this show is so frustrating but SO good
I would describe the vibe as honest or authentic more than just ‘depressing’. I feel like it captures the anticipation (and panic ha) that comes with new love better than any other show I’ve seen.
This show is one of those shows that stay with you forever. I rewatch it every year. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Normal People completely destroyed me! It's so good but also frustrating and sad. The most important part (to me at least) is that Connell and Marianne relationship feels real and I totally love it.
But seriously Paul and Daisy did a phenomenal job with these characters 💙

I cried so hard during this series that I nearly coughed up a lung. Be prepared for it to get deeeeeeeep. Also, Zuff, Connell and Lorraine are not married! Lorraine is his Mum. Not sure what you think goes on in Ireland these days lol!

Guys, you really should try to get ahold of a - stay with me, here - Norwegian series called Skam, and watch the original version with subtitles (sorry, it's the only way). The episodes are short, and while the first season is a necessary evil (though not bad), the second one will be one of the VERY best seasons of any show you've ever seen. It's that simple, except you have no way of knowing how my taste aligns with yours lol. Maybe give the first season a chance privately and let us join in for season 2, I don't know.

Once you guys finish this series (if you want to keep the irish theme going) you should definitely watch Derry Girls next! Nothing compares to that show, it's truly one of the funniest tv shows of the past decade for sure. I think you guys would love that show it's hilarious!

This was the first thing Paul Mescal did. Incredible start for his career. Aftersun ruined me. Easily one of the best films I've ever seen.
I watched After Sun last month and fell in love with Paul Mescal as an actor. Then you posted that this would be up in two weeks so I knew I had to binge the series last week when I got my wisdom teeth out and wooow I loved it. I hope you do too. Paul Mescal is now one of my top 5 actors.
You didn’t ask, but the grades in Ireland went A1, A2, A3, B1, B2 etc then there’s E & F, then NG (No Grade) if you got I think between 0-9%
