- So #DragonBallSuper was a little bit of a mixed bag. There were good parts of it but there were also not so good parts...what to do? Well #whatif Haverok and I had a chance to fix parts of the Dragon Ball experience and show how we would do things with Goku, Vegeta and the rest of the cast! #DragonBallZ

@@mmgamer0608 Not...quite. Because it isn't just Goku that's canon in this story...it's the Saiyans themselves. They replace Krypton. Also, Vegeta's place in this story? He, Nappa, and Raditz were rescued...by a follower of Darkseid.

If I rewrote Super.....Instead of Gohan peaking he would be training. Kakarot would have done a tad bit better in the fight with Beerus. And Android 17 and fam would have been seen more
Don't make him super saiyan God. The form wouldn't be special if anyone could just be a god level of power.

I make the humans relevant again (including Yamcha) and Piccolo and make Goku keep his Z and GT personality. (i know GT is non cannon)

Funfact: Gt being noncanon is just a myth, Toei or toriyama never came out and stated it to be, so OFFICIALLY super is just full of plotholes, contradicting a previously established series

Never let go of bad guy that was actually a threat to him anymore and hasn't tried that since Freeza and Superman and Batman do that all the time and they're still considered superheroes. What I would change:
1: Give Goku back his personality that he had in Z/GT
2: Give side characters more importance like Whis training them maybe not as intense as Goku and Vegeta but enough that they're not useless
3: Gohan trains more he has reason to now more then ever having Videl and Pan to protect
4: Future Trunks stays in the current timeline not wanting to mess with dementions anymore and he can take Frieza's place in the tournament of power

So it's around the start of the preparation for the U6 tournament.
Goku has the idea to go ask this universe's Supreme Kai if he knows anyone strong.
He teleports in, and Shin is sitting with an unknown Kai with a green face, drinking tea (as the heavenly figures do).
Goku: Hey, supreme Kai, I came to ask you for some help-
"Green Kai": Who dares approach?
Goku: Whoa, who's that? You didn't tell me there were other Supreme Kais!
*Green Kai stands up, and seems to be taking a fighting stance. Shin signals him to stop. He does so*
Shin: *sigh* Probably should've introduced you two sooner. Goku, meet Zamasu. Zamasu, Goku.
Goku: Zamasu, huh. Cool name.
Zamasu: *to Shin* A friend of yours?
*Shin nods*
*To Goku* I apologise. Yes, that is my name, *smirk* as the soon-to-be Supreme Kai.
Goku: *to Shin* What, you're retiring?!
Shin: No, nonono. Zamsu's from the tenth Universe. Apprentice of that Universe's current Supreme Kai Gowasu.
Zamasu: *slightly annoyed* You still have not explained your reason for being here.
Goku: Oh, did I not? Sorry,...
*Goku explains what's going on and asks again. Zamasu returns to his tea. Shin unfortunately does not have any recommendations for planets to search, but suggests there's more than enough strong warriors on Earth, including the people he knows personally.*
Goku: well, thanks for the advice I guess.
Shin: Good luck with the tournament.
Goku: *chuckling* I'll try by best. *to Zamasu* Oh, and it was nice to meet you too, Mr... uh, what was it?
Zamasu: *kinda tired of Goku yappering on, wanting some peace and quiet* ZAMASU

1. Make all human z fighter including Yamcha relevant
2. Give all the human fighters (except tien and chaiotzu) access to kaioken .
3. Have piccolo meet up with and fuse with the original king piccolo
4. Upon piccolo fusing with the original king piccolo he would then have access to a dragon type transformation that only he could use
5. Give future trunks and vegeta ssj3. Future trunks can still have ssjrage but ssj3 should be accessible to him before that form
6. Introduce android 17 and his family earlier
7. Have 17 and piccolo as regular sparring partners
8. Have gohan be the best of both worlds. He can remain a scholar and family man while regularly training.This would be away of making the half saiyan relevant and powerful
9. Have future trunks stay in the regular timeline with mai. The black goku arc can still play out the same way it did except that this time trunks and mai decides to stay in the present timeline
10. Have gohan train with future trunks as a call back to future gohan training kid future trunks. Have them train regularly in either the time chamber or the kais world so that they can also pick up on new techniques.
11.have tien and chaiotzu master roshi utilize even more techniques
12. Make tiens eyes relevant by granting him the ability of slight precognitoon
13. Have buu be more relevant
14. Have goku and veget decide to no longer train with whis. And have them focus on training each other and training with kid trunks and goten
15. Have krillin train with his wife 18 regularly

