A high point here is the presence of John Helliwell, the original sax player from the band, playing his legendary saxophone parts. And he also brought the whistle!

I have to admit I'm very surprised. I didn't even expect Tarja to sing this song so well. She doesn't always sing so perfectly at her concerts. This woman is both fire and ice. Sometimes it seems that her singing is not so good, but next time she sings perfectly.
Tarja ALWAYS sings perfectly in her concerts.In a concert a singer tries other techniques for example out of the tempo, a free style, not vibrato, sometimes not even singing but tellin the song like a poem.Tarja uses a wild and heavy chest voice in lives sometimes and other ways of singing to.BUT it does n t mean she can not sing perfectly! She can do everything she wants with her voice!

@@alexandra-md5he I'm not saying that Tarja can't sing or can't hit notes. But she often, very abruptly changes her vocal technique in course of a song, going from head vocal to chest vocal and I can hear dissonance at that moment. But, for example, during classical performances she always sings perfectly.
@@alexr8817 in a classical singing you always hear the same way singing.In a live concert she does every change she wants.It s her choice ! The same you can find in Dimash who is an opera singer but he changes his voice a lot of times during a song from the chest to the head voice, from pop to the classical voice etc.Its not bad!
I love her, but I also think she doesn't always sing perfectly. I think that almost no one sings perfectly on all occasions. And considering that she sings almost 100 concerts a year, it would be a superhuman performance. The question is, is it her choice or does she sometimes fail. But I always enjoy her concerts. I don't need her to be perfect all the time to love and appreciate her. I like her in her imperfection.
Actually to catergorize this as playing with Supertramp is misleading, yes there is one member who joined Supertramp's 3rd incarnation and the son of the 3rd incarnation drummer and yes he himself has toured with ST but the main songwriters for the band are not in this performance. Still always great to see JAH and JS performing. I've never heard of the woman doing the vocals.
