Thank you, Juhui, for your insight on our options!! I love that you weighed the pros and cons of each!! Also appreciate your explanation of the logistics of moving from location to location. So happy you enjoyed!!
Thank you, I’m glad you found this video helpful :)
I will be traveling next Spring and all this while I only assuming on campervan option, but judging from your sharing, it seem normal car rental + hotel/ABnB could be viable option too. Thank you for your sharing and wonderful insight.
So glad you found this video helpful. Yes, I definitely recommend checking out car rental +hotel/Airbnb unless you want the campervan experience. Hope you have a great trip to Iceland!
The Iceland video series are AWESOME! SUPER HELPFUL for planning the trip. Thank you!!!
Thank you so much! I'm SUPER glad to hear the videos were helpful for planning your trip :)
Great video! Thank you
Solid video. Well structured. You took your time with the subjects and explained things clearly. Good pace. Thanks... I learned a lot.
Iceland is very expensive! but I will still visit because it's so beautiful and unique.
I totally agree!
Thanks for great insights.
Thanks for the comment, glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the video. Very helpful in my planning for the upcoming trip in June. Iceland is EXPENSIVE!
Glad it was helpful, thanks for the comment. Iceland is expensive, but it will be totally worth it! Have a great trip :)

I totally forgot to add $300 for gas! Total comes out to be $4442. Was it too expensive? Would you do a ring road trip in Iceland? Where would you stay? Let me know 🙂
That sounds about right for prices thinking of a 7 day cruise in a balcony cabin is about 6000 plus flight.....
this was helpful , so expensive Juhui!
Glad to hear that! Yes, hotels are still expensive because there aren’t many available. Good news it looks like more hotels and houses are getting built in Iceland, so hopefully the cost of lodging will become more affordable in near future :)
Great video! which rental car company did you pick?
Thank you for asking! It was Blue Car Rental - we booked online and picked up the car at their location right across the Keflavik airport. If you have more questions, let me know. I’ve also shared a complete overview of Iceland trip in this video: czcams.com/video/Krq1C5F4XUk/video.html
Hi Tony, we went with Blue Car Rental, and here's my affiliate link, if you're still looking! bit.ly/3BSxnx8
Hello Juhui , Thanks so much for all of your videos, very helpful. We should start planning now 😊BTW i know you were there in summer , but which month? weather wasn’t bad at all huh
You’re very welcome! I’m glad to hear it was helpful. We were in Iceland in mid June. The weather was nice overall, but it got colder at night for sure. We brought many layers of clothes and a raincoat, and it helped!
@@NewYorkerJuhui Hi how far did you start planning and booking
Thx
@@taniac3669 We planned about 1.5 months before the trip. We were able to book all the hotels and a nice SUV for a good price (bit.ly/3BSxnx8 ) for our ring road road trip. But I noticed that most camper vans were sold out, and popular hotels were mostly booked up and the rate was pretty high. I think planning 3 months ahead would be best, if possible!
@@NewYorkerJuhui Thx sooo much for your help . I checked the self tours , car, accommodation, map and suggestions cost over 3000/pp in summer , I ll follow your routes
@@NewYorkerJuhui Hi Juhui , thx soooo much for giving me all information. We ll follow your routes then . So for the Golden Circle , your last 3 days , did you stayed in Hlid Fisherman village for your last 2 nights to do the Golden Circle ? 2 days for Golden circle are good enough then Blue Lagoon on the day you flight out ? I checked Hlid Fisherman village on your link , they have 3 rooms , room with 3 bunk beds , and standard room with 2 twin beds . and bigger room . Only my husband and I , so did you book standard room with 2 twins? I love the location and your room
Greatly appreciate for your help
I really got into Iceland after watching the Eurovision movie on Netflix. And really want to know the country. Also my fondness of the viking culture as well. Would love to see the sights.
I have to admit the Eurovision movie was definitely one of the things that introduced Iceland to me as well, I highly recommend visiting Iceland!
@@NewYorkerJuhui great minds think alike then :)
Love your video, I was looking for the hotel link but there isn't any of the places. Where do I find the link. Thanks
Thanks for asking! Here are the links to the hotels that I recommend: Hotel Vík í Mýrdal cheapoair.tp.st/eLSiVcTy Magma Hotel: www.magmahotel.is/ Hlid fisherman Village: cheapoair.tp.st/JzAyT1Ak (some of them are my affiliate links)
You forgot to include the costs of the tunnel toll between akureyri and myvatn..Also, GAS costs to drive around 😊
Right, I forgot to include the gas cost in the video which was around $300 for the ring road trip.
You recommended only three hotels, is this the only three places you stayed on the entire trip? Great Video !!!! Thanks, this help a lot
You’re so welcome! We stayed more than 3 hotels: we had to stay just one night in each hotels except the last one near Reykjavík. I didn’t recommend 3 other hotels we stayed in, because they were just okay.
@@NewYorkerJuhui can you do the Golden circle with your last 2 nights stayed near Reykjavik at Hlid Fisherman Village ?
Would you suggest renting a regular suv and sleeping in there instead of the lodging?
If renting a SUV costs same as camper van, I think a camper van might be more comfortable. It’s a little more spacious.