How to fix Super:
1) Allow Goku to have the balance of goofiness and seriousness that he had in Z
2) Retcon SSJB and allow Goku/Vegeta to master God Ki in base red form. The design of SSJG feels more original than Blue.
2.5) Let us see Goku/Vegeta train to perfect SSJG. One of my favorite aspects of Z is watching Goku and Gohan perfect the original SSJ and stay in that form.
3) Emphasis on giving side characters relevance and screentime. Either let Gohan balance his training with family and return to form as a fighter or let him work for Bulma at capture Corp as her potential successor (Gohan becomes the Tony Stark of Dragonball)
4) Make the Universe 6 Saiyans already knows about SSJ (and have Universe 7 teach them the higher forms) or give them compelling character moments to transform into SSJ (no tingling/Midichlorians count explanation)
5) Make Freiza's power jump believable. A few months of training doesn't explain the sudden burst of power: I want to see evidence that he was training for years to exact his revenge out of sheer frustration.
6) Ultra Instinct should've been the climax of ToP and it shouldn't be perfect until the next arc. I like the unreliability factor: keep it going. Make us guess how Goku will figure it out so there's intrigue for next arc. And it gives Goku this time to master God ki.
7) There should've been a larger time skip between Z and Super (yes, I realize this impacts the films, but I think that could've been retconned). Maybe not GT long, but I wanted to see evidence of progression with our characters, that things have changed since Z. Especially if it means an older Goten/Trunks that could've done more (a la Teen Gohan). It would've also meant new designs for side characters while Goku and Vegeta are still recognizable, being Sayians who barely age.
8) Fix Jiren's character and backstory. He needs to be more compelling and interesting. Otherwise, Toppo or even Hit could've filled Jiren's role, if not one of the Universe 6 Sayians
9) Fix the conclusion of the Goku Black Arc. I feel like invoking Zeno to Deus Ex Machina everything was a little cheap: there could have been a more fitting and clever solution to defeating Zamasu. If the Z fighters aren't the ones to defeat Zamasu, what's the point of the arc to begin with, unless Future Trunks decides to stay in the present forever.
10) Only let the weakest universes fight in the ToP. This does two things: it allows us to know there are stronger combatants in stronger universes out there that could serve future storylines and it gives an excuse for us to see other universe's down the road too. It also helps with power scaling, knowing that Goku still hasn't fought the strongest yet while invoking a sense of suspense and mystery.

Nightblade370 I really like most if not all of your ideas. Regarding #8, I think a Toppo would have made a decent main antagonist and rival for Goku in the ToP arc if he was slightly less eccentric and goofy.

If I rewrote Super I would do this. 1. I would have let Gohan keep training I would have make it like the manga 2.Goku used SS3 on Android 17 bc it makes no sense that he wasn’t going full power and he was on that level but he and Gohan couldn’t do anything to Toppo. 3. I would have make less filler or no filler like you said MasakoX. 4. Would have let Future Trunks stayed because he timeline is done the Universal doesn’t exist. 5. And everything you said

why? one of the best things about battle of gods is how goku lose and wasn't even close to berrus, giving him a new goal to surpass, the anime and manga version ruined this momment.

I would’ve enjoyed seeing the Saiyans exploring god ki, including Vegeta accessing it the first time on-screen, and figuring out the abilities that came with it. Like how they did with Kaioken back in the day.
Having the “minor” characters more chances to shine would’ve been pretty cool. Tien and Krillin, especially. They may be warriors but they’re also used to swinging outside of their weight class, so you’d think they would’ve come up with more tactics and lasted longer.
Give Goku his brain back.
Cement the memory of the Buu Saga and have Vegeta and Goku used to and comfortable with fighting together. We saw a little bit of that when they fought Broly, and it was one of my favorite parts of the whole movie.

The idea of Zamasu being revealed as evil after being Shins friend for so long would been heartbreaking plot twist.
Imagine if he was looked up too by the Kais as one who would make an excellent Successor, only for him to be revealed as corrupted.

edit: Zamasu could've had a profound mention of Mortals constantly destroying themselves, attempting to reach gods, or become them, of their Greed, Slothfulness at times on helping their fellows, and lack of regard for others. He could've a philosophical character who, when seeing Goku in front of him, besting him, fears he'd witnessed a mortal finally succeed in defeating a god. Thus, granting him the motivation for the Zero Mortals Plan. They've insulted the gods for the last time.
It be a deeply philosophical arc, but damn, I'd eat it.
Another Edit: Probably can't be done, but now I imagine of Zamasu hearing of Goku's expoits, and it swaying him slightly, but he refuses to surrender, as he's too dedicated and has gone too far to stop now. This can be with either Present or Future Zamasu, but maybe not Goku Black, as maybe the Saiyan body makes him not care anymore.

