I was there in the front row and it blew me away. The energy everywhere was out of this world. Thanks Metallica and everyone involved that night.
I was in the back row and the show was incredible! So pumped to have experienced it.
Does metallica show the setlist of songs that they're going to play before you go to the concert?
@@RandomPerson-ui3xv no they don’t, we knew this would be a tribute concert and they said they were gonna be playing songs from 83-84 so we knew it was gonna be mostly kill ‘em all and ride the lightning. But we also got am I evil and this song. I was lucky enough to attend one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to
@@RandomPerson-ui3xv Nope! But you could see the set list on a piece of paper on the floor of the stage
You know the guys are finally old when they play Blitzkrieg at the original Speed of the song. Killer song nonetheless and killer band as always 🤘
@@krystofodehnal9448 I just looked it up bc of your comment and omfg that was absolutely *_ridiculous!!_*
@@Syclone0044James’s downpicking in that video was on another planet fast!
The entire show rocked. I was hoping they'd play this song and it they didn't disappoint. (They seldom do)
Played it last time I saw them in Glasgow, time before that they played Trapped Under Ice. Always seem to throw us a rare song cos it's so long between visits!
Sounding tighter than they have in years. Bringing the tempo down probably helped.
@@nikitamcconnell8027 well you have to understand to some degree tho dude, the majority of the songs they played they wrote when they were in their 20s and late teens, they're all collectively in their early 60s. They arent gonna play at the studio version from the 80s. Im suprised they still even can play these songs
@@nikitamcconnell8027 well thats weird to me it sounds the same fast tempo and good quality i dont have a good ear tho lol to notice different tempos eathier way it still sounds very good to me!!!!
@@brydon07 Listen to 1986 and then listen to this version. I’d say the song is at least 25 bpm slower. Either way I prefer the slower bpm
@@brydon07 it's noticeable slower mate... by a lot! not that is bad a thing, just slower =D
I always wanted to hear this one live!!!! 🖤🌸
Well the original band that wrote it, Blitzkrieg, plays it live all the time, so…
They haven't sounded this good since the Black Album era, Viva la Metallica!
1999-00: "hold my drink"
They sounded better on the 2019 Euro run. Hetfields voice was stronger, this song here was straining him a bit.
Because their using real amps here.Messa boogie. Much better sound than the digital sound of late tours.
Champion.
@@MrOasis316 whatever you think, for me he sounded better when I said, more distortion, control and body. Sounds thin and a little strained here... But it's a full set of his early career so it's not exactly the easiest ranges for. Don't get me wrong James is one of the most consistent singers out there in rock
Metallica - Patrimônio cultural e histórico do Heavy Metal mundial
This is the setlist many of us had waited for. Sprinkle in Battery, Damaged Inc., and Blackened and its the greatest ever!!!
Imagine being the guy at 1:13 who's in the front row of a Metallica show caught texting during an absolute banger. Lol, the people today are just not the same
He could’ve been deleting some p*rn to free up space so he could record it.. i mean I can’t be the only one who’s ever had to do that right lol
I don’t know why people are staring at there phones when METALLICA IS RIGHT THERE INFRONT OF YOUR EYES
He was probably texting his boys...
THEY'RE PLAYING FUCKIN BLITZKRIEG!!
Haha....true....I FN lost it during this song. That setlist was a one of a kind. One of my top Metallica concerts I've attended live.
Wow 40 plus years later and they still jam it as they where kids again 🤘🤘
This show was honestly one of my favs in recent memory, they played so many classics you don’t hear too often
Upload the whole show! It was badass!
I'm utterly impressed how good they're sounding. Long live metallica🤘🏼
This is the one I wanted to see, Thank God!
Amazing performance!! Live long Metallica!!🤘🤘🎸
Love the scene with flys and app/cabs everywhere. Kirk’s solo was 🔥🔥🔥
Bloody Hell ... you've guys literally are making this world a better place to live. Thanks for dropping each one of these songs right here, but please, upload the entire show for free. Absolutely masterpiece.
I love this live version I probably listen to it like 50 times by now
Absolute destruction! The fellas sound killer. Hope they are in the studio, channeling this energy because there aren’t too many opportunities left!
