@@MintBlitz please do a video on Juggernaut - it was only available for 3 weeks and has not been added to Rumble Pit since the Tenrai playlist was replaced by Combat Workshop!!! It was so much fun, and it feels savage to have it removed from matchmaking entirely.
Forge and forgers are carrying infinite so hard.
They also fixed the shock rifle firing sound that was missing, first person was fine, but the third person the weapon was bugged and fired silent rounds before, you couldn't hear it due to an introduced bug from one of the last updates.
As great of an update as this, the fact bulk of 343 dev made content in this update is cosmetics in the shop is just pathetic

It really feels like there's like 5 or less devs left working on Infinite and 4 of them are on Microtransactions. The monetization of this game is really bad. The game doesn't need to be struggling this much, but it is and that sucks.
Should of just charged $60 for the game and made sure the game was complete at launch

@@Halofan9233 same. I played it every day for at least an hour for a solid year and a bit straight. Past 3 months my interest in the game has died completely. I play it like twice every 2 weeks now. Oh well. Maybe I’ll grind it for max rank again
0:35 "Do not expect dev-created content" is one of the most depressing things I've ever heard. That's the expectation now for Halo, not just that we don't expect finished and satisfying new content, but that we might not even see any from 343i at all. Jesus christ man what a fall from grace.
343, Microsoft, and Xbox have completely moved on from Infinite and from the sounds of it even earlier than when we noticed. It sucks because Halo Infinite had so much potential. I wish Microsoft had just expanded 343 and continued to support Infinite as the live service multiplayer (warzone if you will). Then have new expanded teams work on a remake and a new campaign entry and maybe spin offs like the ODST helldivers like game and halo wars. I mean you look at how other publishers treat their flagships. Capcom and resident evil/Monster Hunter, Sega and Sonic, Nintendo and Mario, etc. Not everyone loves ever entry, but there's so much content that everyone always has something they can play. Especially consider sonic, so many sonic fans hate so many mainline games and yet he still manages to be such an iconic driving force in video games with consistent content and great popularity. Meanwhile the wait between Halo 5 and Infinite was absolutely ridiculous and then they fumble infinite and abandon it so short into its lifespan. Like even before we stopped getting dev made content, Microsoft/Xbox has BARELY been showing off and marketing the game. Even when it has really good updates to market. Like Halo Infinite has missed the past 3 Xbox Showcases in the summer (and the infection update would have been SO good to showcase there) even when every other Microsoft owned live service is there (some with a nothing burger update; some even with updates that already launched).
I mean did halo 3 and reach receive dev made content over two years after launch? No. Yes, infinite was meant to be a live service game, but they've shifted to making the next game. But support did last longer than previous games including halo 5.
@@Major_ZephyrThat would hold some weight if it wasn't for the fact that 343 drip-fed us content for the first year and half, then almost entirely relied on community forgers for content after forge finally dropped. They released an unfinished game, continuously fell behind despite us having low expectations, and then rely on the community to fluff the game out. I'm not trying to shit on the game itself, Infinite had *a lot* of potential, I just don't understand how people can justify still playing it. The community needs to send a message to Microsoft and 343, and that message is "get your shit together or we will unfortunately have to let this franchise die with what little dignity it has left." I hate to just sound like another hater, but this is what we've been pushed too and I fear not many people are willing to accept that.

@@thataintfalco7106 and adding new maps etc like the last games did. Which btw was free in Infinite unlike the last games. Refer to my last reply to the other guy. I know it's not the perfect comparison, but those Halos received post launch content too, and it was overall less content we had to pay for, as well as having shorter post-launch support than Infinite had

The new btb mode gives so much score. Wish they added it sooner. Would have made the hero grind a lot easier. At least newer players can get an easier start. With 40 kills players would get 8000 score and with the BTB multiplier it’s about 15k XP towards hero
i haven't been getting a multiplier but it is good for score. First game had 9k score

Microsoft sorely underestimates how many players would come back for more substantial updates. Chris Raygun was so right when he said they needed to relaunch the game instead of drip-feeding it.

When they first implemented the match composer me and a Friend thought they removed husky raid until a few days later I found it in the quickplay playlist
Same here, on top of that the different types of husky raid are spread all over the place

Basicly, it feels like there is a team of around 5 people who are working on this game. The content comes from the comunity, the Devs are just playtesting and making cosmetics...
I mean yeah, there aren't enough people working on the game, the shop is their only form of revenue, everybody is overworked and underpaid. Microsoft is starving 343 because it's easier to fund over-saturated, pay-to-win gamble fests then it is to give somebody resources to make a quality product. If they let microsoft finish infinite and release late without a battle pass (the original plan), none of this would have happened.
You’re giving them too much credit. I’m pretty sure these cosmetics were made a while ago when they had more team members. The new shop offerings have notably been lessening, its like they’re stretching what they have left.

From the moment the exchange was introduced, i have stopped playing halo completely. To see all the content i have already earned from every single weeks ultimate challenge since release is just depressing.
The next Halo multiplayer needs to be a paid game and get rid of these cosmetic microtransactions. It’s gotten completely out of control and done so much damage to the IP.

Imagine a mode like in Battlefront where teams attack and defend an AT-AT while it travels. Would love a mode like that in Halo. Attack and defend a Scarab or an Elephant from Halo 3. Would be awesome.
I play Super Fiesta like 90% of the time, and since they moved it under quick play, the wait time for match making has quadrupled. I used to get into a match in less than a min. Now sometimes it takes like 5 min or more. A lot of people still think Fiesta is gone. Hell, I thought so too until someone on CZcams told me how to find it.
They shove us shop items up our azzes. But we cant buy older armor like kerebus helmet

This update looks decent, but not enough to take me away from other games I'm playing. There's way too much out there to play for me to spend my time playing half assed content updates.

