Hi there, I use DNA filter for my Vulcan S but I wish I could watch this instruction before cleaning my filter. I put too much oil (top of the mountains and valleys for both side 😓) and now my bike backfires a lot. Do you think this backfiring issue ends in time or I should clean and re-apply oil as instructed?
have there been any tests done on filtering efficiency after cleaning? Would be interesting to see as all tests for filtering efficiency are done on filters untouched by a brush lol.

This is pretty straight forward for a flat filter, but what about something more difficult like a cylindrical filter that pulls air from the inside out? (Like your Royal Enfield filters) How do you get inside that tiny opening and clean out everything?
Hello Motorings, concerning the cylindrical air filters the concept will be the same. Our suggestion is to use running water from the outside of the air filter and thoroughly flush it down. Unfortunately it will be a bit more difficult but we do not believe you will have any issues.
Are you guys gonna make a stage 3 for a Hysky 701/KTM 690 ? Right now only rottweilerperformance makes one but i don't want to order all the way from the US
Hello, unfortunately it is not in our plans to make a Stage 3 for 701. We have a very good replacement filter and Stage 2 application for this model and we dont believe a Stage 3 will offer so much more.

Same concept. You should clean it with running water from the clean side towards the dirty side. Concerning the brushing it may be a bit difficult because you should clean the inside of the filter but it can be done. Please note that you should always use our service kits for cleaning our products.

Just forked out over £40 for a filter for motorcycle, only to find out now I need another £20 for a bloody cleaning kit. Thanks for telling us that first DNA. Anyone got any bright ideas they can be done with easily available product that isn’t going to empty your pocket?
Hello Johny, thank you for your purchase. Please note that when you buy a new filter is ready to be installed. You will need the service kit after 13-15,000 kms depending on the use. As our products are washable , you need our cleaner and oil to service the product and re-use it. Also please note that depending on the filter the service kit can last from 3 to 10 times servicing your filter. We are sorry that you didn't know about this but we state it almost everywhere we can. Hello Hugo, depends on the bike, the filter model and the conditions you will use the filter. But most of the time for normal applications of replacement filters you will see a slight decrease in fuel consumption.

Hello Hamza, unfortunately no. if you blow dry the air filter you will destroy the cotton and you wont achieve the 98-99% filtering efficiency we offer.
Have you cleaned them from the release agent they have from the factory? If you fit them correctly, not overtight them and clean them from the release agent they wont pop off. Unfortunately the competition is using cheap chinese materials that dont need a release agent for demoulding and as a result the quality and dimensions are not ok and the DNA level. No there is no need for a remap! KTM ECU will automatically do the job for you.

i have a question? Why are there small holes on the filter when you it through the light you can see small holes in a millimeter?
That’s why oiling properly is important, it’s surely to help with airflow
So if you bought a brand new one and out of the box can you just slap it right in the bike or do you have to do anything?
Just put it in your bike and ride thats it brother its new. After maybe 10.000 km check if its dirty clean it and re-use it thats it

Either side will be fine. The oil will be absorbed from the cotton and will distribute everywhere.

The cleaner is not of red colour, now it is coming in blue colour, is it true.

He forgot about greasing the rubber edges
This specific filter doesn't have an EVA seal so there is no need for grease. We only supply grease on the off-road products with EVA foam seal.
