I'm on my second play-through right now because I wanted to try GMGOW difficulty and decided to go with a stun build. It's obviously much less safe than this build and definitely still requires a lot of skill, but in terms of fun, my stun build is unreal. I'm doing finishers on like 75% of enemies and drive up the stun bar on bosses super quickly. If you want to try it out and see if it's worth making a video about, let me know and i'll send over the build!

When it comes to Amulet, you guys can replace his #6 Celestial Panacea, #7 Poison Protector and #8 Bright eyed-Emblem for a set called Niflheim's to increase your damage output when you're above 75% of your health based on your def which is already amazing.
Also another set which I can not remember that increases your damage output when you are below 50% health. I combined both, used the Steinbjörn armor set and all the realm shift trigger handles. I was unstoppable.

This build is nuts. Really wish I could fight Gna again with this and see how much better it goes this time.
@@soserious5434 used all 3 parts of the chest piece he mentions for 1. all level 9. that and the shield that gives vitality and the attachment that gives an extra 63 defense and all the weapon pommels with what i think is the highest defense modifiers. the sun on that set is utterly insane. the centaur in the boss rush challenge in muspliheim hit me 2 times and stunned itself XD. and with the 75% rune set up obviously using the highest defense ones the more armor i have the more damage i deal. also i think i had around 300 strength as well which easily beats this guys damage. you can most likely use fury as the rage type since it heals you as you attack and you dont take damage during it. if i had to compare it to this build the sustainability is less due to less healing but the defense is off the charts. i also used the 3 jotenheim enchantments to give me even more rage bar and then also used the stavlheim ones to increase my stun damage depending on my defense. so each hit with my weapons caused massive chunks of stun to be added from basic attacks and thats not even adding onto if you make all the skills that can have stun boost have stun boost. you either do that or protection for even more stupidly massive defense. gna was while not tickling me hardly did much. and if you for example switch out the jotenheim enchantments with things like the one where you get soul steal from rage stones and heal stones you can also get healing from fury and that more or less rivaling this healing build somewhat.
Bro you are a LEGEND! This build took me from literally almost destroying my controller in berserker fights to being able to take them out with ease! Thank you so much! I’m not skilled at all in parrying or dodging so being able to take hits like a champ really helps.
Thank you for making this build! I had to clear the endgame before I finally got all of the items, but I finally created it! I still have the Berserker King and the Queen Valkyrie to deal with so I will be making use of this! I'm looking forward to hopefully being able to save these builds in the near future!
I had the Steinbjorn armor with even higher defense, but didn't have the constant health regeneration stuff. I wish I had known about this build before the words "FOR ASGARD!" were permanently seared into my nightmares like I was Greek era Kratos.

I have to admit that I was impressed with this armour because I have spent over 70 hours with the game, I have done all the quests and I have found everything there is to find, there is nothing left to do, the platinum shines beautifully so the only thing left to do is to slaughter the next wave in the arena and this armour is perfect, it makes a very difficult level very easy, well done mate, as you wrote /you can't die ;)
This build was great. I went from getting killed in 3-4 hits by King Berserker to just tanking everything. Way lower damage output, but that's the tradeoff. I did make a few changes since I only care about bosses. Replaced the status effect resistances and slotted in 3 pieces of Svartalgheim. Also wore the berserker belt for a bit more dps. I don't gave everything at level 9, but this put me at 501 defense and 179 vitality.
Is the trade-off in damage that noticeable? I haven't used his time stopping build, but from watching his videos and looking at the numbers, this build has a strength of 249 and the time stop build has a strength of 275. Does that 26 strength make a difference? If not, the extra 190 or so defense seems to be a worthwhile trade-off.
@@PrometheusD12 I wasn't comparing to one of his builds. That said, strength is not what makes a build do a lot of damage. You can build multipliers to be doing 5-10x more damage. This build is an extreme defense build. It gives up all offensive buffs to become nearly unkillable.
@@metzli5797 Oh okay, that makes sense. I've been playing this on Give Me No Mercy, so I prefer the builds that keep me alive like this one. If I were to play this game again, like when it comes to pc, I would probably play on Give Me a Balanced Experience and use a damage build. Are there any videos or guides for one?
@@PrometheusD12 probably. Before this I was playing with the set that poisons with shield hits. It did crazy damage compared to this build, but had weak defenses.

One thing that annoys me is that you can't fast travel just by going to the map and picking one of those portal locations. You literally have to go to it and activate where you want to go which makes backtracking after you complete the game a pain.

