If you don't see how that might disrupt team harmony, then I can't help you anymore. As for Gosens - guy barely played this season, didn't even get 1/5th of his possible game time. I wouldn't call this 'doing well' at all.

What's all this Richarlison bashing? Hes had injuries, had scored 6goals in 7 games for Brazil recently and equally has "functionality". If Pedro (Flamengo) was the reason why Roberto Firmino wasn't in the World Cup squad, then Neymar could have never played for Brazil.
@@IGG2002 Ok. I'm looking at it from a "positional" perspective. Pedro and Firmino share the same role more or less. Pedro being a traditional no9 while Firmino is more like a "false" no 9. Neymar is more like a winger but is earmarked by Tite as no 10 with roving duties now that Coutinho is out of the picture. Besides you must noticed Brazil has 3 center forwards: Richarlison, Gabriel Jesus and Pedro with Richarlison as the most likely starter at the attack. Having 4 no 9s would likely have been one too many except if Firmino had been included in the squad as a no. 10 with Paqueta and Everton Ribeiro already filling that role. It was either Pedro or Firmino. Tite made his choice.

For anyone wondering, Richarlson was picked for his speed, height, and aerial ability. It gives Brazil another depth that makes them more complete than with Firmino, who regardless of PL performances this season, is aging. A mid-season WC isn't realistic when he's been stretched too much at his club already. Tite's decision is layered, but most importantly, correct.
