- originally intended to be in the d-sides sonic.exe mod, was planned to be moved to it's own seperate mod but i'm choosing not to finish it because
a. i'm losing interest in exe as a whole
b. even though it has not been a part of joseph's project for a while now i'd still feel dirty finishing it because of how much i associate it with his mod after all the stuff came out about him

This is far better than any other d-side fight or flight.
The concept is amazing, Maria knows what she's doing, yet the temptation to devour her only friends is overpowering her, like she's being controlled by something else. The art too, is amazing. I would love to see a d-sides prey.
Is that Maria? more looks like some kind of prince that started to devour his own servants and regrets it. also why do everyone think its Ray singing against her? maybe bc of his voice am i right? or what? can somebody tell me the full story of this?

In my opinion, Ray being the d-sides version of tails actually makes a lot of sense; the official d-sides mod used Mighty instead of Sonic (which I think was a perfect choice), and since Mighty's partner is typically depicted to be Ray on top of the pair's "same but different" designs and abilities compared to our main duo Sonic and Tails (in Sonic Mania Plus Mighty has a stomp instead of Sonic's drop dash and Ray has a Mario world-style gliding ability instead of Tails' regular flying), Ray logically should be the canon D-sides tails.

This sended a chill down my spine
*Lore Idea* Maria was y´know. Sick af and the only thing that could cure her was Armadillo meat. So she told Shadow to go hunt for Mighty. Even though she felt awful about Mighty dieing, she needed it to survive. D-sides Prey would be Shadow hunting for Mighty and the dialouge wouldn´t skip to another character it would be Shadow telling Mighty "it´s for the sake of Maria" "I´m sorry little Armadillo". Then at the end Hejhog kil Armadilo. Maria would taste the flavour of Mobian meat. And instantly fall in love of it telling Shadow that she was still sick and needed more meat. And so more and more Mobian´s fell. Maria´s actions started weighing on her back every following day. One day she told Shadow what she had done. Shadow was absolutely disgusted. "How could you have done that Maria" "I had trusted you". Under all this pressure, Shadow succumbed and suicided bye creating a shortcircuit in his shoes. " *BOOM* " Blood spread around the room. Shadows body on the ground. *But the urge was too much* Maria cut loose and devoured Shadow´s body. The next day Ray started gettng suspicious. So he went to the space ship. he heard Maria´s cries and went as fast as he could. He then saw the worst display of gore a Mobian had ever presenced. He took a step back and triped on one of Shadow´s limbs. "What... what have you done?" He said shakily. Maria got up from her bed and said, "I know I´m a monster, but the temptation is too strong." "Don´t worry little squirrel, this will be quick.
Imagine that in the end,Rougr and Eggman team up and blow up the Ark

@@russell6720After Maria killed Ray,she was still hungry.Gerald and whole crew had to evacuate.The capsule landed on the planet Mobius.The Mobians and Crew became friends but they still know about danger in the space.Few years later Rouge saw the Ark falling from the space.She and Eggman used the Tornado and managed to shoot it out.Maria died.
Despite the amount of typographical errors, it is still good lore, but because Maria and Ivo are swapped, this event would exist after Ivo’s death😊

I had a dream where this was finished, and it had some lore in the video excluding the text "I know I'm a monster, but the temptation is too strong."
The video also had a background, with Maria standing in some weird horror-like bedroom.

Sapient means it’s aware of its existence. Sentient means capable of complex thought.
As your comment stands, its basically describing people who eat meat (like pork or beeef), but when you swap it with sentient, it becomes something else

Ray seems to be using a gun. I can hear faint gun shot sounds.
Even if it’s unfinished, it still sounds like it’s done
Kinda wish this wasn’t scrapped because it’s a really good concept
There was probably meant to be a very intense part after the green hill part since the green hill motif seems to replace the cave zone motif.
It sounds determinating also we can hear remorse fom Marias side

Plus, D-Side isn't a swap mod. If D-Sides Eggman is actually Maria, why wouldn't they make Sonic as Shadow? That would make more sense than Mighty.

I think if I made up the story
On the Sadaria they ran out on food and Maria was drove insane she found her father working on a way to go home to earth so they can get food
But the temptation was so strong that Maria wanted to kill and eat her father
Insert prey d side (and for furnace one of the robot shadows in shadows game)
When shadow finds Maria he’s disguised and horrified Maria tries to explain but shadow knows what he has to do…

in starved lore, Eggman doesn't eat humans, he only eats animals
I'm assuming the same applies here, Maria has no reason to eat Gerald because she isn't supposed to be a cannibal
I know it sort of doesn’t make sense but d-side is different and she was driven insane
@@mbfwithlyrics3305 D-Side has to be different but similar at the same time, an example is that a "frostbite" D-side instead of the silver mountain should be a hot or burning place, also the characters that would be gold and red could easily be lucho and rizzo (the reason is that both are protagonists in the same region, one from the first game and another from the second also because at the time a final battle between the two was highly expected which never happened but they did make a rom hack, a lot text :v)