An interesting change I was thinking about a while ago, what if the Goku black and tournament of power arcs were swapped? That way, Zamasu could be introduced before his main arc, and his characteristics and motivations could be explored more deeply. If he was a part of the top, he would be able to see the power of mortals and the threats they pose, not just from Goku, but from Jiren, Freeza, Toppo, etc. And IMO the experience of being erased along with his entire universe would be a better cause for his insanity and hatred of Goku/mortals, rather than just seeing that Goku is super strong and also some dinosaurs are mean to each other. Swapping these arcs would obviously create other problems with things like ultra instinct that need to be solved, but in terms of strengthening the character of Zamasu I think it would be a legitimately good solution. It would also put less pressure on Jiren as an antagonist, as he wouldn't need to be the final threat the heroes face anymore, so his character could potentially have more room for flexibility and improvement if the arcs were done in that order. I also think Zamasu is a much better candidate for final villain than Jiren, he feels much more evil and proactive compared to Jiren, who's mostly just fighting because of reasons beyond his control (if the top never happened, he never would have been a threat.)
That's brilliant, the only problem I'd have with that is that we'd have the Tournament of Power pretty much immediately after the Universe 6 tournament. Perhaps if we could insert a different arc between those two to break up the pace? Two tournaments in a row just sounds exhausting.
If I rewrote Super, I'd have it take place after Z so there's actually a chance for some tension. The biggest problem was that nothing mattered because we knew everybody is fine at the end of Z.
I'd just keep Goku and Vegeta in their new outfits throughout the entire series rather then inexplicably returning to their Z era clothing

If you drop the Freiza revival saga from the anime and make the other characters besides Goku (Who should still have his original personality from DBZ) more relevant especially Gohan and Majin Buu then that’ll definitely go a long way.
If we’re rewriting Super then King Cold could definitely be in the movie and have Gohan go toe to toe with Freiza in his final form, maybe even use it to set up Cooler as well but it shouldn’t be in the anime.
No the movie wouldn’t involve him but set him up and maybe mention his numerous exploits while both his father and brother were six feet under, he should also be around a Broly level threat in his final form.

No what i meant is scrap zamasu COMPLETLY. And just make it GOTEN from another timeline whos fed up being „ goku jr“ and after training he becomes evil. Witch gokus reach to kaioshob sama goten would be capable to get his hands on the potara earrings. He Could go to truknses timeline and start there hus „ carving out my own legacy „ plan bye almost destroying humanity. Witch makes 1 million times more sense then „ zamasu is lazy“. Then when Gonu and party show up in comes to the clash of adult goten and goku. Goku realizing his own failure as a father createt this version kf Goten.
How I fix Super simple:
-I keep everyone personnality from the End of Z and evolve them from there.
-I keep the two first saga but I add more focus on side character to develop them
-I don't reveal whis ability to rewind time and instead keep it for the Zamasu story
-Thus earth is destroyed, thus the earth Z warrior have something at stakes for the Champa tournament.
-During said tournament I made Univers 10 with Zamasu who is friend with Shin being there as witness and mediator to this tournament.
-I made clear that Mirai Trunks is the protagonist of his own saga and win against Zamasu and I put in there training session with Goku and Vegeta explaining why he can Genkidama.
-Then for the Tournament of Power I work better the antagonist that each universe as to each others.
What about replacing freeza with cooler and making cooler like a cold calculating dictator with a legion of saiyans and super namekians (that know about piccolos past) loyal to him. And make Gohan go with trunks to the future where gohan learns more about how great of a hero his future self was to this timeline making him want to be as great as he was and he and trunks work together to beat Zamasu and Black

I agree with the Zamasu thing. Having him come in earlier, and see the worst of all mortals from Freeza, the god-rivaling power they could achieve from Goku, and the (at times) ineptitude of the gods from Beerus and Champa's childish arguing over everything, and having all of that work together to motivate his turn would have been interesting to see. Maybe you could even have Goku Black coming to the main timeline not just to chase Trunks, but also to find this version of Zamasu to be the one to join him in the future.
I have an idea regarding the introduction of Ultra Instinct. You keep most of the events of 109 intact, only change the end so instead the spirit bomb struggle being the cliffhanger you show Goku being swallowed by the black hole. Move onto 110, nobody knows where goku is, nobody can find a body, everyone is confused. Then have the timer tower fall another level to remind everyone that there's still a fight going on. Now, here's the kicker. Save goku's reintroduction until several EPISODES later. Have the tournament move on, more characters get kicked out, maybe one of the U7 fighters. That way when Goku returns it shocks characters and audiences alike. Nobody will have any idea what is happening,and then out of nowhere Beerus stands up and exclaims and it can make his line so much better. "He's coming" and BOOM Ultra Instinct. After weeks of waiting Goku is finally back and he's ready to kick some alien ass. If Toei would stop being cowards and put Dragon Ball's poster boy in the background for two seconds it could've changed the way the entire Tournament of Power went down. I've always been an advocate that the TOP could've been really great, and this could have been the start of a very engaging ending for this show