Hey it’s an improvement from the last one, where you couldn’t even travel to the other realm doors besides back to brok and sindris shop or the spawn door when you’re not in Midgard
Not when you beat the game and get the ravens, you'll get seeds to open undiscovered mystic gateways

@Running Sparrow you don't need to get all the ravens just go back to sindri's house end game and Ratatosk gives the pouch of yggdrasil seeds

Thanks for posting this, used a similar build, mainly swapping Valor for Fury and its corresponding enchantment, to finally defeat Valkyrie Queen Gna. And will probably use it to defeat the Berserker King as well
The unstoppable aura relic is a very good safety net for keeping you alive in a battle, but when I am playing more offensively, I use the one (I can't remember it's name) that sacrifices health to deal damage since this build makes you tanky and have self healing, so that lost health won't be gone for long.
Thanks to this build finished Gna and king something. Just changed the light and heavy attacks to more single target oriented ones.
Awesome build my freind all I can say is thank you I really do feel like Kratos now as as long as I play aggressively im literally unbeatable my health bar never goes below half I beat both the berserker king and Gna first try with this build and destroyed them both and all the challenges of Muspulheim are legit a walk in the park!
Just wanted to send a thank you your way. It took a bit of tweaking, and I still had to memorize movement patterns, but your work on this build allowed me to secure the platinum. I feel the balance in this game is a bit wonky regarding difficulty and damage dealt/taken, but gear setup makes a huge difference and with this build and a little bit of skill/practice I was able to faceroll my way through it. there's an item (axe pommel maybe) that makes you heal with every hit with the axe, as long as your permafrost is full, but you also take more damage. There are items that increase the rate at which you build permafrost, so maybe that's a viable build as well. I personally pefer last second dodge/parry glass cannon
I tried to use that but it lowered my stats so I couldn't use some of the enchantments. But there's definitely some room to plug and play around.

When you get to hellhiem as kratos in the main story then you have to close a rift by a spell and once you do that you get the ace promel.😀
Same. For glass cannon you can get moderate to great defense as well and still have almost max strength.
I dont know if you'll ever see this, But I just wanted to thank you. Thanks to this build I was finally able to take down both the Berserker King and the Valkyrie Queen bosses and earn the Platinum. I also managed to do both without using a resurrection stone. Thank you.

Afyer 2 days and around 5 hours of fighting the beserker king, this build helped me to finish him off. I didnt even need a res stone on my succesful try. Thank you!
Absolutely love this build man. Made a few little changes to it myself with the amulet enchantments and something else so I can use the seal of runic storm alongside this build because I absolutely love that enchantment. Great job though man
I did a similar build. I doubled up on the the surtr arms and girdle and I used the spear grip that gives you a burst of rage on a finisher. Then I used the Niflheim and Svartalfheim enchantment sets to get more damage and stun based on my defense. Then I use the shield item that gives CDR on a parry which with everything feels like a no compromise build. You're as tanky as can be you have lots of damage tons of healing and you've got enough cooldown you can dump your load when you need it.
@Noob7Zilla Yeah it's dope. Most enemies on give me no mercy end up finishable after I afflict them with sonic and one Achilles spear leap attack. Who needs crazy dps when you can essentially one bang nearly every trash enemy and then save everything else for the bigger guys.
@Noob7Zilla you'd have to have something on the swords or another piece of gear. I've tried it countless times as it was nearly my entire playthrough and only when I had the spear did it count.
I've been using the Niðavellir Armor that makes stun never decrease and health boost on stun grabs. And a mod for the blades that deals greatly increased stun on the L2+R1 attack (which also makes you basically invisible once the blade hits and the animation starts)
Most enemies get full stun from 1 or 2 attacks (and most stagger after each attack)
Just repeat until you can stun grab and repeat. Not as fancy as this and a bit repetitive but so far pretty effective 😊

@@KRYMauL thats one piece of armor. I used it to endgame and it worked just fine with the rest of what I used. High dps, mid to great defense with health on each grab. Perfect for swarms,bosses and challenges.
@@Dravianpn02 Ngl, I imagine it feels really good, but it’s more of a stun build than my preferred destroy the world play style. After a while I started thinking too much about getting health that way.

