@Saboteamos "you're the baddies and we hate you" .... I think is a product of french being their 1st language AND they are serious and silly at the same time.
Don't we all know the dangers of two conflicting viewpoints. An active troublemaker, banning the flame of dissent, so much aggrivation. To all haters: we'll create some rules to stop you. You're a danger, you really shouldn't be allowed to. They piss on morality, they detest humanity. Those savages should be banned, they're so deeply offensive, somebody should ban them. What they'll profit, they'll still be full of their damned shit. But it's handy, we'll blame it on human nature.
The lyrical content only becomes better with time.
Stereolab is proof that the English and French CAN work together and do great things!
Errr..........Concorde !
yup
CAN
The hunger of my obsession, for Stereolab , knows no bounds .
I've been listening to this song nonstop for three hours now.
You have no idea how this is a time capsule for me. LOVE!!! x
This whole record is fucking crazy
One of the most distinctive bands to emerge since the 1960s. Their sound is so retro ..this has a Bacharach feel. Love it.
Alas, Stereolab never enjoyed quite the same mainstream popularity and commercial success as Bacharach.
Bloody brilliant song! The vocal melodies on second part are absolutely heavenly but the words are super harsh. I adore this sharp contrast.
I'll be dancing to this song in 2050.
@MyNameIsNeutron RIP Mary Hansen. Australia (and America and Europe) misses you.
Music with meaning!
懐かしいな。dotと、このアルバム好きです。
The 2nd bit is the best!
I like the first bit because it puts me in the frame of Billy Paul "me and Mrs. Jones"
Yes, I read Bossa, Can and a French appeal. So lovely, always blurring hard feelings, so neat
Flashbacks galore....

probablement la plus envoûtante de ce merveilleux Cobra!
@dukeofearl2005 This is on Oscillions, but it was also a B-side of The Free Design, the single from CoBrA.
My fav! ♡
1 of my favs here..
Maybe we should ban hate and violence?
lovely.
beautiful
loveeeee it!!!
"All this violence is puzzling, maybe the law should intervene" She needs to sing this verse down at City Hall in Chicago.
I'm still angry at Pitchfork for giving Cobra a scathing review.
@goniochromism a great song
@AbbeyRoadkill1 Not to mention the English and the Australians.
@Saboteamos : "expert"
@IncanPete Actually, they're mostly English, but Laetitia, who wrote the lyrics, is French.
Mary is Australian.
@@Stargrazer And Morgane at this time in the band is French too. Tim is Irish, not English but Simon, the bassist is English.
completely influenced by bossa nova
Is this song a bonus on the album or I have a bad disk?
It's a track off the "Free Design" EP
Storageheater thanks man!
You can find this song in the compilation, "Oscillons from the Anti-sun"
In the japanese edition this is one of the four (!) bonus tracks. The other three are fantastic too.
