I have been using Schwab for over two decades. Some of your information is needed for newbies minus the fear mongering, upselling, and click baiting.
I was advised to diversify my portfolio among several assets such as stocks and bonds since this can protect my inherited portfolio of about $2.5m. I’m used to just buying and holding assets which doesn’t seem applicable to the current rollercoaster market plus inflation is catching up with my portfolio. I’m really worried about survival after retirement.
True, I mostly just buy and hold stocks, but my portfolio has been mostly in the red for quite awhile now. Unfortunately to be able to make good gains, you’ll need to be consistent and restructure your portfolio frequently.
In my opinion, it was much easier investing back in the 60s but it’s a lot trickier now, those making consistent profit in these times are professionals reason I’ve been using an advisor for the past 5 years to consistently build my portfolio in preparations for retirement.
My partner’s been considering going the same route, could you share more info please on the advisor that guides you?

that's the more reason I prefer my day to day investment decisions being guided by an advisor seeing that their entire skillset is built around going long and short at the same time both employing risk for its asymmetrical upside and laying off risk as a hedge against the inevitable downward turns, coupled with the exclusive information/analysis they have, it's near impossible to not out-perform, been using my advisor for over 2years+

Bought nvidia at 134 2 years ago, took some profits, and will ride it on house money.
I’m not messing with moomoo. I sent all of my info. Kept saying they couldn’t read it. Had to take a photo of myself and send it. They acted like they couldn’t see that. There is nothing wrong with my camera on my phone. Had to send more info because I have a p. o. box as my mailing address, so I had to send them info of my actual home address. That wasn’t acceptable. Omg they are worse than the damn DMV. I told them to forget it. I’ll find somewhere else to invest.
I agree that it will grow, but I’m not seeing 800% in four years.
I’d take 100 percent in the next 4 years. If you know the rule of 72 the ability to double your money in 4 years is a historically great return.
I have done very well with NVDA. I love the 10 for 1 split, but they will get more competition in the next few years.

Yes for the most part.I remember when Nvida split a few years back. I waited until the split. You don't gain or lose. People get excited about the one too many split but dollar to dollars. All the same. So if you buy 10 shares post split, it will be about the same as the buying 1 share now that will split. (market fluctuation aside) I am not a finical expert. Just common sense, observation, and experience.

You can do more with more shares.
Things like sell covered calls for premium, have more votes for members of the board, and the stock split also increases the options market liquidity for Nvidia.
Yes more shares is benefical of course but I see NVDA gaining daily as of late! The other day before the meeting it was at $944…! Now itʻs at $1064 & gainng. So if you bought a share yesterday at 1064, it may be significantly higher by June 7 thus youʻre theoretically better off buying now. Later, each share will reflect the elevated price.
But I just realized…..buying more shares beginning on June 7th would be beneficial to those who donʻt want to drop $1100-1200 in one pop! This way, you can buy a few shares at a time & not empty your bank account which is what Iʻm going to do! THANK YOU @MrRichardFain‼️‼️‼️🤙🏽🙏🏽💯💎🌺

Hey Rich. Please wait for a pullback of the share price. It most certainly will happen as many traders and some long-term investors will look to lock in profits. Nvidia doesn't actually make chips. That would be Taiwan Semiconductors. Nvidia designs chips and are far superior to the next competitor. Right now they have a superior moat.

Lol I know right. Don’t think he really knows what he’s doing. He’s just fomoing into stock that everyone is buying when it’s at its highest. Not to say that nvidia is a bad company but not to many people where buying from $200 til $800. But everyone’s buying now which is honestly a bad indication. Meanwhile Tesla is a fraction of its cost and no one’s talking about it (except maybe bad things) which is honestly a good indication. Pretty much saying he’s in the same boat your on so do your own research and just don’t follow! That’s why I stopped watching him, he doesn’t add any value tbh!

Unc, these folks can't stomach doing that in a crash. They can do it now because its a bunch of euphoria but we know the market will severely pull back due to commercial estate going bust. When that happens, all those folks will see their investments tank to the pits and they'll think you were wrong because they don't have the history. That emotional part is what really matters in consistency. Everyone can execute consistently in a rising market. The real question not for Unc BUT for you is, can you execute consistently when the market continuously falls and you're in a even bigger loss? Yeah..we'll see how this goes for you newbies. If it were just easy to do it, we would all be rich but when that market crashes, we will REALLY see who was really ready to be super rich. lol
