- When M.A.D. develops a plot to clone and replace the world leaders, Penny is caught in the middle when she discovers an evil clone of Gadget is loose in the streets of Paris. Can Penny and the Gadgetinis save the world? Or will Dr. Claw finally succeed?

Gadget Clone has to say "Go Go Gadget _Clone_ [gadget]" to activate his gadgets, which would be a distinct disadvantage of timing and convenience if his opponent was equally competent. Instead, his uncreativity is his main setback, causing him to continually try to up himself on intimidation and brute force.
Oh wow, the remake to the first live-action Inspector Gadget movie looks great so far.
My personal headcanon is gadget is secretly pretending to be stupid infront of everyone even penny so they don’t suspect a thing of his true genius. So gadget is just f$cking with his clone by acting silly on purpose.

I like the idea too. And there's nowhere in the series implying if he's doing it on purpose or really is stupid. So headcanons are open to everyone.
From watching this I can deduce that Inspector Gadget is as much of a human being as his Gadgetinis...
I don't know about you guys but I like penny's art style here. She looks cool. Sure the original first show of inspector gadget Penny looks cute and all but penny looks great here too. 😁

Inspector gadget will be 40 years old in 2023 since 1983 it debuted in 1982 pilot episode but the actual series began in 1983 it's the best cartoon ever so Classic and timeless

Van Oskuro Actually, if you watch the original show there’s evidence to suggest that Gadget is pretending to be stupid. He very well could be outsmarting the clone in his own special way.

Incidentally, the Perfect School book by RL Stine had the 'perfect students' as robots in the books and clones in the Goosebumps two-parter because of budgetary constraints. In addition, the Perfect School was originally French like the cartoon.

Talon was only introduced in the 2015 Inspector Gadget series, while this series came out in 2002.

Because Haim Saban owned the legal rights to it. Luckily, the current owners of Gadget gained the rights to the beloved theme song, so if there's ever a new Gadget cartoon, we'll probably have the old song back. Also, the theme of the French version of this show sounds closer to the original song.
