The Mohawk Nation at Akwesasne, Kahnawake and Kanesatake - are looking at community based approaches, each vying to establish its own cannabis licensing and bylaws. This new and emerging ‘Cannabis Culture’ doesn’t come without passionate debates or political pushback from within each community. Journalist Regan Jacobs travels to each territory to get an indigenous perspective on the issue.

So everything green is bad? Lol. You know snakes are different colors, are all the colors bad? I've smoked weed for 20 years and never once have I hissed like a snake or seen anyone else do that smh. I hate strain names like that. My 50 year old Christian mother isn’t gonna go into a shop to get something for her stomach issues and ask for the green crack or the Matanuska Thunderfuck or the cheetah piss. It’s annoying.
