Oh ya, Matt Mevert went on to win.
Everyone bashes on Pierce. The kid is a good racer and I've seen him race numerous times. Harrison was mad cause he lost.
Shall we take a moment to remember when Mike took out Kenny Wallace at Peoria Speedway last year to win a race? Talk about some dirty driving. There's a difference between racing for position where a slid job doesn't quite work and dirty driving. By no means was this on purpose.
Agreed..not the smoothest slide attempt by the smooth operator but anyone who thinks that was intentional obviously doesn't go to the track much
Wish Bobby would come give Gilpin some of that after all the shit Devin's pulled this season (Two examples would have to be the SummerNats race at Brownstown when he did what Bobby did here to Lines in the heat and then brake checked Kenny Wallace on the restart after he bragged about him on national TV). If you're around this sport and you think the best drivers are competing at the highest level you're mistaken. Some of the best drivers are the local guys that don't have near the funds or help to travel but give the top guys the best they can when they're around. Most of the big names in dirt track racing (as far as LM and Mods go) are rich kids who's parent's/grandparent's have deep pockets. Tyler Reddick. Bobby Pierce. Devin Gilpin. Josh Richards. Billy Moyer Jr. Devin Moran. The list goes on and on. There are still decent guys out there but you can't deny that the majority of this generation are a bunch of spoiled brats. Some of them can drive, all of them have acted like complete babies at one point or another. If Pierce was smart he'd get a crew together, get out on his own (yes, with daddy's money) but without his family and focus on his career and try to show people he can get it done and stay out of trouble on his own. Maybe he could land a solid ride for someone and go a different route rather than hiding behind daddy all the time. Like I said, kid can drive but he needs to leave the nest.
That guy in that 24 car was out of control. And he was not nearly as fast as the 32 car.. Pierce obviously would have won that race if not for the incident.. Fastest car out there. What the 18 car was mad about, I have no idea.. That kid is a great driver, with big stones.. .Love to watch him race..
hazelbakerj I know this was 5 years ago but u clearly have no clue ab racing that 24 car is mike Harrison probably the fastest modified driver to ever live Bobby pierce threw the most dirty slider you’ll ever see that year
sorry to say but Dan Hamstra is the best modified driver ever. 2nd is Nick Hoffman. Mike Mckinney is better than Harrison.
