When you look at Brock's tattoo, the blade is actually dull. But this guy made the sword look sharp and deadly just from a drawing. That's real talent 👍🏽

    1. I believe Brock Lesnar has expressed some regret about that tattoo and admits to having been wasted when he got it
    2. This is pretty clearly a decorative piece, not meant for use in real sword fights, so the bizarre design doesn't mean much
    3. The music playing in the background, sounding like the chimpunks really sells this for me

How anyone would find fault with this mans work and skill is shocking, +DiResta is a craftsman of the highest calibre whom has shared his skill and expertise, to see some utter knobs try and critic his work as if anyone is interested or asked for their opinion shows how many know it also are out there. There is nowhere in the video description that asks for comments on workmanship.

Epic as always, Jimmy. Can i recommend that you make a friction folder knife next? I'm sure you would make it a thing of beauty as you always do. Not many around that i would consider as art but I'm sure yours would be. Thanks for your videos man

There's suddenly a lot of cool looks in real life in that particular carved fishbone pattern.
The best looking unique blade styling for a good while.

I can't say I like the handle but the guard and the blade look awesome, the blade is almost like knapped flint. Beautiful craftsmanship though as always Jimmy.

Jimmy, thanks for showing your watch while cutting the guard! I've always wondered just how much different parts get sped up in your videos, and that was a really cool and non-intrusive way to see. I wonder if you've done that in the past and I've just never noticed before.... *goes back to watch everything a 5th time*

Clearly, the design is meant to look intimidating on the chest of a very large, angry man, and is not meant to be taken seriously as a weapon. Having said that, Jimmy made one hell of a mean-looking tribute to the interesting, if unpractical, design.
I'm pretty sure his intentions were to make a real-world version of a tattoo that's pretty famous. Whether you think the tattoo does its job of intimidation, or that it looks ridiculous isn't relevant to the discussion.
Jimmy set out to do what he was trying to do - he didn't draw the original design, just made a copy of something that's over-the-top, for the hell of it, and it looks like he had a pretty good time, which in the end, is what fabrication is all about (at least when you're doing it on your own time for your own reasons).
Good job, sir! Keep 'em coming!

    By the power of Grayskull!
I really like the mortise and tenon joint between the handle and guard.
Ever think of doing a batch of shivs and knuckle-dusters from odds and ends around the shop? Like when you did bottle openers. I'd watch that.

Great build, Jimmy. I like the final texture and patina on the blade. You had fun reproducing Brock's tattoo knife... you didn't design it. Well done, buddy. I like to randomly check out the amazing videos of your vocal critics and look at all the cool stuff they make. Only problem is... they don't make anything, or make videos for that matter! Doh! Keep up the great work and keep the videos coming.

The good thing about this comment section is that there's probably 50% fewer comments from knife nerds. Jimmy caused aneurysms to pop in the other half when he mounted the blade to the handle with JB Weld! You've done us all a great service James!
