Thank you so much for a great showcase and overview of my tank Marc!! You highlighted everything, even things I’d probably overlook or forget to mention.
I imagine there are still so many little nuances that went into this it would be impossible to cover them all unless u were actually filming and documenting it as u did it! Such a beautiful tank! Well done!
What a perfect example of an overly ridiculous crazy use of FOTD products, yet the perfect execution totally offsets it lol. Really well done!
Eric's tank has been an inspiration for many years now, and it keeps getting better!
Awesome video :) Thank you so much for sharing this. This tank and system is immaculate! I'm not keeping any reef tanks at the moment and never have but I do want to do something like this one day.
This reef is gorgeous. Thanks for sharing it with us Marc!
Beautiful tank! Thanks for showing it to us Marc.
I absolutely LOVE seeing the gear under the tank. Super clean setup in this case!
Beatiful Reef, Lucky you got to see it in person. Nice Work
Beautiful tank. Very well maintained and well thought out.
Great video and walkthrough Marc. Thanks.
Wow, just shows that no matter the space a sweet reef is always possible!!
Very nice set up. Thanks Mark for the video and to the tank's owner for sharing.
Amazing little tank, so much packed into the entire set up
Genius level sump management 🙌🙌🙌
Impeccable and absolutely perfect 👏👏👏
This tank, the build tech, and the layout is pretty much the pinnacle of the reef as art. It looks spotless!
I love how there are no circulation pumps. No cables visible in or behind the tank, nothing. I probably would have used a somewhat wider tank front to back, but that might affect waterflow. I also love the tablet next to his computer and the superclean plumbing. Thank you for sharing, Melev.
Wow thanks for sharing this stunning tank with us! It’s absolutely beautiful, and bravo on the plumbing and wire management! The attention to detail and level of planning that went into this really paid off. I’ve never thought about a nano tank before, but love the look and design of this one...you may have changed my mind!
Gallon for gallon, one of the best setups I’ve ever seen. Just incredible! 👍👍
For those wondering, those dimensions (36x9x8) mean its a 11.22 gallon tank filled to the brim. Let's all honor a guy keeping a flame wrasse, purple masked angelfish, and midas blenny in a tank that small.
I love the super overbuilt nanos, great work!
I have no words for this ...except it is gorgeous.😊
This tank is the inspiration for my 12g long and it’s my favorite reef tank out there
I have always liked this tank. Over flows/returns are great
Lord... I remember when he started that tank. He was working on some cartoon at his work and the office where he worked looked so insane. Love that tank reason why I want a small gallon tank but not long
Thats one immaculate non sloppy tank. Thanks for showing! :-)
Great idea with the tank showcase!
Absolutely beautiful
Really nice job. 💥. Love it
I've always liked his tank, neat aesthetic.
That tank is immaculate wow!
Beautiful tank!
One word! Beautiful.
Wow, this really is beautiful and efficient.
Wow very cool, thanks for sharing 👍👍
AMAZING, AMAZING, Oregon Tort by far has always been my favorite acro. A watermelon chalice would be a nice addition to your reef.
It is gorgeous!
Stunning!
Eric's tank is awesome. It inspired me to get the same tank to plumb into my 450g system back in 2013. Originally I wanted to turn it into a tridacna clam filter but Tridacna Maximas just aren't kind to me. I do have T. gigas, squamosa, 3 derasas, crocea, and hippopus doing well in the system adjacent to it.
So beautiful!
Ok that was a really fun tank, tiny tank but it doesn't feel terribly tiny. I did have the laugh about not being able to keep a torch because it could sting things yet there's a bubble tip anemone sitting in there, always infamous "nah it doesn't move" until it does :D
That is the most equipment I’ve ever seen on a tank that small. 13/G? Wow! Well done! Man are you gonna feel amazing when you upgrade to 24” depth one day. 🙂 Thinking about cleaning the glass and moving rocks in that tank hurts my head.
Gorgeous!!!
Beautiful tank , I hope your holding up and doing well .
Hi.... Congratulations... great project... from planning to executing !
Great video,keep it up!🐋
Wow this is stunning :O
Saved, ready to copy one day
WOW! I always think giant tanks are amazing but when I see people with these nano tanks that are so gorgeous and clean I think it takes much more skill to pull of these kinds of results with only 12 gallons to work with 👏🏼
What a perfect little reef
Beautiful..
