I totally agree with your rant on red notice. It’s really sad that these are the kinds of movies that have been being put out lately. At the moment I mostly have my attention on A24 and foreign films, not big budget studio films
We've been conditioned to just accept mediocre effort in action filmmaking thanks to people like dwayne duh rock prioritizing a tiktok audience of lowest common denominator. Rock has never actually starred in a good movie. But instead of saying "wow John Wick is actually a great movie" we say "Rampage was awful but duh rock is so charisma and i have no brain and you shouldnt either" 🙄
I like Space Jam but I'm OK with being on a bad movie list however, the fact that nostalgia is so powerful and we now believe the original was a masterpiece or the Shawshank redemption really bothers me lol
It’s not that the first was a masterpiece. There shouldn’t Have been another one made. It’s literally a grab at bron topping Jordan in something else.

Being absolutely honest, I've seen none of those films. I am actually struggling to remember if I watched anything from 2021.
Matrix Resurrections was the biggest disappointment for me. It was missing the memorable music of Don Davis, the legendary fight choreography of Yuen Woo-ping, the perfect cinematography of Bill Pope, and most importantly -- the writing and directing of Lily Wachowski. The whole thing felt like a Matrix-themed ad for Doritos.
I'd love to be sitting in the corporate boardroom when someone pitched Home Sweet Home Alone, and actually convinced the studio to spend million$ on it.
Space Jam 2 is more of a 2 hour TV commercial for HBO Max instead of just being a feature length movie

Completely agree about Red Notice. I love Gal Gadot but Ryan Reynolds and Dwayne Johnson are just caricatures of themselves at this point. They’re both very funny and handsome and can do action stuff…it’s just boring. It’s sad to know they’re making a couple more of them😩

oh man i totally agree with your take on Modern Cinema/Movies and your rant about NETFLIX. being born in the 80s and growing up with classics like the back to the futures, indiana jones, terminators, Rocky Films and all the great 80's/90s films....wow do i feel bad for today's kids. they are being spoonfed CRAP by netflix/hulu and all these other streaming services and they don't know any better...TRULY SAD BROTHER. i'll just stick with my thousands upon thousands of DVDs i've collected with all my faves from the 70's/80's/90's and 2000s. Screw streaming services...i like to search out/hunt for old and new movies, call me old fashioned. love your vids man, keep it up!

Nice list, I agree. I forgot about Home Alone reboot and Snake Eyes. I've seen some other lists have MK and Halloween Kills as top 3 worst and I'm like are these people on crack? lol Not saying they couldn't be better but I feel like your list is way better and more accurate to be honest. Great job!
And I will be reviewing that MK movie soon on my channel and showing off my MK pops from that movie.

@@megamikethemovieman As an MK fan familiar with the lore it could have been better and the 95 MK was better but it still is HBOs highest streamed movie and did good for a first big pandemic movies movie considering. Think much better than annihilation but not as good as the first movie. But yeah it's a fun flick. I have pops from it except for sonya, kano and cole lol
That’s funny because I did think Red Notice was a mediocre action movie when I turned it on at 2 o’clock in the morning and I did indeed forget it existed afterwards

The horrible green screen scenes in Red Notice were they most memorable things about that movie for me. As for the Matrix I had very very low exceptions because I don't like any of them. But wife wanted to watch it because she loves the movies. Well I worked out of our own living room and she fell asleep twice.

After watching this, I went and watched the new resident evil... this movie is actually pretty good. It goes more with the original games than the first movies
A lot of my least favorites were ones just not made for me. Surprised ‘The Little Things’ didn’t make the cut, I think I remember more details of you complaining about that movie than actual details of the movie.

Matrix Ressurections definitely overhated, David Erlich’s written review for indiewire perfectly sums up why I loved it
I haven't seen any of these movies. The one I felt the most reluctance to see was "Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins", you see I've read last year "Classic G.I. Joe Volume 3", a collection of Larry Hama's "G.I. Joe" comics, which happened to include a couple important "Snake Eyes" centered storylines, one of which was his backstory. And looking at the trailers for the movie, it looked to continue the tradition of screwing with the license.
It's a decent film if it was another character. Calling it Snake Eyes when it was nothing like the comic hurt it.

Home Sweet Home Alone is WORST kids movie of 2021

I agree with this list, except for don't breathe. I'm not agreeing with his horrible actions in the first film, but he had someone taken from him, and in a sadistic way was righting a wrong. In the second film he was protecting someone he cared for and raised. He was being a father, not a hero.
And that was the point of the Matrix, to poke fun at what it had become.

Terrible movies usually have some kind of an underlying propaganda and the propaganda becomes seen through and becomes misunderstood as a projection of the real world. In the case of The Force Awakens, widely regarded as a terrible film legend has it that it was supposed to support a renaissance of feminism. Many felt like its director was projecting it thus onto the real world, when the fact is that The Force Awakens is a Star Wars film and such movies can never successfully utilize propaganda to make people change their behavior after watching the film. In that sense the director is thinking about more than one thing while filming, resulting in a flip flop. Thanks for your video! Warm regards from Ásgeir in Iceland.

The makers of Venom are total idiots for not making those films rated R. A total waste of Hardy's talent! Joker proved that a rated R comic book character is excellent.

I don't think venom and matrix were terrible movies. It's just a shame studios don't spend money on making a couple the Nice Guys type of movies.

They problem with Netflix movies is that they aren't made to last. They want people to watch them once and then move on to something else...disposable film. I have to disagree about Space Jam being terrible though. Of course it's not as good as the original, but I thought it was watchable.
...forgot to mention that "Thunder Force" was BY FAR, the worst movie I saw in 2021.
I'd add Eternals, Black Widow and Shang-Chi... God, Spiderman did save the Marvel movies

I have another one...tv series though...that we waited "10 FREAKING YEARS!!!!!!!!" for Tom Welling's Clark Kent to become Superman for less than 3 minutes/1 minute 10 seconds of actual screen time. More frustrating than the finale of them Sopranos and GOT combined!!!!!!

Glad we still have worst lists. These people need to be called out on their crap jobs, it may help to give us some actual GOOD movies. Can't even say there was much in the theaters this year I even cared about seeing. Back in the day there was at least 1 movie a month I'd be interested in.

I really didn't think Reminiscence was that bad. It wasn't amazing but everyone was crapping on the movie so maybe that lowered my expectations.
