    Thanks! Great review and I appreciate it. I did get a little lost at time on which paddle you were talking about but I figured it out by watching a couple times. Thanks so much. Very helpful.

    Personally i like the more plush feel of the current Vatic Pro than something like the Legacy Pro and Carbon 1x so I’m glad i got the current version. Nice review btw.

    Just got the FLASH from the February batch direct from Vatic. I also come from playing Gearbox using both the CX14E and CX11E. I weighted the 14 but like the feel of the 11 w/o lead. I;m trying to soften up my game and use shot accuracy over power to keep my tennis elbow from keeping me off the court. Just subed your channel and like your simple explanation of paddle technology.

    • @TickleMyPickleball
      @TickleMyPickleball  Před rokem +1

      Thanks for the support! Big reason I switched from the Gearbox was because of the shoulder pain it was causing me. I had to swing so much harder on put aways and especially at the kitchen where I'm reaching and can't rotate my body as much, I knew it was going to cause me some injuries.
      Ever since switching to the Vatic, I definitely feel more relief on my shoulder so glad you made the switch from the Gearbox. Hope you enjoy the Flash!

    Big difference in Joola technology and thermoforming. Joola doesn’t use thermoforming. They just inject foam in the outside of the core wall.

    • @TickleMyPickleball
      @TickleMyPickleball  Před rokem +1

      Yup! All the thermoformed paddles like Vatic, CRBN, Legacy, and Six-zero all have superior build quality to the Joola. I'm not an expert in how that technology works so I glossed over it only briefly in the video but when comparing the CRBN and Vatic to the CFS, the build quality is noticeably different

      Yup and Vatic Pro's change to a finer mesh weave on their carbon fiber is in response to Legacy's finer mesh as shown in PBSTUDIO'S review. Great time to be into PB paddles!

      But maybe the new core isn’t a good idea. The new weave I think is. But some people don’t like how fast the ball comes off the legacy. I think if they kept the same soft core and added new weave it would be ideal. I am almost tempted to buy the current one with older weave just because I feel like their new paddle is not going to hve the same soft feel for doubles. Thoughts?

    • @TickleMyPickleball
      @TickleMyPickleball  Před rokem

      @@thomasneumann1629 so personally I think between the Vatic and Crbn 1x, the latter does have a better crisp feel to it when the ball comes off the face. Although it does have slightly more power, I don't think it's uncontrollable; it's stable enough where you can develop good control for it. It's not a big difference between the two but it's definitely noticeable. This is just a guess on my end but I think that change in core will make it more similar to the Crbn1x rather than the legacy pro in terms of power.
      PickleballWill also made a good point on his review video, for the most part the high spin levels get to a certain point where it's only in some use cases where you'll actually notice the difference between 1700rpm vs 1900rpm and since I'm not a high level player I personally don't think I will really notice a difference between the tighter weave.
      My recommendation is to get the current batch now and see how it feels and if you don't like how it feels, you can return it within 30 days and the new batch should be out by then. You'll have to pay for the shipping for the return but it's a small price to pay for getting to test out a solid paddle. Personally I'm already a fan of the current batch and going to use it in my next tournament but I'll definitely post an update video once I get the new batch next month

    I have both paddles CRBN 1x and updated Vatic Pro. Yesterday when i played I switched back and forth and others demoed both paddles and most couldn’t tell a big difference. Like Tickle said the CRBN 1x feels a little crisper and the Vatic a little plusher. The CRBN is relatively head heavy but not as much as a Hyperion. When I put tungsten tape on top of Vatic it hit as powerful as the CRBN 1x. It did seem the CRBN spun more to the extent where drives drop hard with topspin. I do think the CF face is a little higher quality with the CRBN than Vatic. The difference is negligible with spin. I would say if money is not major factor get the CRBN if it is get the Vatic. PM me for more info on CRBN and Vatic. I’m stoked to try the 16mm Vatic Flash should be a Hyperion slayer.

      What's the main difference between the V7 and the Flash?

    • @scottfrancis13
      @scottfrancis13 Před rokem +1

      V7 is elongated shaped like an Invikta or CRBN 1x. Vatic is kinda a hybrid. Little shorter than V7 (16.5 to 16.2) little wider than V7 though. Flash shaped like a Joola Hyperion

      @TickleMyPickleball  Před rokem +2

      Unfortunately I have not, however PickleballWill is releasing a video on a comparison between SixZero, LegacyPro, Vatic, and Crbn soon. The PickleballStudio did mention that out of all the brands, the SixZero is the softest paddle out of all those brands listed above but also lightweight and just as quick as the 14mm Vatic. I believe the spin is also supposed to be comparable to the LegacyPro as well

    Hearing other popular reviewers saying they can't control the legacy for doubles play, has me wanting to get the vatic paddle for all around use. I hope the February changes don't alter that too much.

    • @TickleMyPickleball
      @TickleMyPickleball  Před rokem +3

      So they actually decided to keep the 16mm as is and will most likely just do cosmetic changes to that one. They won't change the core but tbd on the carbon fiber weave.
      But the 14mm Flash model is the one that will get the mentioned changes of a different core and weave pattern. This makes more sense to me since I personally think the current 14mm is too soft for my liking and I don't want to add too much lead tape to it to slow it down.
      They're targeting early February for preorders and shipment by the end of February. I definitely recommend the 16mm though, I personally like using it over the CRBN 1x for doubles because it swings a bit faster and the larger paddle face means more sweet spot. If that's the one you're interested in you don't need to wait till February to get one

      Thanks so much for that update! I was on the fence knowing that more drastic changes may happen. Think I’m going to pull the trigger. Also, I want to say that I appreciate your review a lot. After Pickleball Wills review of multiple thermoformed paddles, there is no other place to get good opinions. You do a great job.
      Lastly, and I know this isn’t an easy question, but in terms of power…how much difference would you guess the CRBN 1x vs the Vatic Pro V7 is there? Closer to like 5% difference? 20%? I won’t hold you to your answer. My concern is having the power I need. Which doesn’t have to be equivalent, but don’t want it too much different than the CRBN. Thanks in advance@@TickleMyPickleball

      Sorry to be a pain, but one more question…do you feel there is room enough for 2 hand back hands in your opinion?

    • @TickleMyPickleball
      @TickleMyPickleball  Před rokem +1

      @@braddaddis371 Thank you for the kind words! I think the power difference is closer to 5%, it's not too noticeable unless you play the two paddles side by side right after each other. Also it will depend on what paddle you are currently using, for me I had used the older crbn 16mm, gearbox cx14e, and Franklin signature so in comparison to those, both the Vatic Pro and Crbn power series had a much more responsive feel with more pop to it.
