Inner Splendor Media's "In The Spirit of Peace" is a stirring, mystical, richly textured collection of classic Christmas melodies and new holiday music, performed by some of the British Isles most accomplished musicians.
This one-of-a-kind song cycle wraps the familiar melodies of Christmas around a Celtic musical foundation, with Ann Malone and Sarah Warwick's vocals augmented by traditional Gaelic instruments like the Uilleann Pipes and the Bodhran. You'll hear classic Christmas music as you never have before, with driving rhythms, hypnotic vocal harmonies and virtuosic instrumental performances.
To create "In The Spirit of Peace," Ann Malone, Alan Reekie and Rob Smith assembled a group of Irish and Scottish musicians with lifelong passions for their homeland's music. The ensemble imbues each song with the weight, power and character of the Celtic musical tradition, which was born in India and traveled through Romania, Eastern Europe and France before blossoming in Ireland and Scotland. Delicate, driving, melodic and spiritual, "In The Spirit of Peace" is a tapestry of sound that will enrich your entire winter.
As a whole, "In The Spirit of Peace" encompasses a wide musical range, drawing upon the full spectrum of the musical tradition from which it springs forth. Among classics like "O Holy Night," "Little Drummer Boy" and "Silent Night," the album includes traditional folk melodies and captivating original songs like lead single "Mahaday," an Ann Malone composition that celebrates the Spanish and Latin side of the Celtic tradition. A rousing rendition of "Auld Lang Syne" recalls an Irish pub session, while a hypnotic, near-reggae "Carol of the Bells" is both meditative and propulsive.
Inner Splendor Media is a recording company that specializes in pure, simple, elemental and beautiful music found all over the world. "In The Spirit of Peace" is the first of two new collections of Christmas music released by the company in late 2009.
Produced by Ann Malone, Alan Reekie, Rob Smith, Vidura Barrios & Kanta Barrios.

Emmanuel means, God with us. He is not in a piece of wood or in a stone as this 2nd saying implies. God's Holy Spirit lives in those who believe in his son, Jesus! Jesus is Emmanuel, God made incarnate, and came to us to testify to the truth! AMEN
I sang this in a church choir when I was 10 in the 1960s. It still brings back special memories.
Merry Christmas and a happy new year to all people around the world.
This recording is Magnificent-Merry Christmas-This was the man-Jesus

Finally, God's two month respite from the darkness and death of war and political chicanery on both sides. A Greater Peace awaits us.

Zoltán Kodály : Veni veni Emmanuel. The classic songs
Beautiful
Absolutely beautiful. Krásné.
Sublime j'adore
"...Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel..." Incidentally, the word Immanuel in Hebrew means, direct translation: With us is God.
I love this music!
i believe this is a prophetic heart cry right now in this terrible time. oh come oh come Emmanuel and ransom captive Israel! that mourns in lonely exile here. Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel shall come to thee Israel! it is like a trumpet sounding
+jo T Yes, totally agree with you-I feel it too this season. It is the season!! Oh come!
Very beautiful :)
Nollaig Shona!! Dia Bless! :)
I like the song
@szabadon1 No, it's a traditional French tune, over 500 years old. Kodaly arranged it; he was a great collector of traditional tunes.
Lovely
Beautiful words
Krásné:-)
Owww Perfect ... :(
Me too dvdoso52
He didn't say it, but His prophet/poet Isaiah did. See Isaiah 7:14. Merry Christmas!
It is a beautiful piece but my friend a couple of your quotes (of Jesus) are not correctly attributed. One was not Jesus at all it was Leo Tolstoy, the 2nd may have been Jesus as quoted in the non-canonical Gospel of Thomas.
Thanks for sharing.
Listen to White as Snow U2?
check out enya's version of this..
Haha!! I tried looking everywhere for this! It's NOWHERE in the scriptures. Just some "New Age" thing I guess. Lousy video, but awesome song though :)
I was wondering what paraphrase of the Bible you were quoting in the video...can you tell me? The words that are ascribed to Jesus there do not strike me as familiar.
Which words do you mean?
Lightmare7: Neither of those sayings are from the Bible. The first saying is from Tolstoy, and the second from the "Gospel of Thomas" which is not in the Bible.
"The original songs is hungarian from Zoltán Kodály"
Jesus Christ was Hungarian.
The catholics are the ones that decided what "books" to put in what was to be known as the bible. When the councils chose what to allow, more than once, the catholic church was doing things that were against the very teachings in the books they chose to allow and discard as heresy. All I know is, the living Creator made sure His message was passed down...
nao e ma mas nao gosto muito de fado
WHEN DID JESUS EVER SAY THAT?
They never specified which Jesus.
Boohoohoo th
Jesus never said any of those phrases. The guy who made this video smoked a good one.
Very nice lay-out & presentation. And the singer has a beautiful voice. The only two detractors are her terrible mispronunciation of the Latin words, and the very poor English paraphrase of Scripture. Of course, most people today don't study Latin, nor do they know enough Bible to fit in a teaspoon. All they see is pretty pictures and hear a sweet voice. But if you really want to "minister" to people, you ought to give them the best and the purest. Don't just tickle their ears and flutter their emotions, reach to the need of their eternal souls that only which can satisfy it: The Lord Jesus Christ! But other than these two issues, you have the ground-work for a great video.
The first quote in O Come O Come Emmanuel is not found in Scripture, Yeshua never said it, thus you have no business attributing it to Him! The second quote isn't from John 4, rather it's from 1 John 4! Please check your facts before you post stuff.