One of the most addictive air guitar riffs ever
@@dagsouleyedblue407 Theres one pub I often hang out at and once I requested that Focus song and now its the anthem over there. Haha. Cheers !
BLITZKRIEG is on fire and the boy is… checking his Instagram or Facebook ( 1 minute and 14 seconds at the video)! Poor generation! Poor James!
Truly an amazing band..as biased as most of us die hards are, nobody can deny the agelessness of the Tallica boys- they're not playing show tunes or ballads yet coming up on 60 yrs old and they still can play METAL! I'm only 47 and I KNOW I couldn't go up there and kick ass like this for 90 mins to 2 hours! Metallica is something special, many of us who have known that forever and it's great to see that number growing- TALLICA gives you heavy baby! 🤘🤘💪💪
Not only that, seems like they are on tour a lot, other younger musicians would give up :)
@@gritsteel4559 Good point! 👍 They are the ultimate road dogs, I think truly what keeps them going is the legions of fans who still show up night after night show after show- yes money drives them, they're human, but they've already made multi-generational fortune so it's more than that- no matter what state, city, country or continent they play in, you can count on a crowd that ranges from 12 years old to 70, a crowd that feeds them the energy they need and the energy they give back is why we keep going to see them play- I'm so glad my 3 sons and my wife are fans too, it's a family thing now!
@@keithfloydjr4014 I saw them about a month ago in Pittsburgh. They shut the whole city down! You couldn't drive anywhere, took hours to leave. Any city they come too its on lockdown till it's over. Best show I ever saw
This is why I use this song as one of my morning alarms! It's impossible to not feel energized from it.
Kirk just been so good lately , and Lars just playing so good!!!!
Kirk is getting in a lot of extra practice these days. His own solo album & gigs with Rob & The Wedding Band.
And Lars working with Myles, he must be feeling more inspired.
On top of that--good old fashioned competition.
It's obvious they've upped the musicianship. 👊🤘
Tallyca Hamuhlhetru I agree they just having fun and making it look easy, we lucky they still around!!
0:06 The scream it's amazing HAGSHAGSHAGHAGH
Man even though it's a cover, I remember hearing this song and being blown away, that riff towards the end before they go back into the main riff, SO EPIC! Metallica made this song epic af!
Increíble música de Metallica me encanta su estilo son geniales gracias por existir. 🤘🤘🤘🤘
I hope one day they play astronomy live
METALLICAAAAAAAAAA
All the old blitzkrieg demos from 80 81 are incredible their mind exploded when they heard that stuff tallica boys
2:06 and 2:32 is the reason why i wanna learn guitar because of kirk
I can’t without Metallica
Metallica is fucking great
This concert was the best I've seen of them!! the energy and sound they had that night was UNIQUE!!! Metallica Rules 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Lars is a sick bad ass strategist. He knew he was changing drum kits to Black and WHITE and never spilled the beans.
Playback speed @ 1.25x and you feel metallica live in 1980s 🤘🏻
Rob's a freaking monster. He's the Cthulu of Bass!
Really appreciate all the great music. I've been listening to Metallica almost my whole life. I'm 44 in February. So awesome these guys are still going strong.
BLITZKRIEG?!?! I havent seen them play that one in forever
Damn they still got it. I first saw them live in the 80s and I knew they were the kings of metal back then.
Sanette from South Africa!I'm the biggest Metallica fan!!!!wish they could come and visit SA!.The song 'Nothing else matters' really saved and changed my life.Totally addicted to that song, helps me through tough times.I looooove Metallica!!!!!!you guys rock!
Cant wait for this to go live
Metallica always delivers!!! keep on Rockn Roll Guys....
Damn this sounds so good …. Who ever the sound guy is deserves a fckn raise….the band is sounding great and working together super tight too!
The practice sessions during covid have em sound so good now. Even lars.
03:14 some dominant 7 to change that Power Chords atmosphere Yeah !!! :D
Jaymz´ vocals are awesome.