1) Gohan finally becomes a strong and smart Z fighter
2) Goku acts more like his GT self. You know...tactful, mature, keen.
3) Vegeta and Goku would team up more like they did against Kid Buu.
4) Gohan finally becomes a strong and smart Z fighter
5) NO MORE FREEZA! He has been done to death in the series, movies, and re-runs.
6) Majin Buu is actually worth a damn.
7) Gohan finally becomes a strong and smart Z fighter.
8) Super Saiyan God gets a bit more use.
9) Super Saiyan Blue gets introduced in the Goku Black Arc
10) Gohan....gains Ultra Instinct as the next logical step up from his Ultimate power.
11) All Z fighters continue to train on the regular, instead of counting on the 'A-team' to save their asses all the time.

Amazing how just a few changes and rewrites can vastly improve Super and GT so much.
My Super rewrite would be reordered as Battle of Gods, 6 vs 7 tournament, Resurrection F, TOP, and lastly Zamasu. I feel the arcs would flow into each other better this way. Other changes being Gohan is still Great Saiyaman and relatively as strong as his Buy saga self, having him like this would make him a bit more enjoyable all around with super hero antics. Having Zamasu become evil after the TOP would probably make his fall better and more believable. Also I would make the red form Saiyan God and the blue form Super Saiyan God to keep the names from getting so long.
Darian Hendrickson where and when, do you think, would the Broly and Moro sagas fit in to your rewrite of Super? And would Cooler be a better choice for the Broly arc or the Resurrection F arc if he wanted be show up the moment Frieza gets revived and decide to train with him (them maybe gaining their fifth forms or beyond while attaining their own shiny forms like Frieza having the Silver form and Cooler having the Golden form indicating that Cooler is stronger than Frieza)?
@@The_IRE_Emeatzer Personally I would want Cooler to replace Frieza in super just because Frieza got to shine in Z so having Cooler around in super would be pretty nice, he could have his 5th as a replacement for gold in the arc and possibly gain a golden or meta transformation later in the series. As for Broly and Moro I think having Moro after Zamasu would work then having Broly after that, but having them before Zamasu could also work pretty well so I'm not sure what I'd prefer there.
Things I would do if I rewrite super
1.Goku the same personally as his GT and Z self
2. Keep Frost good
3. Give new information about SSB form
4. Make side characters more important (maybe bring Launch back)
5. Covers plot hole
6. Keep Goku and Vegeta new clothes for all seasons
7. Give small monument to see ultra instinct through out the show
8. Replace Frieza with Cooler (with new design)
9. Have both Goku and Vegeta have to give up the SSB form when series end
10. Rewrite Goku black saga
11. Gohan continue training

First thing on the list of rewriting dbs is to either completely remove gohan or fix him and give him a good role in the show
1. Goku and Vegeta only has access to SSJG against Golden Frieza, but they both mastered it. They don't get SSJB till their time in the Time Chamber.
2. We see Gohan's growth on-screen have him involved in the U6 vs U7 Tournament, we see Gohan get his Ultimate Form back again helping Future Trunks against Goku Black and Zamasu, and with all of this hard work Gohan has been doing. Gohan becoming U7 Team Captain would feel justified maybe both Gohan and Piccolo gather the U7 Team, and just have Goku and Vegeta training together/hanging with their families during those 48 hours.
3. Have a hint towards Potential Unleashed and Orange Piccolo for Piccolo after hearing Gohan want to get stronger his own way, and Piccolo wanting to do the same way.
4. Introduce Zamasu earlier showing a hint towards his problems with mortals.
5. Give Jiren more backstory and more personality like in the Manga version.
6. Have a more balance Goku's personality then just a silly/forgetful/stupid Goku.

I had just rewatched the GT What If yesterday on a whim. What fun timing.
I know one thing that annoyed me was the fact that nothing was done with Goten and Trunks AT ALL. Yes, kid Trunks had his moments with Future Trunks and the fact he was becoming a big brother, but they really had no maturity in the series.
They were built up during the Buu saga as being the best chance to beat Fat Buu after Goku's time back on Earth was over. They were given the unique fusion dance technique, allowing them to become one of the most powerful characters in the arc. I mean, after the Buu arc finshed, we had some strong characters. They could have continued to get stronger (with their dads) and they could have gotten the chance to shine against Frieza before Vegeta and Goku came back to Earth.
If they decided to keep Future Trunks and Mai in the current timeline, he could have been also more useful as a powerful fighter in Tien's place.

