    Thank you Eileen. What i love about you , you know so much about the emotional side of this phase . I don't know anyone else on youtube that gives this much in sight into the cognitive issues experienced. I think anxiety must be one of rhe biggest issues surrounding it. You always give me reassurance.

    Yes, I do a deep breathing everyday, I'm doing 10 mins. Streching in the morning, 30 mins.walk at night, and the best thing I do is to watch funny movies and it makes me laugh. I also make myself busy playing with my puppy shih tzu it's stress-free also. Yes talking to a friends and "me time" can help a lot and listening to a praise and worship songs can much lighten. Thank you very much for your excellent advices. I'm always looking forward to your next videos. Take care😊😊😊...

    I write things down to get them out of my head. Plus deep breathing through my nose all the way in all the way out. I had to have tooth out the other week I am not good at the dentist, two nights no sleep did not help but deep breathing did also my system when stressed stops wanting food so I am the opposite to most people but I have learnt ignore food keep drinking and I just about cope a few crying fits yes even in my 40s but in the end all sorted.

    I get terribly unwell when I stress even for slightest things. I wake up 3am and can’t get back to sleep for hours then my flushing is bad and sweaty palms. I start to curl up clinging to myself cos of anxiety it’s horrible. My doctor suggests to go on low dose ssri but I’m reluctant. Don’t have many friends or support which gets me down.

    • @AvogelCoUk

      You’re welcome.
      I would suggest an amino acid chelated magnesium such as magnesium glycinate - your local health shop should be able to help with this.

    I have been under tremendous fight or flight stress due to an ongoing situation for 13 yrs. I started menopause 6 yrs ago. Recently I began suffering from idiopathic gastroperisis. Do you think this could be associated with menopause combined with the ongoing stress? I cannot find any answers and frankly doctors have been no help. I live in the United States and main stream medicine just doesn't offer a lot of help. Thank you for any thoughts you may have on this.

    • @AvogelCoUk
      @AvogelCoUk  Před 4 lety +1

      Stress can have a very quick impact on the digestion; once you enter ‘flight or fight’ mode your digestion immediately shuts down. If this goes on and on then the production of a hormone called Gastrin (which opens the lower stomach valve) can decrease which means that the stomach will have difficulty in emptying - food can be left in the stomach for a long time which can then result in bloating, wind, acid reflux and indigestion. This situation can be exacerbated by the menopause as digestive juices can be affected further. You may find a herb called Centaury ( Centaurium umbellatum) can be of benefit as this is know to help improve the production of Gastrin thus aiding stomach emptying. I am not sure if you can get this from Bioforce USA but you could ask your local herb store if they do the herb in any form - this needs to be taken before each meal for best benefit and I would suggest trying it for at least 2-3 months.
      Other things you need to do to help stomach function is to chew each mouthful at least 20 times and eat slowly; sit up well to allow the stomach to work properly and don’t drink with food as this will dilute any gastric juices in the stomach making things worse.
      Do let me know how you get on. www.avogel.co.uk/herbal-remedies/centaurium-centaury/

      @@AvogelCoUk Thank you so much for all of this information. I am going today to see is any herb store in my area has anything with that ingredient. If not I will order it online. I am so grateful for your time and for the info I didn't have before. I had always wondered if menopause combined with the the stress I have been under could be part of the problem. I am excited about trying this new herb. I will give it some time and will definitely post what my progress is!! Thank you again so much for your time. I really love your videos. I have learned so much about how to help with symptoms of menopause and you have helped my journey to be much easier than it would have been. 😊

    Can magnesium glycinate cause symptoms?
    I have been taking 200mg with my dinner for two months. Helps with sleep and anxiety but noticed lately I have been getting very dizzy in the mornings and diarrhea. A week ago I lowered it to 100mg and still having issues. Could it be that my body doesn’t need the extra supplement and I’m getting enough in my food ?
    Please let me know any insight yu have

    • @AvogelCoUk
      @AvogelCoUk  Před rokem

      Some people do react to certain types of magnesium and too much can cause diarrhoea. You may find a gentle magnesium tonic better, if you are in the UK or Ireland a company called Salus Haus do a good one.

    The magnesium does seem to help some, but the one I use can cause loose bowels (magnesium citrate). Also, I know dark chocolate has it and I like that too but dark chocolate it also have some caffeine. should it be avoided?

    • @AvogelCoUk
      @AvogelCoUk  Před 4 lety

      A very small amount of dark chocolate can be helpful but there are lots of foods containing magnesium such as nuts and seeds, dried fruits, dark green leafy veg, beans and pulses and most fruits.

    I am perimenopausal without any terrible symptoms then I had an emergency surgery for my eye & since then have had terrible bouts of anxiety with loose stools & diarrhea & weight loss. I am struggling very badly with wondering how to gain weight back. Many tests & doctor visits are happening but they have not found anything that is health related. Can this be a complication of menopause? Everywhere else mentions weight gain not weight loss. Thank for any insight.

    • @AvogelCoUk
      @AvogelCoUk  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Sue
      We do know that any kind of physical and/or emotional trauma can have a huge and swift effect on menopause symptoms. This is often due to the nervous system being overwhelmed and unable to bounce back. This can also cause
      issues with the digestion too.
      I would suggest the herb Maca as this can be really effective for supporting the nervous system and easing anxiety; go for liquid or a capsule.
      Although not so common, some women do lose weight as the metabolism can change especially with anxiety. I would suggest adding in a protein powder shake every day which should help to build you back up.

      Unfortunately, we can't send to the Philippines at the moment, sorry. I would suggest going to your local herb store as they are bound to have herbs that will give similar benefits to the ones we have here in the UK.