Кирк красава, обожаю соло в этой песне, когда идут бенды рычагом, как улёт какой-то в космос и главное по табе всё просто, может потому и шикарно. Замечательно!
Also lol at anyone who can’t tell how slow this is compared to their 1986 Canadian live version. Holy balls the difference
Los venezolanos tripeando por allá, ya que por aquí nada de conciertos de esas bandas. El último de Metallica fue en el 2010. Excelente versión, no era para menos.
Diamond Head 4ever!!! 🤘😎
Hello everyone 😄, what a wonderful Friday with this fantastic premiere 🤘, it's amazing, I love you!!! METALLICA FOREVER ❤️ 🤘🤘
I choosed to speed-up the video to 1,25 and now it's sounds like the original 🙃
I WAS THERE!
Daaamnn... you still got it guys..and you still give me goosbumps....Cheers
The same exact crunch of the down picking is still there just like the first time I listened to it 31 years ago ... Superb
Blitzkrieg is a fucking awesome band, there “newer” albums like theatre of the damned and judge not are some of the most slept on albums in metal history
Friday evening Metallica delight 😇😇😇😇💜🤘🔥👑💓
I’ve grown to love Robert his energy on that bass is infectious 🤘
I like the stage set up with the road cases, if those cases could talk they would have stories to tell
Sound is unbelievable, keep that crunchyness Metallica
What a performance. Tallica boys always rock
80% of the people at this gig didnt know that Blitzkrieg is Blitzkrieg's song
This track is best for military compilation videos
Ojalá fueran inmortales, nos vemos en la eternidad🖤🖤🖤🖤.
Hells yeah ! Blitzkrieg! They're still kicking ass !
The part at 2:52 to 3:29 was actually a very musical part that I forgot was even there and made it very apparent that '82 Metallica definitely didn't write this song...
My adrenalin 1000%🔥🔥🔥🔥 i love kirk❤ perfect solo
such underrated song
When KEA came out I was 10.This was my favorite song, didn't know this was a cover tune. Now that I know, this my favorite MetallicA cover song.
It's kind of cool to have all the gear boxes out in the background of the stage... I'm sure makes for easier packing up at the end of the show... lol!
my favorite cover
The best band in the world
kirk is on fire
Happy Birthday Cliff 🎉🤘🎂🎉❤️
Blitzkrieg! Aiiight
3:53 - YOU THE MAN James... 🤣🤣😂😂
37 years later and i still can't find that place where someone fucked up.
Those real amps sound so much better than the X Effect they use normally
Algo que puedo confirmar, es que la banda le gusta sorprender al publico con canciones que aunque no tan populares, son una bomba!!
The Buried Alive 7" is one of the most treasured items in my vinyl collection.
Just Great !!! 🤘😁🤘 To see Metallica live is just like not from this earth!!!
Hell yeah haven’t heard that song live in forever!!
Ive said it before and I'll say it again, Make this setlist PERMANENT!!!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
@@TDAshton For one tour before they come out with a new album that's certainly still years off, ABSOLUTELY. Just add some Puppets and Justice. Stop there. An 80's only setlist for one tour would be amazing.

Slower than Metallica's original version but closer to the speed of the original version by Blitzkrieg sounds awesome
Thank you Metallica. I was there… you guys are the best of the best.
My favourite kirk solo, absolutely nailed it, Metalica forever!!!!!
Man, I really dig the old fashioned backline and flightcases on stage. Makes it way less sterile than Metallica stages usually are
Cover of Blitzkrieg ' blitzkrieg' ...... killer tune .
this band getting better and better
Opaaa!!!
Obrigado Metallica! 🤘
I've been playing the solo at 2:52 way harder than I needed to.
I need blu ray from this show!!!
Good old shit.. I love this kind of old school solos better..
Fun Fact: Metallica has played this song live less than 90 times over the years.
and one of those times was in quebec 1986, and thats the fasted downpicking I have ever seen from James
Other fun fact: The last time it was played before 2022 was in 2018.
And another fancy fact I just played in my truck 🛻 👍 really loud 👌
Another fun fact: Jonny Z was a ritual sacrifice
First time hearing it right now, great song! 👌