If I could rewrite super, I would definitely fix the flaws that Masako constantly complains about (rehashing Z plot lines and refusing to advance the character of pretty much anybody). I would also add an arc with Krillin stepping in as the master of the Turtle School and make Master Roshi into Grandmaster Roshi. Think about it. Hercule has made martial arts popular again by saving the world from Cell. But he also refuses to train any real martial artists because he's afraid that somebody will realize he's a fraud. There should be dozens of truly talented martial artists desperately searching for a proper teacher right now. It is completely reasonable to expect somebody to track down Roshi. And it makes sense for him to take in students. Remember, he turned away students in Dragonball because of his trauma regarding his old school, but at this point he has contributed to the training of every human warrior capable of defending Earth and even a couple of the non-humans. Clearly, his teachings are valuable. But at the same time, he needs to pass on the mantle. Who better than Krillin to become the new master of the turtle school? Yamcha is a disappointment, Tien is always doing his own thing, and Goku is a martial arts slut: constantly hooking up with anybody who can satisfy his martial arts lust. Krillin is the only one who has stayed devoted to the turtle school while also not being Yamcha. He could also use the confidence boost, considering the fact that he keeps getting upstaged by aliens and cyborgs. Also, adding new martial artists would provide a way to revisit the show's roots while still showing off how strong the main characters are.
I would change a lot of Super.
1- Get rid of the red SSG form and the whole SSGSS/SSB crap. I would just make the god form base looks with a blue white aura and call the SSB form SSG.
2- Show Freeze training, involving some strange method that needed some of his men that also boosted their power. Makes it easier to accept that he got so stronger on half a year.
3- Get rid of the laser take down of Goku or give a pretty reason for it. Say it was Freeze that did when Goku powered down and was off guard. Or that laser was made to pierce Goku natural defenses or it was powered with Freezas ki.
4- Have Whisk shares training tips with the rest of the Z warriors. Pretty sure training advice from an angel would help anyone grow greatly as a fighter.
5- Retcon the entire ToP arc, all of it.
6- Change the whole bit about body reacts of its own cause that has been thing since the days of DB. I would go with them being more in sync with their power, focused to a higher level and all.
7- Show Caulifa and Kale pasts in which they went SS but don't remember. The tingle back thing was BS.

Goku showed respect to gohan in the tournament he made the him the captain. They fought side-by-side several times Goku punched a robot cuz he said he couldn't stand there and watch Gohan get hit at least in the Japanese. And stated he was proud of Gohan when Gohan got knocked out. So he does show him some respect as well as the fact that he goes all out on Gohan before the tournament on Gohan's request which shows Goku does have deeper feelings for his sons then his friends because Gokus always holding back against his sons cuz he loves them. Doesn't hold back against his friends
I would've had Goku evolve his God form rather than discovering blue. Same with Vegeta who by the end would have a god evolution form.
I think I would have still had blue but have god be used more like it was in the movie. The main issue with Blue was simply that it was overused and it always seemed to get power creeped in some way. What if Blue by itself was more straining than God initially and then we would have a kind of arc where Goku and Vegeta mastered it like Super Saiyan. Goku still splits off at Ultra Instinct and eventually stops using the form entirely, while Vegeta chooses to evolve it and fully internalize God. He can still go Blue Evolution, but can now access the same amount of power as Blue in his normal Super Saiyan. Blue Evolution stays blue because it's pushing god Ki into every muscle of his body and basically replacing that feeling of God Ki with actual God Ki. Goku would still use Blue the normal way and would advance Kaioken for awhile. Though he would instead transition into mastering Ultra Instinct. Leaving him no real reason to do the same to his own God Ki since it would likely interfere. Goku would by the end of Z have completely mastered UI and given up his selfish side. Instead taking Uub and Goten under his wing as the End of Z is reanimated with Goku mysteriously having Silver eyes instead of his normal.

When it comes to the whole tournament of power arc and it’s pacing, I think it’s biggest problem was the fact that it was a giant free-for-all. And other tournament arcs even though the head writer had a lot of spontaneity with what was going to happen there was still the backbone of the fact there were still the brackets to follow. There were still some structure.

