Best thing anyone can do to improve their road riding skills is ride a bike off road, I used to do trail riding years ago, and it saved my life over 20 years later when instinct kicked in. 👍
I realize that the open face helmets give you a wider and lower field of view (needed in advanced trials riding). But the newbs should be wearing full faced helmets.... Face plants happen even on "electric" bikes. Especially with newbs. Funny how hard he has to sell the electric bikes. On a gas motor your getting more control over torque and speed when using the throttle and clutch. On electric bikes you change speed with the throttle but rear wheel torque is always the same. Whether at 5 mph or 25 mph.... In trials riding torque is the name of the game. Now this motorcycle ranch is ideal for someone just learning but sadly you wont learn how to feather the clutch and throttle for torque control. I do believe the resistance lever is a good idea to mimic engine drag. Interesting. Purely psychological but I miss the motor sound. It made things exciting.
It's true, the choice between open face and full-faced helmets often depends on the riding style and experience level. Electric bikes have their advantages, but some riders do miss the distinct sounds and nuanced control of gas motors, especially in trials riding where torque plays a crucial role. The resistance lever as a psychological tool to mimic engine drag is an interesting approach for skill development.
Looked like real fun, off road is always a challenge, both did well and looked to have a great time, also looked like a brilliant facility. Noticed name of channel changed ,,,, will you be doing a video explaining that 🤔 Keep up the great work 👍
Many thanks Martin. Definitely a challenge but super fun. The se upt there is perfect and I can’t wait to go back to advance on what I’ve learnt. I’ve also been debating a channel name change for a while and want to bring more to the channel but still have the same Ducati content. Il pop a video on soon. Thanks you for the comment. 👍
I know you can take your own petrol bike and ride it. As for the hire I’m not sure we just had a electric one. I would definitely say try a electric one if you’ve not before.
@@thatbikersimon I don't think I could tbh. Years of riding petrol trials bikes when I was younger. There's something missing with an electric. Not for me.
@@ravey1981 I totally agree I was like that intill I tried one, don’t get me wrong I won’t be buying one as yet, but for a day out as an experience the torque excellent on these little bikes.
Hi, it’s really depends if you need to hire a bike or need instruction. They’ve got a really good website, it’s based in Lancashire. inchperfecttrials.co.uk/
This video is great; I’m going on Thursday and it’s great to get a heads up on what to expect!
Thanks for the comment.. you’ll absolutely love it. Glad you enjoyed the video 👍
That looks brilliant Simon, I must book that for me and a few mates. Looks a right laugh. Cheers 👍
It’s a cracking day Mick, you’ll not be disappointed and it’s a winter one so it don’t matter if it rains. 👍

Is electric bikes the only option now? Been years ago when electric bikes were only just coming in and they had a fleet of beta and montesa

Was this the all day beginners course ?
Hi, yes it was. A great experience if you want a introduction into this type of riding.
Really want to go as recently got into Trials. Any info on location and prices
