Spot on. The card hobby is absolutely in a better place than it was before the boom. I can’t think of another hobby where 8 year olds to 88 year olds are engaged.
It is. Cards have gotten slaughtered. Not sure that is good.
Sunday curch
What a great interview to listen to. Great job on both ends. Love how V explained that he would love to share information with people about what he’s interested in now, but hasn’t figured out a way to relay that information without triggering negative feedback on social media. That seems to be a dilemma for many people these days. It’s a shame that they have to worry about that and shame on the people who are very quick to chime in with negativity. You deprive us of having the joy of listening to what these people have to share with us.
Love when your chatting cards and collecting. Always feel leaving like I've learned more!
Love when u talk sports cards!!
Your CZcams videos are amazing and always filled with valuable information. Your clear presentation style keeps me engaged and I learn something new every time. Thank you for all your hard work and effort in creating these videos. They are truly appreciated.
👍
Daily Positivity Energy! Thanks Gary!

Amazing episode !!! Love how Gary always brings that cliff note style break down on the state of things. Jlee so happy to see this podcast happen. One the best shows in the hobby 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Gary, great insights, also-your arms are looking swole! 💪🏼 😮
good stuff Jeremy one of your best episodes!
3:46 I was definitely one of those people that got in to it because of the “hype” and now I built a business around it and absolutely love the hobby.
i get it
Hockey Cards 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Really good commentary in this one🔥
it's important to approach it with caution and have a clear strategy like mr vee
Hit me up 👆🏻
Much love my dude!!
There will ALWAYS be speculators, as there are in any other enterprises!
I really, really miss the DailyVee videos!!!
You pumped all that crap up. You really did. February of 2020.
January of 2021 may have been worse, the GOAT bubble which is when Gary came back to pump and dump a second time.
Siegelman Stable , love it
Gary, Thank You as always for the great content!
Hit me up 👆🏻
Come on The Jonathan Kogan Show next! ❤
See you in Dallas in the Fall my guy 🐐
Hit me up 👆🏻
I think were at The bottom , a few low sales through the cracks per card but that’s about it
It's all a cycle. On to the next thing. :D
I stopped buying/collecting at the height of everything. It was fun before 2019 then just turned to crap. I'll buy a pack here and there every once in a while but before the craze started in 2019 I was set up at every local card show.
@garyvee knows get Jordan the GOAT, even though he says he doesn’t like him. 🙌
what's in the safe on the right?
A lot of people believe Gary was only in it, for the money and went to NFTS when he saw, the prices were starting to decline, and saw an opportunity there, which is what business people do, though, other than the National (once a year) he's pretty much out, of the spotlight with, buying cards. Maybe, if he showed (filmed) himself buying and selling cards at these local card shows, fellow collectors would reluctantly be accepting of Gary whether they like it or not...
The Vee Like Challenge - Have a drink on every 'like' Gary says, enjoy!
@teamgary the new thumbnails need to evolve rapido ;)
It hasn’t slowed down at all if anything the hobby going crazy!
Card prices have been cut like 60 percent
@@ski9673 all traditional/alternate investments have been cut down 60 percent... whats your point
Sports cards are still the greatest.
Other than Ebay, where is the most convenient place to sell my cards? (I don't trust Ebay since they obligate you to put in your bank account)
As long as I am getting outbid then I know theres a market. ALL markets go up and down. Sports arnt going anywhere. Technology and exposure is only getting more advanced with MORE outlets to ingest the content.
Perro por why tho ❤
I found about 500 cards from when I was a kid in the 90’s. Mostly football some baseball and have no clue what to do with them
Sell them on eBay, or send them to me (I’ll pay for shipping)
Nonsport first appearance cards are hot
My sports card business was ruined Because of you in 2020. But it worked out great. My Mahomes Autos were bought and i turned it into a scalable business. I still play in sports cards bc I am great at scouting. But Gary ruined grading. Now its too expensive. That was the only play before now its only if you have high value cards. Which is dangerous to tie up Capital
Grading is now cheaper at $15 to 20$ a card
@@Wolf-rc1tf yep. Now that it's watered down.
@@bluegrasspicker1204 base products are watered down, but people are still spending big $ on numbered cards. Topps update, Sapphire, and Gilded items are selling out like crazy. Thanks to CZcams and social media more people are enjoying the hobby. I got back into it because of this.
@@Wolf-rc1tf I've been doing it for decades.
Gary ruined it?😂
Gary single handedly started and ended the sports card boom. He made his money and dipped.
How he spelled McGwire tho
Gary what's your thoughts on Disney's new Lorcana cards coming out?
Hit me up 👆🏻
Noce
People didn't get hurt buying base anything. People got hurt buying huge cards that have realized 90%+ loss.
That’s just wrong. Base Luka, base Giannis, base 2012 prizm, base topps chrome Kobe/Lebron, base every single rookie post 2017. All lost at least 80%. That’s not to say the “rare” stuff didn’t fall just as hard or harder. But a lot of people lost a lot of money on base cards.
Era
first
Sports cards are only alive after boom because of the streaming app whatnot or and it’s slowly declining
You're an inspiration for every empty headed scam artist to be able to sell absolutely nothing for idiots to buy. It reminds me of the old poker adage that its a sin to let a sucker keep his money
late 2023-24 will be the great Hockey comeback envigorated by the chase of Connor Bedard
2.5 years doing a podcast and he doesn’t have a proper microphone. It’s painful
SM7B, great mic.
Good, the hobby and industry will be better off. Now if the other YT clown influencers did the same.
Well because you pumped and dumped. Not hard to figure out Gary
bc you sucked at it?
Apparently, no one cares about Gary V or what he thinks. He has become irrelevant, he has lost any honor or dignity he once had in this hobby. He has no shame.
17 minutes of pointlessness.
The cards you made are laughable . Biggest rip off I’ve ever laid eyes on.
Dude needs to go outside…. 😅
Gary is not talking about it anymore because he is stocking back up for later when he wants to dump again.
Congrats to all who is early and found this comment 💎
Gary look into Cameron Thomas Prizm cards they are somewhat shooting rn. Glimpses of 2020. Red cracked ice prizms we’re selling for 5-10 dollars max and are now bidding over 55-60+ dollars because Kevin Durant got traded and he want for 40+ points 3 nights straight.
No future in Cam Thomas cards..come on..
Cam Thomas scored like 40 pts the other night. I’m a believer 🤑🤑🤑