They should have had zamasu as the u6 kaioshin, and introduced him during the u6 tournament arc, and from there he and u7 kaioshin start maybe talking and zamasu starts learning about u7 from our kai and it rolls out from there.
To me the biggest sin of the Tournament of Power was that it wasn't a free for all like advertised. It was universe 7 vs everyone else. If you look closely have you noticed that no universes were eliminated by anyone other then universe 7?

Okay, so I have been thinking about the Universal Survival-arc and how they could build/make that better. So just throwing my 5 zeni out there:
- Keep the premise the same: Universe loses, it's gets erased
- Reduce the number of warriors for each universe (5 or 6). It gives characters more time to shine and also gets rid of certain useless characters
- 'Introduce' certain characters quicker. I am talking about Paparoni, Pilina & Saonel etc
- Let universes work together (for example against Agnilasa)
- Let that working together be the ultimate goal of the tournament. The Zeno's after all thought the winner would wish back all the universes. If they worked together made bounds, it would be a lot more compelling. Also let the angels be in the known of this plan. Would explain some of the cryptic smiles and looks from them
- Let people from various universes watch/visit the tournament. Same with giving the characters more time, give the universes more time to let us understand what kind of universes they are. Let us give a chance to fall in love with a certain universe (I am looking at you Universe 2)
- And last but not least: let this happen before the Goku Black-arc. Introduce Zamasu here. Let Goku be the one who eliminates the last fighter of Universe 10. This way you not only introduce Zamasu earlier. You also cut away from this GodTube-thing in how Zamasu gets to know the Super Dragon Balls. Also with bounds formed during the Tournament, the stakes would be much higher with Zamasu wanting to destroy everything
I REALLY like your last point. Zamasu in the ToP would have been way more logic, congruent and amazing. His anger and sense of justice would have been justified AND it'd have make us feel more empathetic towards him, while at the same time his grudge against Goku would feel more natural and compelling.

Paparoni is probably one of my favorite characters to come out of the Universal Survival-arc. And yeah, he got to little screentime/build-up. It would be interesting just to see him linger in the background during certain fights to learn and eventually use that.

Gohan and Bulma should, instead of the forbidden time machine, work out an artificial timeline/dimensional gate. In Super, the Daishinkan had to use his attention to open the gates in between the Void and the Universes, and after that I pictured some weird tragedy that would force all the gates open by themselves and cause chaos. From this was borne the idea of Bulma, who can never resist a challenge, from making some sort of artificial gate with added functionality and Gohan giving her the help she needs. (The problem being Gohan's scruples; he knows this is not allowed.) Thing is, everyone had better pull off something truly epic (in a good way) on a multi-universal scale this time in order to work off their sin of tampering with timeline, universe, and dimensional travel without a license.
You should make a whole seires about rewriting the entire sagas each video just a suggestion.
The main impression we got from Dragon Ball Super is: if you're not a Saiyan character, then you're bound to become useless, weak, forgotten or insignificant sooner or later 😒🤦♂️.

