I liked the Edge Transit meme, dam did it drop often. I loved how in Dawning when you messed up a recipe you got burnt edge transit and gave it to Rahool, just pure gold

@@barelyfunctional1693 Shatterdive Hunter meta back during the beginning of Beyond Light, I think. He didn't die in the clip shown since his teammate managed to kill the Hunter mid-dive.

A meme that will always stick with me is one my clan came up with. We were playing Day 1 of Deep Stone Crypt, and got to Atraks. Out of the 11 hours we spent on the raid, around 8 of those were spent purely on Atraks. And, because of spending so long in that encounter, we essentially got so delirious that everyone in the fireteam started mishearing Clovis’s “Sector Reassessment, Status: Calamitous” line as “Gender Reassessment, Status: Calamitous”
That's a good one.
My clan actually has the same running joke lmao. Can’t ever do DSC without someone saying “gender reassessment” every time that line plays

The two tokens and a blue live stream reveal was absolutely priceless. I don't think there was a single destiny player who didn't see it coming but I think the entire community was still bamboozled when they had the audacity to show it live. Just an amazing, amazing moment in D2 history.

I know it's not even a top tier meme, but Moon's Haunted is my personal favorite for how ridiculous it was.
The obscurity of what the Veil is gonna become a meme, I can feel it.
It wasn't exactly a meme by definition, but I have fond memories of the original D1 loot cave. The way that info spread organically and led to scores of people just standing in the Cosmodrome shooting into a cave, emoting at each other, having a good time - and all the screenshots of piles of engrams and orbs. Great time.
It might as well been a meme if Bungie used the loot cave as the start to the Grasp of Avarice dungeon.
I was only able to exploit that exploit for one day, then when I vacation and they patched it.

As a Destiny 1 Beta player, I was really hoping to see "We've woken the Hive" as part of your list. For those who don't know: Back in the days of Destiny 1, our first arrival on the moon, the Guardian is following a signal from an unknown person. We come into a valley and three Hive Seals break off the door below us. As we come back to fight from the cutscene, our Ghost says "We've woken the Hive". This line became famous because this one spot in the mission was found to be a fantastic farming spot for loot, gear and pretty much anything you needed. One of the first ever farming spots in Destiny history. When someone was in your Fireteam and they say "We've woken the Hive", back then it meant we were gonna hear that alot cause they wanted to go farm for gear, weapons and exotics. Now a days you hear it in reference to loot farming in repetitive tasks where an opening line is heard at the start of the encounter and it's the same everytime.

Stroke the forge… A true classics for those who know
I love that two tokens and a blue. Mainly because it reminds me of another similar thing we (my raid group) used to have in Guild Wars 2. If you cleared a raid encounter a second time in the same week you'd get "two blues and a green".
Not really true anymore (you get a seemingly random amount of blues/greens now) and I honestly don't know if it ever was, but that meme established itself when one of our raid team members was playing out of his mind top DPS and everything and then got his raid loot which was "two blues and a green" since it wasn't his first weekly clear.

I was never a King Gothalion fan, but I will always remember fondly the reveal stream of the Reef and him trolling Deej the entire time.

Also, a personal meme for me is that back in the crota's end days whenever he would start moving back to the middle of the platform me and my team started chanting "he's crotating, he's crotating" so that's become a meme for us basically whenever anything in the game rotates.
Honestly, the "I don't even have time to explain why I don't have time to explain." is basically the ur meme for Destiny. The first great one, and always applicable even outside of Destiny as a franchise.
I teared up at “Whether we wanted it or not…” I just realized that I haven’t actually listened to the audio in years, and the combo of nostalgia for D1 and sad about Lance Reddick hit me hard

Devrim Kay. From what I can gather, he commands the NLB from an old church tower just inside the Trostland. He’s well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take the Brit out, and break his grip on that rifle.