Looks like the build i try e.g for the spear i use the one that give you rage after a R3 kill because it have 40 def and 29 hp + you need rage anyway so it fits realy good

-Eir's armament
-Poison protector
-Bright eyed emeblem
Are the enchantmens i dont have in my set, i use 3 nilfheim or 3 svartalheim because it increase your def and other statts even more and with THAT much def both skills are just perfect also because you get more statts you CAN switch some small things if you want

Just beat gna with this build on give me no mercy build...i had tried all other builds earlier but was not able to defeat gna....it truly makes kratos nearly invincible

THANK YOU!! I struggled and I struggled. And I struggled some more against Gna and The Berseker King. Tried your build. Beat Gna on the second attempt. Still was a close one for me since I didn't quite have everything maxed. Then worked on maxing the rest before going back to King Hrolf. Kicked his ass badly on the first attempt. Now I just have the crucible left and got the platinum

You could just use the one where you roll twice to get rid of all status effects and that allows you 3 slots for a set

You can buy/craft some enchantments at the smiths shops

Try the svartalfheim set of enchantments, you'll melt through enemies with this build bc it's based on your defense

OUTSTANDING suggestion, dude! I really like this health build, but I was still getting wasted by the Berserker King and Gna. I would get close every now and then, but couldn't kill them. I switched out a couple of the health enchantments with just 3 of the Svartleheim set and I was able to defeat the King in the next fight! It is amazing how much of a difference is when you make Kratos just a little bit more stronger while still giving him a lot of health enchantments!
Just wanna give a shout out to you! This build is by far my favorite to use, it just feels so strong and makes me really feel like the god of war! Just and indestructible rampage from start to finish!

One thing I would add to this, the niflheim enchantments, increase damage based on your defense while above 75% health, I have 550 defense with a similar build and it does sooo much damage, on top of always healing and being above that 75%
What would you take out for that?
@@MrAGNB2 I would probably take out the one that gives you life steal after using health and rage stones, you already have so much, eirs armament its health burst on runic kills, how often are you going to be getting the final hit with a runic attack, and the one that resists to the blinding effects because those arent that common either, I think the trade off for tons more damage would be worth it
Doesn't that damage only increase melee tho no weapon damage? As in off hand no weapons being used.
@@nanobigboss5802 no it works for all, Im almost one shotting drauger with blades and axe, I have abt 550 defense, melee means close range, so no throws or anything deal the extra but up close it does

So I gave this build a shot and I can say that I found the perfect build that suits my play style.. So far I only have the stein armor and raven bracers (still working on surtrs) but the results that I'm getting so far are impressive... I will just adjust the amulets according to my play style.

Top 10 bosses will kill you easily, they got so hard and you can't regenerate faster than they cup away your life in 3 or 4 hits

Thank you so much, I'm returning to the game after months of not playing to get into NG+. I was never able to beat Gna or the berserker king. Just downed the king without using a rune stone. The fight lasted quite a bit longer because I wasn't constantly trying to poison him, but thanks again for the build. On to Gna
I’ve killed the Valkyrie Queen Gna and The King using the armor from Trolls mixed with realm shifting constant healing in general and healing on attacks I can never get below 85% of my health lol.

Wow! THIS build made Gna almost as easy as other enemies. A bit longer to defeat because of the lack of attack power, but so much easier because you can now take so many hits. Definitely recommended!!

This is by far my favorite build. I'm currently using a build like this but with a few tweaks. Defense is very important in this game especially with how kratos takes damage

I run a poison melee build, with lunda armor set ( I may have butchered the name) it melt bosses once the poison meter fill on the enemy… I’ll try your build out. Thank you for the video
This is a great build! It took me two tries to beat the Berserker King. You can actually block / parry a LOT of his incoming attacks with this build. Takes about 10 or so minutes to chip him down.

oh man this helped me finally beat the triple berserkers..I didn't have the surtur's girdle so just went with the raven tears waist armor abs just added some vitality increasing amulets.. good stuff!

This is my New Game Plus build and so far, i havent come close to dying. Havent tried it on Hrolf or Gna yet, but I will when I get to that point. I was able to beat Gna and Hrolf in my original game with the Lunda poison build. Hrolf only took 2 tries but I fought Gna about 15 times before I rinally took her down. Hope this build does it quicker.
One thing is that I changed a lot from the build you are showing in this video.. I adjusted the equipment to get me to 400 strength so I still have some kick to my hits. I still have 170 vitality so I still get to take advantage of Greater Regenerating Essence, Regenerating Essence, and Crest of Desperate Heroics.
Finally beat berserker king after about 40 tries when I switch to this build. Much appreciated!!

Maybe a wee note worth keeping in mind is the armour for the waist only drops if u complete the challenges in a particular order. Saves a lot of frustration if people know this

I've been using a similar armor set up with the Nidevalir shoulder/chest armor that grants a health burst on stun grabs and using a lot of stun-focused skills. Great against swarms of enemies. I'll need to go grab this as it seems like the natural progression. More effective in boss encounters for sure.
In New Game+, I use the Nidavalir relic on the Steinbjorn set so I get the perks of the Steinbjorn armor and still recover health when stun grabbing enemies.
