- I just got my very own blue velvet Dumbloid 'B' and I wanted to show y'all some of what it can do. This is a quick and dirty demo of one of the the best overdrive pedals in the world right now. I'm just an average joe, goofing off and showing you a glimpse of what is possible with this amazing pedal!

I'm listening with headphones, and I hear a crackle in the top end. Would you say that's present on all settings of the pedal? Thanks for showing this video!
Hey there, yeah, so I doubt that’s the pedal. The crackle could’ve been anything from old tubes to mic pre issues. It was several years ago and I don’t even have any of that amp or recording equipment anymore.
These days I’m running a Yamaha THR100HD for live and studio work and it’s creamy smooth. Still loving this pedal! It’s certainly pricey, but I’ve tried few different clones and they just don’t have the sweetness of the Dumbloid.

@@AdamLayneFisher the Yamaha 100hd is the best modeler and overlooked as well on the market. I have the others snd there just not as good re feel and sound. Plus, comes with a footswitch. Two amps going at the same time. It’s great. And comes with its own power supply unlike the helix and quad cortex and some others.
Nice demo!!! So the bost is to add more gain or more volume?? Is it after the overdrive? And what kind of bost is??

Sounds vocal like a wah is left on.
yeah man, I believe that has to do with the pre-drive EQ thing that gives you the "Dumble" sound------ to my ears, that's what makes it sound so sweet on the lead riffs

To each his own bro. My pick for a budget pedal with similar features is the Fulltone FullDrive 3.

Believe me, wish I had one! I came from a time when you could buy a great amp for that much money...
I don't know how things ever got so outta hand. The Fulltone is so much more reasonably priced, and probably near as good.. I have several of his pedals and am satisfied with them all. Heck, I splurged on a Landgraff, and still feel rather silly for doing it! But it is a pretty cool pedal, for $400+!!
Oh well. Talk about 'pay to play'.....
The Dumbloid sounds great. No doubt about that.

I'll keep that in mind Tony! I'm actually testing a Dumbloid clone from Built By Ryan.... it's pretty stinkin' close, but there's just something that's not quite as "sweet" sounding. Perhaps it's some snake-oil in one of the tone caps of Shin's. LOL

Wow.. You have some very nice friends! That Dumbloid still has my attention. That fat, rich tone..... I can only imagine how it feels in your hands. I've heard all the other 'clones', and they just don't seem to get there.. A couple get close, but not quite there. This thing sounds good even when you roll the gain all the way back! I live in New Orleans. We don't see very much boutique stuff around here, sad to say. Just about everything I own, I had to order.... Same with most of my friends, who are serious about their rigs... I'm hoping I get the pleasure of owning one of these some day soon. Because it's pretty safe to say, I won't be buying a Dumble amp! Not in this lifetime.....

True, true, no doubt about that bro. Me? I'm more of a XActTS Precision Multi-Drive type of application, for some harder stuff, edging between hard and heavy (more hard tbh). Also, I am playing some boutique MP Custom FX stuff which nicely complements my gain staging as well.
What I wanted to say previously is that Dumbloid OS is too "mid intensive" for my taste @least in your video. In any case, no disrespect meant bro! Respect!
P.S. In my opinion, the best OD out there is Analog Man KOT.
Well there you go! Dumble style overdrive doesn't really sit well with high-gain stuff. I totally get it man. KOT rules. Need to figure out what gear to sell to get one!! 🤘 (I think I'll edit the bio on the vid to be a bit more "fair")
