      @@s33therfan believe it or not it was the coil I had a zz performance coil on the car and I thought no way it could be that? Turns out it was the coil I put my stock coil back in and I'm sending the ZZ one back under 2-year warranty so the sucker went out in less than 2 years and with only about maybe 25,000 miles

    I'm getting this on my 2018 1.8l chevy sonic with only 21000 miles. I had filled up with 2.2 gal of bad gas 12 days ago. I purged the system of this gas but ever since then I'm getting this pending code p0301 sporadically. I pulled the plug and it looked fine to me so now I'm now thinking the bad gas messed up that one injector?

    • @s33therfan
      @s33therfan  Před 3 lety +1

      I wouldn't think so , it may just need to have some injector cleaner ran through. Worse case it may need to be taken out and cleaned. I really haven't came across this problem from bad gas . It could also be the bad gas issue caused another problem to rear its head. I would check everything from plugs to coils while you're at it. Hope you get it solved . Thanks for watching.

  • @rob7439
    @rob7439 Před 2 lety

    Im hoping this is my problem. I've just replaced the turbo, the oil and coolant lines on the turbo, the thermostat, the valve cover, the v3.4 pcv fix, new spark plugs, new battery, and new coil pack. I had no check engine light finally then after some light aggressive driving noticed it would sputter at 3500-4000 rpm and the check engine light would flash but go away, now its on and stays on with code P0300 random multiple misfires. So sad after putting $1300 worth of parts into it. There are still plenty of issues that can cause a misfire I don't know what else to do.

    • @s33therfan
      @s33therfan  Před 2 lety +2

      Yes , replacing this 7 pin connector may be your issue as well. I have another video where I replaced the entire harness to fix my issue. Thanks for watching.

    Hey I’m having issues I have a 2016 Chevy Cruze limited 1.4 . I got an oil change and tire rotation last Tuesday , the same day , my traction control and stabilitrak lights came on and check engine light started blinking , my fuel level is depriving. before all this I would fill up and get almost 400 Miles now my tank says full at 280 miles , I changed ignition coil pack bc cylinder one keeps coming back misfiring even after coil pack was changed it’s running very rough

    • @s33therfan
      @s33therfan  Před 2 lety +1

      The traction control warning is definitely related to the tire rotation if it was fine before. The other more immediate issue with the missfire., needs to be addressed. I have seen 2 of these cars recent with either coil pack 7 pin plug issue or harness issue. I would start with the 7 pin coil plug replacement they are notorious to cause this. Replacement requires soldering in a new one which is not hard but tedious and time consuming. Here is link to the 7 pin plug.

      @@s33therfan hey ok so I check all of this: the wheel speed sensors was ok , I changed the battery(from a friend car) to see if that was the problem : I checked fuel pressure , I have no coil pack , no damage to either of plugs , I had my throttle body cleaned , I just the lil spray air machine to check for vaccum leak ,(NONE) but I do hear a hissing noise (like a air machine for tires) , my fuel injectors are good , I change my coolant tank cause it did have a small whole at the bottom . I also checked my fuel tank , no hole , no oil leaks under the car or in any parts my oil is good , all the wires are plugged in , I have a new mass air flow sensor . All the fuses are good I checked the wires on pcm it’s good , my valve cover is good (it doesn’t suck in air& there’s no sign of oil or leaks around it , I even tried to find a way to reset , I drove with out it coming on but when you switch the car off and back on the stabili and traction light both come on with flashing engine light , i don’t know what to do atp , the codes I’m getting p0301 P2301 & occasionally P0599 , it keeps saying misfire it 1 & thermostat pressure , idk what to do atp

    • @s33therfan
      @s33therfan  Před rokem +1

      Yes , do one at a time starting from left to right or other etc. If it is an aftermarket make absolute sure the connector locks on to the coil pack properly before soldering it on. Thanks for the feedback.

      Try replacing this next . Sounds like no spark. If this doesn't work , you may have to replace the harness. The service stabilizer does not affect the engines missfire , entirely seperate issue. Hope this helps.