Wouldn't it be nice to get a game mode that allows us to play as spartans, elites, brutes, jackals, hunters, maybe sentinels as an equipment you can pick up that follows you around and protects you until it dies or you die? All with their own unique traits and abilities like classes. One big massive battle like Invasion from Halo Reach. Objective based, like rather than capturing a point, destroy their entire base piece by piece, take down generators to lower the shields. ability to repair the shields for your base. Use vehicles for transporting bombs or intel. Maybe have a reinforcement counter like in Star Wars battlefront. Either kill off their reinforcements or destroy their base to win. Then let everyone show off their allegiance to whichever side and make their character their own like the customization in Overwatch? Just picturing a squad of Sangheli riding in a Spectre with a flag that they customized to make it their own, cruising across the map through plasma balls and bullets and grenades and rockets trying to take a bomb to the enemy's gates like In Lord of the Rings (space pickle). Using Phantoms, Wraiths, Warthogs, Scorpions, Banshees, Ghosts, Revenants, choppers, Mongooses (Mongeese?), the whole nine yards.
This is what we need. Maybe not this specific idea, but for someone to go all in on a cool concept that will just steal our hearts and let the community run with it.

genuinly enjoyed the new gamemode, the sbmm was ridiculous but the way it played out was much better than btb slayer or stockpile for me imo.

Yep, and they made a covenant carbine looking commando skin, I've seen modders with less add brand new weapons, not asking for much, or finish the like 3 textured almost complete assets (apc falcon brute shotgun) in the files.
Something i noticed right away that i dont think is mentioned is that they fixed the shock rifle sound, the "world" firing sound or third person firing sound was missing prior due to a bug from last updates, but it is restored now and you can now hear your enemies or friends firing the weapon.
The impact sound of the weapon hitting something always worked though.
What if big team firefight? I think a 12 person firefight spanning a larger area would be awesome!

I'm waiting for halo infinite to have a sandbox like H5 but it will never happen.
They 100 percent made sbmm tighter in quick play i play almost exclusively 1500+ skill lobbies now and play like they same 50ish people over and over.
All these beautiful updates and content and modes this better be at launch for the next halo game

Microtransactions, reliance on player-passion to make interesting stuff to do, and an apathetic corporate development studio without souls or spines. I'd only play this as a passing fancy without spending a dime on it. They don't deserve money.

I think the new lead designer also has experience at Creative Assembly working on Halo Wars 2. Maybe he's going to work on Halo Wars 3?
No the new lead designer was previously working on Hyenas a game that looked so bad Sega cancelled before it even came out

I played the new game mode once and the Sentinels would just get stuck in a corner, which shows how little they're actually putting any effort into the forge stuff they move into matchmaking

The sbmm is definitivley stricter than before. The search times have quadrupled (3- 5 min)at least for us and now every game is like a ranked lobby. Almost exclusive Onix players. So sad. My Brother (silver rank) finds games much faster…so there would be enough player to get good search times but the sbmm ruins it.

Emotes/ weapon inspection. Would’ve been nice for assassinations to be back. I like them since they are pretty quick unlike other games.
This mode is pretty great, I just wish there was some Banished AI on the map to really make it feel like a true PVPVE mode. BTB has deployable AI equipment which would be perfect for this.
This update would have been an amazing time to add playable elites. Just like adding the prism needle mine map would have been great for the needle rifle
I really didn't know about the hidden play lists. I've watched a few of your vids, somehow missed this.
I really hope there's more campaign at some point. I like multilayer, I do, but I want the story and the campaign.... It is such a shame they didn't continue with infinite and atriox. I'd have bought dlc around that. Maybe the books will finish the story arc.
I look forward to the remakes, hope they don't alter the storyline too much, but I really want new games, not remakes.

the new BTB mode is CRAZY for career EXP. It's super easy to get kills, and healing your boss with the repair field will actually add score equal to the points you restore. You can get 6000+ career rank EXP really easily per match.

Yeah the only way that I think I’ll come back at this point is if there’s a major campaign update. I’m tired of getting hyped for halo content only to get burned. It’s been going on for over a decade at this point

tbh im glad they are still updating this game I just dont play anymore cause its summer and id rather be outside but im looking forward to having alot more content in winter hopefully its not too long to find matches by then cause that will kill my motivation to play.
Currently the usual horrible desync and latency issues make this game unplayable, no wonder even the die hards leave.

You should see the steam forum discussions for this game. There is 2 - 3 people have been given admin status and anyone who says anything bad about the game they get their post banned and then get banned from the forums, on top of that the admins constantly defend the game and horrible state of the game and think its the best halo ever made.

The fact that the Match composer makes some previous game modes harder to select is a design flaw: Now even selecting just swat is tedious cause i have the game on spanish and i have to search through a list of translated and non translated gamemodes and it looks so goofy how it says like: Cazador Táctico, and then Tactical Slayer. Also the modes are not even listed well, for example swat game modes are not next each other, you have to search them through the entire list

After Spirit of Fire, I haven't played for more than like one tier of an Operation. The Exchange literally does nothing to allow F2P to do anything. There are still items that were never released going back to Season 1 in the Polished-Petal Yoroi Wrist, and newer stuff like the rest of the Solarian Legend weapon coatings from Season 4.
Sentry defense is a blast we need more modes like these cough cough griffball
