I feel exactly the same Holly. It is horrendous and I cannot believe that humans think it is ok to inflict this on other people, families and children.
On certain people it would be unthinkable and there would be global condemnation. But Palestinians are consistently dehumanised. And it is up to the people of the world (who I am thankful to see have been rising up everywhere) to be in solidarity with them, uphold their humanity and their right to live without occupation. I hope you look after yourself, it's hard to hold this tragedy in our hearts xxx

It was horrific, and yet more horrors have happened since. Every day appears to be the new worst day. Crying is good I think, we have to process the emotions coming up when we witness so much death. Take care of yourself, lots of love x

Thank you for sharing all that you do Holly, I have found a lot of people and organisations to follow and support through your instagram stories. I am also devastated by what is happening before our eyes - while both main party leaders here and in the US seem to be under some sort of weird spell making them blind to the horror! It’s bewildering.

‘Free world’ leaders are under no spell. The terrible reality to be borne in mind is that what we see in Gaza today is by no means worse, horrifying as it is, than so much that western leaders present and past already have to answer for directly. With remarkable consistency, our leaders continue to do what they have done for generations. Israel was never anything new in this picture.
I so appreciate you sharing your genuine anguish and pain over the genocide in Gaza. So many people and artists that I follow don't even mention it is occurring and it feels inhumane.

Exactly the same here, Holly. I'm always disturbed by wars and suffering but this is rocking my world. I can't stop thinking of it. My mind can't comprehend what those people are going through. I'm trying to learn more.
I don't think we are suppose to ever 'cope' with seeing a father holding up his headless baby. We are human and will be forever altered. Bigger question, how do we cope with the fact that people don't care? that people justify this? that our neighbors and leaders promote and applaud this?
I don't have an answer, people close to me don't want to know. It's painful :(

I am really horrified as well Holly. Unable to concentrate on anything properly. And today some more horrifying news. In our small town many of us have been meeting every Saturday since November last year to hold a vigil/rally, calling out for Peace, a Ceasefire, Not In Our Name. The little group of about 10 has grown, often there are 50 people showing up. People from various ethnic backgrounds, Jews, Muslims, Christians, and like me, atheists. We have some Palestinians that live in the next small town and they along with some of our group have organised a "Learn About Palestine" educational afternoon with food that their families have made, show a film about the real history, have a short question and answer period. A friend messaged me and said how helpless she feels. And this is how our Governments want us to feel, helpless and paralysed so they can continue this really hellish killing. We have all changed, the world has changed and it is very evident that many, many of us are not going to accept this way of life any more. It is important to remember that we too should just take some time out otherwise we will not be able to cope either. Thank you so much for speaking out, for talking about this and linking up the dots. We are all in it together and will stay strong and do what we can. ❤ None of us is free until Falastin is free.

Your tears are getting me teary. It’s terrible beyond words. The world can be peaceful but it’s a power trip for those leaders. Why? We have the ability to be living in peace throughout the world and we aren’t there. Sad.
Unfortunately, killing machines are extremely profitable. 😞

Yes - a greyhound trait! They can get all kinds of bumps and spots and they come and go. We had them checked by the vets, all fine :)

Holly even later in the video when you were no longer focussed on the genocide in Palestine I can see the pain etched in your face. It's the same expression we are carrying in my own home. Back in the 1980s I could see what a travesty was the state of Israel and the daily crimes committed against the Palestinians. Back then I thought, "surely, this cannot go on much longer". And yet.....I'm so sick of all the "but Hamas!" bullshit. To those people I say: what would you do? What would you do if you were born into an open air concentration camp? What would you do if your water and electricity was cut off at a whim? What would you do if your oppressor was free to walk into your house and declare it theirs while you are left homeless? This is not a war, this is an apartheid state that is inflicting genocide on an innocent people.
