    Your progress in face painting really does depend on how much line work practice you put in. Great face painting consists of clean defined tear drops and line work so it is paramount that when starting your face painting journey.
    In this face painting class I will take you through the most common brush strokes and tear drops that are used in face painting.
    We will cover using the tip of our brush as oppose to using the entire bristles to the bottom of the Farrell. We also cover curls and swirls, making stars and more.
    I also show you a few techniques which will help you create beautiful, clean line work.
    Hope you enjoy this face painting classe :-)

    Hi Maria. I’m actually a fairly experienced face painter, and I can paint every kind of curl, swirl and teardrop on a flat stencil … but when I’m painting on a child in front of me, I still have tremendous problems with hand placement, even pressure and balance that keeps my lines pretty. I’ve tried taping the stencil to a wall or refrigerator
    to practice painting at the correct angle, but I make a pretty big mess with a black brush in my hand. ! Any suggestions ? How about a video on how to cope with the curves of a face, or painting when your target is in front of you, rather than on a table? Thanks for your input, I love your realistic style of painting .

      Hi Barbie, thanks so much for commenting. Yes i understand your dilemma. I find that leaning my pinky finger on a part of a childs face allows me to keep a firm hand and control over pressure which im applying to the brush. Hope this helps and yes i will make a video on explaining this ❤️💕🧚‍♀️🦄

    I definately need a liner brush to try those very thin swirls.. the smaller the brush the better for me as new to face painting.. I'm persevering with the 3/4 angled brush and it's way too big for me and using them in split cakes for me is so difficult, paint either too wet or dry I can't win.. but I'm keeping going.. good video thanks

      Keep practicing Karen, it takes getting used to the 3/4 inch flat brushes. Time will give you more confidence and control over the paint consistency xx

      @@letspaintfacepainting thanks so much, i watch many of your videos, agree. Currently i am using a tag pearlised split cake, but its not defined enough, i will keep practicing and maybe go down to the 1/2 inch brush, i think for me its angling the brush correctly, as sometimes i get it right ! :)

    So tell me why I can't get a decent teardrop from a so-called teardrop brush, but ace it when I use a small, squarish-tipped brush. At least I found something that worked for me.

      It also depends on how loaded your brush is, i say do what works for you 🤩✨💕

    What kind of brush is being used?

    • @letspaintfacepainting
      @letspaintfacepainting  Před 5 lety

      Hi Colleen, thanks for getting in touch. I mainly use a mixture of one inch flat brushes. Numbers 6,4 and 2 round brushes. It’s best that you buy proper face painting brushes from your local face paint store, they have more bristles and helps hold more paint on them. Hope this helps 😊🌸💖