Wow!! What an inspiration!
Thanks Remy. Love your channel
Beautiful xxx
Very beautiful
WOW! very cool.
Awesome-Awesome!!!!
Beautiful tank and setup. Hard to believe it's only 12g given the length of the tank. That Trident/Apex system is so nice but my lord the cost.
Amazing!
Wow very cool 😎
Flawless
Wow all that for a 12 gallon! That is legit crazy!
impressive!
One word... WOW!!!!
This guy is a master reefer... I’m very impressed. I would like to see what this guy could do on a larger setup.
Awww thank you!! I still don’t consider myself a master reefer when I compare myself to the amazing 100-500g tanks I see on forums or CZcams but I’ve found a cool niche trying to create the greatest nano tank I can and want to keep improving. If our family ever moves to a larger house with more space for a dedicated tank I may try something in the hundred+ gallon range.
Perfect!
I want a similar tank if I ever upgrade. I really like the length but a little wider, height is okay. I don't think I want the complexity of a mixed tank that he has but a softie or lps and macroalgae tank. Beautiful tank though and I am surprise he has kept it nicely as he has.
AMAZING tank, thanks for sharing :)! Do you know what material was used to partially cover the drain screen to make it a trickle over? One of the biggest challenges in the hobby is making sure stuff that we use is reef safe.
Orson Welles...hands clapping 👏
Wow the sump.. it's like an oscorp, avengers tech lab 🙀
Just wow.
I was wondering how much a tank like that cost ?
Looks great and like artwork, and that's what it's meant to be, artwork and not fishkeeping. That's why you need several $$$K to run a 12g.
I love it, so beautifully done. but why so much tech esp if he's not lazy?
I've got a six foot version of this but 2 feet tall 8 inch deep
If I ever built a more permanent tank in a future house that was my goal! Same proportions just double or triple everything to keep the panoramic look.
I believe the updated video has a different light 😉
Shhhhh ;)
I have this too but different configuration
You can keep a wrasse in a 13gal?
how do you guys keep your sump so clean like it’s not even being used?
By the way I noticed the cute Midas Blenny and was wondering how can he keep it in the tank with no cover? Everyone always advises that a cover is a must with a Midas.
It has a cover
Ah I wrote a comment about no lid but sure enough there is one - you would given the Bitcoin wrasse in here!
good placement on the corals. Not a frag plug in sight
Hey Marc!
State of the art
I wonder what the overall cost was for this tank
Eye candy....and im not just talking display tank
👏👏🐠🐠🐠
How can you keep all those fish in such a small tank?
what sand is that ?
I wish I had money to get that gear fit my 20 gallon
about $500/gallon by my estimate... would love to see it when it grows in
There’s a link to his thread in the description.
I live in Dallas, who do you think is the best store? And why?
There are quite a few, I recommend just exploring and decide for yourself. The ReefTrace Live app shows all the LFS in a 45 mile radius.
Neat, but in a year it will be too small for corals about an inch from the surface
You can see my latest video to see what happened from 2019 (when Marc recorded this video) to how it looked a few weeks ago. Yes there are now corals touching the surface and have double or tripled in size but I try to maintain a bonsai approach where I prune them back to maintain a similar shape once anything reaches about baseball size.
I hope you listened to how he’s been running it for *years*. And he commented to you as well. Did you watch his video yet? It’s linked in the description.
What is the name of a rabbi that hides in a hole?
What tank is this ?
Mr Aqua 12g long (Sometimes referred to as a bookshelf aquarium)
Laguna+ mangrove?
What's the height of your reef tank ?
I believe the dimensions were given in the video.
bet you were great in science class
feels a tad overstocked on the fish. They look a bit cramped
This aquarium inspired my one, you can see my video. I recommend max spect or zetlight for silent no fans
Lets see an update!
@@dustinnoonan3806 shut down and moved to aquascaping competitions for awhile and now setting up a new 4ft reef, one day I'll make more content but not now
Oops, I wanted to know the measurements of the aquarium?
Check the build thread linked in the video’s description
Is there a filter?
Watch more of the video and you'll see it.
fish are running scared tho
