What a beautiful place. Of course as is true with most countries like Haiti, these beautiful images must hide the truth of the poorer working and peasant classes that lived in terrible conditions. But still, it's nice to indulge in the beauty of what the main cities looked like before... well before now. I am not a Haitian, I am Central American, but I like to learn about different places like Haiti. And I want any Haitian who reads this to know that I do not look at your country and think of the crime and disasters, which I am not blind enough to say are not problems, instead I see a proud and hard working people with a rich and interesting culture who I deeply hope will see a better future.
I'm from El Salvador and I had the honor to visit Haiti. I can't wait to return one day BECAUSE I LOVED every moment. The people are beautiful , the goat delicious and my favorite music to dance to in the world is the Kompa. VIVA HAITI!!!

Haiti (before Duvalier) was not a bad place-the people were not terribly poor. Duvalier and his son were a curse.
Aristide is the cursed, he destroyed Haiti, during the Duvalier , Haiti was beautiful.
