Hey bro, if you act a little more mature in your videos, you’ll reach a better audience you know it’s mostly adults watching his right.
@@Julian_LewisDigcap i’m 16 😂
Anthony URL links don't work anymore on shorts since CZcams has removed to prevent scammers or other dangerous things on the internet 🫠
"Just leave it there all the time" But what about lense cover? To me filters are such a pain since I can not just snap lense cover on and off
In his case he would use a 82mm cover. Simple.
@@DavidSchertz Where can I have such covers? I have only used ones that comes with lenses 🤯
But, lens hoods are an issue. His theory works for studio work but aren’t practical for the everyday photographer.
@@WayneDowning He has explained before he doesn't use hoods
@@DavidSchertzcamera store or Amazon lol
Someone get this guy the H&Y RevoRing
The first thing I do is put an ND filter, so my front element will never be exposed to dust or be touched by mistake.
Because I never have to clean my lens element, It will never get any micro scratches & it also ensures coating remains like new & I get better value while reselling.
Because the ND filter is always on, elements can never get dirty & the filter does get dirty but it's easy to clean or replace it without having to worry too much.
Then do you get an 82mm lens cap for all lenses? Or do you leave your lenses naked?
I wish I saw this video before I ordered my filters, but oh well I use lens hoods anyways
I do the same thing unless it’s too weird like adapting my Fuji 35 F2 from 43mm to 67mm.
But it’s not just about the filters. The lens caps get universally usable as well.
I'm not a filter guy, but thats a great way to do it. Instead of buying a specific diameter for each lens
I'll get a threaded lens hood with 82 mm thread and use the same hood on every lense
That makes sooooo much sense thank you
You should make a video of trying film photography
Anthony enjoy your work. Was wondering when you use a VND, which are you using most often the VND 2-5 or VND 6-9. Than
you sir are a gentleman and a scholar idc what they say
Useful if you use special filters for effect frequently - but I generally get a clear lens filter for every lens to protect the front element from dust, damage, etc. as an event photographer. Then you *can* clean the lens with your t-shirt, and when the filter is scuffed up, toss it and get another $40 filter instead of a $400 or $1400 lens!
I do that! 😂 better Buy 1 great lens filter and many ring adapter, ofcourse there's many filters for different things.
Great vid and advice… thx
thank for the good info ❤
you are trolling us with these shirt wipes
Great video, but I do have to wonder why are you using a cinema lens for photography?
just add the filter to the sensor
Okay wait thats actually smart
Hi, I accidentally bought smaller filter size and don't know what to do. They fall out. Is there any way to screw them to hold in place?
i’m on sony apsc without any telephoto lenses so all my stuff is ø55 haha
Smart!
And they are gonna get lock on top of each other giving you completely mess i've tried it many times
Yea but then i can’t use a lens hood while out
Brilliant
ILY Anthony
So you need to buy all filters at the size of your largest thread lens and buy step ups for the rest of
what about the lenshood , the step up ring makes use impossible, if you dont remove the ring first
I love canon lens USM 70-200mm f2.8 V2
So it zooms in even more?
hey, everyone..
if I want to start with graphic photography, for the EOS R APS-C, what series should I get? r10? r50? or waiting some?? i don't want to take soni, lumiks or any other..
EOS R is very capable. R8 is the next model up from that one
@@Jacob6383 yes, but R & R8 full frame format. I need APSC
How many lenses can you put together
But how does this work with lens hoods?
Why didn't I think of this 🤣
use ef lenses on a dslm so you got a drop in filter
I wish I had known this 3 or 4 years ago.
I’ve always found this to be super inefficient I don’t own enough lenses to justify this I would much rather just buy each an individual filter. It’s faster and cheaper especially if you buy magnetic adapters so you can swap on the fly and use a lens hood. I only all of 4 lenses between all my cameras tho so.
Lens hoods are the issue
How does the hood fit over the step up ring? … it doesn’t, does it? 😐
Why 82 mm
I have a whole set....
i rather not put a ~40$ glass on a lens glass worth +1k
what does it even do?
I’ve been doing this since 1987.
Buy another lens cap too!
Put a ring on it
Does the GOAT reply?
why specifically 82mm, not lower or higher than 82?
It's the biggest? I dunno
Yeah. Camera dudes making equipment bigger and bigger. Fantastic.
Tell me you don't use hoods with out telling me you don't use hoods ;).
You didn't just wipe a lens with your t-shirt, did you?
so no hood then? lol..🤣
Bro poking me so hard by clearing the lens again with his t-shirt (few videos earlier I've mentioned about this in the comments section).
Yes, I do admit I've also cleaned lenses with tshirts and also sometimes my microfiber cloth isn't less cleaner than my tshirt.
He just does it so you comment
You probably unbox them first
Do all your lens caps still fit though 🤔
Usually not unfortunately.
@@AnthonyGugliotta then how do you store your lenses? Do you take the ring off or do you just don’t use lens caps? I’m really curious
@@Bonafani’ve seen some people who buy 82mm lens caps and just keep the ring on all the time
@@Bonafani’ve seen some people who buy 82mm lens caps and just keep the ring on all the time
@@vAmmonite yeah i didn’t think of that
leave it there until it stuck forever
i hate canon cos i have sony
😂😂😂
You fail to tell people that they will no longer be able to use lens caps or lens hoods and they will lose clearance under the lens on gimbals. I bet you thought this video was going to go viral. Nothing new here...just old incomplete news.
Your argument is kinda flawed.
You said "leave it there all the time". Then what's the point of buying a step up ring? Even if you don't use all your lenses frequently, the need to constantly screw and unscrew filters to transfer from one lens to another is such a hassle.
And there is one caution you should have warned about using step up rings. Think.
Create another video for it? :))
Cheaper version of revoring
What ?
Adapter rings existed since the invention of filter size
Wouldn’t work for people that have like aesthetics issues like myself. Knowing something that oversized sitting on the end of my lens would drive me insane, especially if it was an adapter and not something like a lens hood, which is tolerable.
I’ll stick with suffering with multiple lens filters for each lens because mentally that works better than one adapter fitting across multiple lenses. 😂
Except now your lens hood don't work! Never take advice from a video
Yeah always step up don't buy extra filters it's a waste of money
All I see are crappy lenses. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
But if I don't buy lens filters, these step up rings would be useless!
talk less do more, you talk only
Another desperate for content clip…
Tell me you don't use hoods with out telling me you don't use hoods ;).
