increase.
Are Hobot products available in Spain? If yes, can you provide the name of some dealers where we can purchase your devices? Thx
Try to search on amazon.es
@@homerobotusa Thx for your prompt unswer
Youre cleaning a cleaning a clean window
Can we use this on tiles ?
Yes, of course. The HOBOT can stick to any smooth surface.
I think the grouting grooves would cause it to lose suction
What about triangle windows? Is there any problem for Hobot to clean such windows?
Yes, because the HOBOT was designed for rectangular windows.
