- It was pleasure taking wifey and my beautiful daughter to my home town Annandale, showing them the place I grew up, went to school, and created so many beautiful memories. Annandale will always be a special place in my heart because it is where my parents started their love story and where I was born. The best part of that day was going to the mosque I grew up going to and breaking my fast there. Thank you Denny from @ITSOURLIFEARD for such a memorable trip. I hope you all enjoyed this video, it was a pleasure taking you all along with us.

live on. This generation can never have what we had, they only have technology. When I think back of my childhood days growing up in Guyana with good friends and nice neighbors, I miss it so bad, I feel emotional. I was glad to see Esaam grandparents house.

I went to Annandale Primary School and left Guyana in 1983 when I was 11 yrs old. My family lived on Narine St, at the end next to the little bridge that went over to Courbane Park. It looks so different now. I remember walking down the dam to school. It has a road there now. I hope to visit the old neighborhood one day. I told my mom and sister to watch the video, I'm sure they also enjoyed it. Thank you brother for sharing this video, it also reminded me of my childhood.

Wow this is an amazing tour of Annandale Rocky. This bring back so much memories of my days growing up in Guyana. I see people still park their old cars at the side of the streets and store their old tires at the street corner. It's always great to go back and see old friends and neighbors.

It’s like we’re cousin or something… Hindu dad, Muslim mom… I don’t remember your dad, but I heard he was quite jovial & charismatic. Saddest, I now learned in your video, he died on his wife’s birthday. The same spot I crossed all my high school & 1st 5 years of my work years.
Growing up on Guyana 🇬🇾 was the best, so much wonderful memories, my dad got hit down on that spot on my mom’s birthday and died a few day later, I was only 6 years old, he was the love ❤️ of her life, very sad, have a wonderful week my brother

Great video Rocky. I can hear the nostalgia in your voice! I attended the same high school for a brief period in 1969 from Logwood, Enmore. My brother Teeka and sister Beena attended as well. Ganga Persaud was the headmaster. Samaroo was one of my teachers. Haniff, who I taught with at Enmore Hope eventually became the headmaster. Great memories. A treat for your wife and daughter. Amazing trip to Annandale. Brought back many memories . I grew up in LBI and had many friends there. My friends and I played pools everywhere in Annandale especially Aunty Shop in market street. Premlall shop I think used to be a little bar. Thanks Rocky and family for this video. I went to Guyana 40 years ago and have never been back.

It's always good to revisit the place where you were born after being away for a while. I went back home a few years ago and couldn't recognise my own village every thing changed up the same way!

I enjoyed watching your video and seeing the house in Nkrumah street where I was born and grew up. Our home was next the Sadaree's house. It brought back so many memories see my street people (Jim, Sadaree & Derick/Muggy). I have so many fond memories of everyone there. It is sad though to see that the government has not done anything for the people in that village - any development I saw was those from the residents. It is sad to see the streets I grew up on in such a sad state of disrepair. I hope this current government will do something for the people who has supported them all their lives. Thanks again Robby for sharing this video it reminded me of the good old time growing up with your uncles, aunts Fazila & Golo as well as your cousins Monto, Nadeem, etc and grand mother. Everyone in that street lived like one big family.

Hi Rocky, my husband and u are watching your video all the way from Barbados, and I I've noticed that the street where you grew up in my Dad who is 58 years old grew up there also.... They go by the name of Chinee, they are Afro Guyanese but they go by the name of Chinee, very popular. Well my Dad's name is Eldon, he is one of the twin Eldon and Elroy, they're 6 brothers and 1 daughter... I'm sure you are familiar with them... My great grandfather name was Chadar.
