I have watch the video and ,of course, you could be speaking a foreign language, but I heard that this procedure may need to be repeated again in a few years. Is this true?
Since the blood flow is ended to the prostate, how much 'rotting' or necrosis occurs with all that now dead tissue?
The prostate unfortunately doesn’t die , it can still get small amounts of blood from other smaller vessels
Can PAE successfully target large median lobes? History: UroLift 2 years ago (intact and working) . No improvement with UroLift. New Doc. discovered high bladder neck and large median lobe. prostate size 55g. Lobe is where all my issues are stemming from. Want to preserve current Sexual level. On daily coumadin ( heart valve). I've not had much luck finding out if a median lobe can be treated successfully with PAE. Closest IR who does PAE is Jacksonville FL, about 5 hours one way.

Are these coils you speak of made of metal, and if so, will that preclude future MRIs?
The coils are typically made of platinum and not an issue for MRI.

just had done at Johns Hopkins - covered my medicare… of all the BPH options, after five years of research did PAE. within three days sleeping better (getting up every 2 hours versus every 45 minutes) and number of times going during day has also decreased. Best decision I made - i am so thankful I found this procedure...
Rick, did you happen to have a Median Lobe?
@@rongierhart5686 there was a right and left prostate artery where they deposited the embolization pellets.
@@vingtsun1952 After a couple of more months, how are you doing relative to your prostate and symptoms? I have 150gram prostate with LUTS, am on finasteride which helps a little, and am researching procedures to dramatically improve my symptoms. Thank you
What if it totally plugsup and prostate dies will that cause you to die or lose your prostate how many patients had problems
