- It finally arrived, and we got it on the water - the Dagger Code. This boat has been in development for a while and has been highly anticipated for 2021. We had doubts that we would see one this year, but eventually, we got some, and Zack kept one for himself. He took it down the Lower Madawaska river to get a feel for how it performs in current, and now he gives his thoughts and review on the Dagger Code.

Awesome walkthrough. Molded drainage around the cockpit can act as a hinge point if the boat is wrapped that’s why a lot of manufacturers are moving away from that design.
This. ☝🏼 I’ve heard even repetitive stern tapping can weaken plastic at those drain slots. Seems to be going away w most manufacturers.
Thanks Hugh and Kevin. That's some valuable insight!
I love mine... this boat is next level..it bombs through everything
Thanks for your input. I hope to collect mine within the next two weeks and everything you say here shows it is the right one for me. Super excited now. It's been a long wait.
Great review! I’m hoping to try one of these soon. I own a rewind and it’s by far my favorite half slice and I’ve paddle just about all of them
Thanks! The Rewind is a very fun half slice!
This is a good solid review , thx
No problem 👍 Thanks for watching!
Good review, I’m of the belief the Code is closer to the Phantom than the Mamba, the medium is very similar ( I own both) , whatever, it’s a great river runner, responsive and stable
It definitely has some Phantom features! It's great to hear your feedback, given your experience with both. Thanks!
Thanks for the review Zack. Do you think you’ll have any Medium demos for next year?
Nice review. Very thorough. Do you know what brand those folding stands are?
Thanks Kevin. Those stands are from Malone, we carry them as well. We have been using ours almost daily for a couple years now without any issues.