My changes (before watching the video):
1. Spend more time exploring SSG and its powers before moving onto blue.
2. Rename it to Saiyan God.
3. Build up to the blue form much longer. Make it cost something.
4. Rename it Super Saiyan God.
5. Make SSG/Blue far more powerful. Conflict should come through fighting new and interesting powers, techniques and fighting styles. And then introduce the other universe's version of mortals using divine powers. Make the z fighters triumph by learning new techniques, NOT new forms.
6. Make UI and UE techniques, not forms. They could learn them from whis and Beerus respectively in order to overcome and enemy when SGG/Blue isn't enough.
7. Don't sideline Gohan. Follow through on his determination to "fight as a human." Have him discover something that other humans could also use and thereby raise the levels of all the human fighters.
A whole new arc, the Universe 6 Saiyan Arc where Goku, Vegeta, Trunks and Goten go to Universe 6 and meet the new saiyans. The boys let slip how to become SSJ God and a group of "bad" saiyans in that universe use the power to become strong. The final boss would be a group of SSJ God which forces the entirety of universe 6 to step up to fight this new threat.
Edit this arc would take place right after the universe 6 tournament and before the Goku Black Arc. This would allow for a more natural progression of SSJ with he universe 6 saiyans as opposed to the forced to SSJ2 Caulifa and Kale.
Shin confronting his friend Zamasu would be really sad but could also give supreme Kai more exposure, also goku and Vegeta getting knocked out fast with jiren in first few episodes of universe survival would have been cooler cause we could focus on more clever fighters like Gohan piccolo and Krillin having to win the day
You know masako you got some pretty good points as to what dragon ball super really should have been it was a great story arc but I sometimes felt that it wasn’t impactful like with z I do hope they do something with gohan though cause he’s one of my favorite characters and I hope they use his brain in more fights to come great video masako
id say for the entire universal tournament we could have jiren punching and mocking a few fighters every now and then. that way he has something to show us.
How to fix the Tournament of power... Simple insted of a battle royale. Have them in smaller groups 1st.
Have these universes fight eachother in groups of 3. This way you can still have sneaky motions going on.
When the time runs out on each... thats when the stage combines into a giant stage.
Pretty much round 1 is some fighting eachother trying to win or take out.
With a rule of: "If you win your round, you may bring back a fighter for the final showdown." This doesn't mean be the last universe standing... but more of: "if your team has the most people left at the end of your round you can bring back a fighter."
This way you can knock out some fighters and bring them back with anger or annoyance or more pumped up.
This way you can knock out let's say Goku after achieving Ultra Instinct vs Kefla or such. Then come back later all recharged and ready to go.
This way you can have part of the Arc without GOKU being there. And heck even discuss if Goku should come back since Beerus would think it's a fluke he went ultra instinct and prefers having a tactical fighter like Roshi back in who can bottle someone a few times for some free KO's.
That way you can put some more stakes on the other fighters and have the whole "Goku has to recover" thing going on.
That's how I would fix the tournament of power. Don't have it be a royal rumble from the start.. but have it start smaller. Have certain universes survive and fight... get rid of some of the dumb fodder you want to get rid of anyway off screen or dedicate an episode to it. Have each "round" have a charater we want to see.
So don't have Jiren, Goku and Hit on the same round. Have them divided.. so we want ot see their universes fight other universes!
My changes for super would be
1. Gohan continues his training
2. Change the soundtrack with something similar to the Bruce faulcner audio
3. Bardocks return and he's become stronger
4. Tien and krillin are wiser masters and they have students
5. More Saiyan survivors
6. Cooler becoming Canon
7. Make Vegeta more serious similar to how he was in DBZ
9. During the Broly movie paragus recognizes Goku being bardocks son and actually says that he was the one that trained him give paragus and bardock a mentor and student relation
10. also in the Broly movie have bardock wear his original Saiyan armor 🤷🏻♂️

1. SSB was introduced way to early and was used way to often. I feel like the milestone of a ssj god should've been much higher. It would've been amazing if they treated ssj god as ultra instinct. Something going has to tap into more often to completely master it. I feel like the transformation should've get more light to shine. So the 2. Movie with frieza could've been about frieza's new transformation and how he is stronger than ssj god, so vegeta turns into ssj god than, too because he learned it during the training with whis and goku. Together they beat Frieza. I could talk a lot about the frieza arc/movie but I would leave it like that. The Beerus movie was actually pretty good.
2. Gohan NEEDS TO BE A PRIME CHRACTER, to see him as a side character made me so angry, because he is my most favourite character. Just give him something. In the frieza arc, he should've been at least as strong to bring frieza into his final form AT LEAST and at the end of Super, he should've been at least as strong as ssj blue. Only way to do that, is a new transformation. I feel like they could do something more of the ultimate form. Something like an extended state of it.
3.Too many tournaments, not really big villians. Zamasu was the only real villian. Hit and Jiren are not necessarily bad guys. Zamasu was a good villian in my opinion but it was quit a boring arc besides vegito blue and trunks ssj rage. I just hated, that they fought 3 times in the same location. Fighting him in the universe of trunks, than letting him destroy than universe and going to original timeline, would've been better in my opinion. Also I would've loved to see zamasu in all transformations goku had.
4. Side characters feel unnecessary. Just give them something. Goten and trunks for example. PLS let them grow up. Buu stop letting him sleep all the time. I actually liked the slim version of him. I would also love to see him splitting up and creating this new species like in dragonball online. I can't believe how picollo lost to a weak henchman of frieza, how he lost to frost and how he got kicked out of the tournament. It is as if picollo is the new krillin and he should be way stronger than that.
1. Change Goku's personality to keep in line with his z version
2. Get rid of SSB and SSJ Rage and have the humans and Piccolo keep with the Goku and Vegeta(New Transformations/ techniques)
3. Introduce Zamasu earlier and change the ending to the Goku Black saga (Either have future trunks stay in the present or have him meet up with the Supreme kai of time and go into xenoverse) --- clean up the time travel mess
4. Create more arcs between the Goku Black arc and the Tournament of Power so we can get sympathies and see the other universe's, Keep the power scaling logical, and Make Jiren a more interesting antagonist
5. figure out what to do with gohan

