I went there to visit Mexico in 2015, the beach is different from any other beach In Texas, we are planning to go there again soon.

Wow, I was born in Texas and have lived here all my life and had no idea that S. Padre was this nice. I almost feel ashamed not knowing this as I have traveled all over the world and never knew right here in my home state they actually have a nice decent beach, I just assumed it was like Galveston and after visiting the Caribbean many times, I honestly did not have any intent on going to any Texas beaches, but thanks to Corona I have changed my thinking. This footage has sold me on S. Padre. I hope I can book a quick weekend getaway before Summer is over.
It's not as nice as the Caribbean beaches or water, but it's still a nice place to visit that's close. Thank you for watching!
Yep! I could talk for days telling you the most amazing stories about this place! I grew up in Houston but have been coming here my whole life. My college roommate and brotha from anotha motha moved here sophomore year so I spent entire summers in this crazy place. Best times I ever had. Once you go you will keep coming back
I am from the area and waters are never this green/clearâŠ.. either video editing or a rare occurrence.
Same here, born and raised in Texas and have been all over the state, Florida, the Bahamas, Jamaica etc but never even thought about Padre in my 33 years until my brother went there and said it was amazing. My wife and I now have a 4 night beach vacay booked there in May at a resort, and a deep sea fishing trip scheduled. It is....ALOT less expensive than other beach vacations. We live in Amarillo (the most northern part of the state) so that is about a 15 hour drive so we are obviously flying. $1,600 combined for round trip flights, a rental car, and 4 nights at a resort with a beach bar. $1,600 for two people total. Insane.
â@@martins.7175The waters are actually almost always this clear. It's all about the angle/perspective. A birds eye view is completely different than looking from the beach.

I never been to Padre island but from the drone footage, and videos it's a really beautiful place, and the water is beautiful similar to Florida beaches

@@DizzyDrone MAN REALLY SERIOUSLY ? IVE BEEN 2 FLORIDA BEACHES & THE BLUE TURQUOISE S.PADRE WATER IZ AS NICE AS ANY OF THEM. EVEN BEACHES IN FLORIDA HAVE THEIR DAY WHERE THE WATER DOESNT EVEN LOOK NEARLY AS NICE AS IT NORMALLY DOES.

Currently watching this the day before we leave to go to South Padre Island because we live in college it will take a day to get there

Daniel S we like to eat at The Painted Marlin. Great sunsets there. Cafe On The Beach is a nice place to have lunch. Pier 19 for breakfast. Lobo Del Mar Cafe is a fun place with live music.

@@DizzyDrone I only saw whataburger and McDonald's open and some restaurants closed couldn't remember the names though, they also had one side of beach closed
Had tons of fun though, it was also packed with people
Obs sometimes it can get very crowded! Especially on the Main Street. We take our beach cruisers and can get around quicker

I'm just a country bumpkin from Ohio and I moved to Houston for a little while back in 2015. I was a DirecTv technician and had to go to this Island for a service call. They said I had to take a ferry though...My country self said "Wait wait wait so you want me to drive my entire van on this boat?" My supervisor was like yes!! I said "The whole thing?" đđ

I love it there because we revealed the gender of my baby sister there and we stayed at the Marriott Courtyard definitely recommend it there
