This is listed as Antigua, but Tortola is its own BVI, so I need clarity please. Can you please tell me if this is Antigua or Tortola, please?

fucking joke...our gov have sent in the marines to help these poor unfortunate rich tax exiles who don't pay tax to our system . lets hope we can salvage all their precious yachts and safety deposit boxes .

Yes, there are lots of tourists and rich ex-pats on Tortola. I'm not denying that there are incredibly wealthy people who take advantage of the tax system. Most of those people don't live there all year, as they have various properties and can afford to flee hurricane season. That's a luxury many can't afford. There are lots of very poor people there who've lost absolutely everything.
I know small business owners, teachers, nurses, & service industry workers who live there. They are far from wealthy.
They are human beings in crisis.
Pharmacies, grocery stores, & banks, are gone & probably the hospital (that's not confirmed). They've no mains power & limited fuel for generators.
Our armed forces always provide disaster relief when needed. It's not just UK citizens and it's not means tested.

and to those of whom you mention ,except the banks , my sympathies and well wishes in this time of crises . but to those who the navy have been sent to rescue(rich tax exiles), the sentiment remains the same . and if or when the news reports show locals being rescued ,they will be no more than a show to cover the real rescue op .