Rewriting the some eliminations:
1. Krillin - Goes against Botamo, eliminating him and challenging Frost after seeing him and Freeza discuss things. They fight, but Frost knocks him out. Keep the tag team with 18 against Majora and Shosa tho
2. Tien & Roshi: Have them work together picking off some small fry fighters from U4, U2, and definitely U10. Have them wipe out a chunk of U10 before getting knocked out by Rubalt and Obuni after being fatigued
3. Piccolo - Sacrifices himself for Gohan, taking out the U6 Namekians as well
4. Gohan and 18: 18 goes out taking down the Kamikaze Fireballs and Gohan takes out Kefla like in the Manga

I am curious though how Thanos and Zamasus motivations were similar? Zamasu wanted to eliminate all mortals so that the Universe was perfect for the Kais a narcissistic God complex for sure. Thanos at least was trying to prevent the same thing that happened to his race to the rest of the Universe.

I think 5 ways to fix Super
1. Shift the focus Post movies episodes from Goku to Vegeta. Even with the current manga arc I am feeling this ought to be Vegeta's series tbh. Vegeta has get SSB but also see him get Red as well.
2. Make UI what is should be a one time fluke. UI Goku and Jiren knock each other out after Episode 109. You raise the tension as well with this. Goku wonders if he could get UI again but never does.
3. Gohan still trains after Resurrection F and is about 75% back power wise from Buu Saga. He stays a scholar till Pan is a bit older so he starts training her and Videl joins.
4. More slice of life episodes. Super should been a good mix of action and slice of life. Especially seeing how Vegeta reacts more with Bulla being born.
5. No Goku Black arc. I would did an arc where Goku and co visit Universe 6 to see Planet Salada. Then a Goku vs. Hit rematch while in Universe 6. After this arc then Grand Priest informs every of ToP

Fun fact. Nerd gohan isn’t the original timeline gohan. The actual gohan is face down in a puddle.
I think Zamasu would have been way more interesting if his present timeline self had been more pure. As it was he was ready to turn evil at any moment, meaning the fact that it was Goku he became obsessed with seems almost arbitrary. It feels like any really strong mortal could have gained his ire.
Instead, what if he was still mostly good, only just starting to doubt, and seeing his future self, already full fledged evil, is what ultimately tips him over the edge. Maybe he goes along with Goku to try to help him fix the problems his future self is causing, only for his future self to try to corrupt him to his side. There would be the question, both to the characters and the audience, of whether his descent into evil is inevitable, or whether he could choose a different path.
This works even better with Masako's idea of having him be Shin's friend. On one side you can have Shin, pleading with his friend not to turn evil, and on the other side his future self, being persuasive in the way only someone who is literally you can be. I think that would be way more interesting than what we got.
It might've helped if they cut down the ToP teams. Leave them open to 10 members, but make the minimum 5. That way the number of participants could be cut down before the proceedings began, with each team selecting only it's strongest and most useful members. And perhaps instead having just a few episodes dedicated to each universes internal contests and votes on how their teams would be built and whether or not they should have a full roster or to keep it to core members.
For instance, Prum and Harmira of Universe 2 were their sniper team. However, the only reason they were able to perform that teamup at all was because Berserk Kale splintered the arena and caused numerous rock protrusions to spring up. Without that very specific thing happening, there'd be no place for those two to hide and work their combination skills. They'd have been out in the open for everyone to see and to be easily eliminated. I would say having teammates whose skills and abilities can only function in very specific conditions would not be as viable when the stage is a wide, flat circular platform.
If they had cut down on the number of fighters, things would've moved at a quicker, smoother pace with fewer interruptions and without wasting time on weaker fighters dragging things out. Or just having Freeza waste time torturing them off the arena.

Cooler > Cell/Freeza. they are both done for in my opinion, a new character would have been better. Cell's personality wouldn't really allow him to ally with the Z warriors, as with Freeza. Cooler is a blank sheet to work with, and has a back story to explore, like his relationship with his dad and brother, his own force and ideology.

Well, could be right. Less likely in my opinion, first thing he did after losing 18 was self destruct as he realized he lost, rather than fighting to the bitter end as Goku or Vegeta would have done, that way really giving him potential to develop (as with Vegeta)
If i could rewrite Super, i would turn Goku into the Goku that fought Tien. I would make Gohan into a Strategy boi, I'd add Mr Popo to the tournament of power
What if when future Trunks left at the end of the Cell saga to go back to his own timeline he 'got lost' and ended up at the same year in the main timeline. I see it as a one shot, slice of life kind of what if because that time is after the events of Super and before GT and Bulma would get him some fuel pretty quickly so he wouldn't stay long. Maybe some shenanigans trying to prevent him from finding out what happens to him in the Goku Black arc, or something light hearted and fun.
