Experiment on Relationship between Resistance of a Constantan Wire and its Length

  • It is very important to find out if your ammeter, voltmeter, batteries, rheostat, and connecting wires are in good working condition. In this video, I will show you a simple way to set up an experiment to determine the relationship between resistance of a constantan wire and its length.
    What is the hypothesis? The longer the constantan wire, the higher the resistance. Can you prove it? Let's find out.

    Sir,the colour of crocodile can be connected randomly right?Or we should follow the colour of crocodile clip as yours in every component?

      You can choose whatever colour you want to connect to whichever terminal.

      No it does not. It depends on the electronic schematics or circuit diagram.

    does only the voltmeter have a parallel connect to wire? Does the ammeter and rheostat need to be parallel as well?

      Only voltmeter is in parallel to the constantan wire. Everything else is in series.

      @@yanahaider4429 The negative terminal of the battery should go to the negative terminal of ammeter/voltmeter.
