A am ceoliac and have been to Suaze 3 times. I can't remember anywhere specific, but it wasn't a problem and I ate well each time. The only issue is if you want a quick snack at lunctime, rather than a full meal, then you are a bit limited. The shops sell GF bread, so I tend to make sandwiches. So don't worry and enjoy your skiing and apres ski.

@@Sauzeonline just left and definitely will never return the maintenance of the slopes is the worst I’ve ever experienced. One of the local bar owners told me to complain directly to the lift company as the general maintenance of the resort has been steadily deteriorating over the last few years . Unbiased review .

@@justinsherfield5785as I said at the start of the video, last week was tough. With the links shut everyone was funnelled down the same lower slopes which haven’t the best coverage. Once things opened up though it was a different story. I’m just pointing out that it’s unfair to say that there is ice everywhere.

I was here early Jan 24 and I will not go back. The lifts are very slow - well under the needed capacity. One of the main lifts is a two seater with huge queues.

Hello James & Sinead, thanks for your very helpful videos which we've been watching closely! I have a couple of questions ahead of our trip next week:
    - How long does it take to ski to Monginevro from Sestriere, including lift/gondola times? We are two experienced and fairly quick skiers
    - What areas in the Vialattea are only opened on the weekend and are they worth visiting?
    Thank you!
    Will

Coming out later in the season. Agree that black 21 is the best run, but are there any plans to replace the buttons with a chairlift? They dampen an otherwise amazing run.

We've seen the skiing grannies several times over the last two days.
Just a condition report of my own (feel free to share) - conditions were good and runs fairly empty in Clavier. Gondola and chairlift running across cessana, but have to get chairlift down coming back. Definitely worth a trip across.
(Didn't make it all the way to Montgenevre, took a lot of time to get over there)

Great reports, thanks both - I'm looking forward to getting out to Sauze soon! I have a little query I hope you may be able to help with. Looking at the Sestriere Tapetti Jolly webcam; there seems to be some sort of event going on, with loads of ski/snowboard stands... I wonder if you know what this is and how long it's going on for? I can't find any info online! Thanks, Joe.

Hi James and Sinead, thank you for all the information you provide. My daughter and I will be staying in Sauze late February. We are both good skiers. Our plan is to ski 4 days in total. How easy/difficult is it to get from Sauze to MontGenevre (and back). Would you ski there and back, or would you take some sort of transportation (we will have a car). I guess I am asking about the ease/difficulty of exploring the entire ski area. What kind of lift ticket should we get (International/local?). Thanks

Good morning! We’re heading to Sauze in a few weeks time for our second ski trip, first was in Val thorens last year and we only managed green and blue runs but notice they’re mainly red in Sauze. We were wondering how the grading of runs in Italy is, compared France? Thank you! Tom and Sarah

    • @jimryder5387
      @jimryder5387 Před 4 měsíci

I was there last week and the runs were great - I would say the red runs are similar to France and maybe a bit steeper in places - ski lifts are a lot faster and not as modern as France - must say - I prefer Italy though - have a good week

Hi James and Sinead. I have been aware of your reports for a while now and enjoy your content. I am due to take a school group to Sestriere this Easter and need some help/info about transportation between the villages. I am wanting to take my kids to the Laser Tag at the Olympic Centre but need an affordable way of getting there. The public bus is not regular enough, I believe. So I am trying to find a company that could ferry us by minibus. Ideally trying to get 17 on a bus. Can you help? Cheers Lee Duckett @bishopwordsworth's school

    Hi James and Sinead,
Great information from your channel. My son and I are intermediates/advanced skiers who don't stop much arriving Sestriere but would prefer to start our week in the easier areas and progress to the harder parts if possible. Are there any areas in Vialattea easier than others and can you recommend an order to cover them in days out? (possibly a similar question to below). Also school holiday time in UK for some w/c 11th Feb, would any areas be quieter than others?
    Many thanks
    Matt
