My first one did that but it was under warranty so I got a different one for free. The one is not under warranty so I'm stuck with no outside display now and I have to make sure to manually turn the screen off with the power button or it stays on while in my pocket because the sensor is telling the phone it's open.. when. • @PBKreviews
      @PBKreviews  Před měsícem

      Yeah, you don't need to take apart anything else which isn't obstructing the part you're replacing. But also there is a small chance of shorting if the battery is still connecting if you use metal tools etc.

  • @rishabhpurohit2663

    After re-assembly, did the middle part of the screen at the hinge bent upwards (thus the glare) or is it out of the box?

    • @PBKreviews
      @PBKreviews  Před 4 lety +2

      No it still sits down flush but is not as crease-less as it was out of the box. Motorola even states its normal to see bumps and curves and I started seeing some curves in the screen after closing and opening during the day. Doesn't look as bad in person as it does on video with all the lighting but yep. I just like how solid the body feels, very premium.

    Motorola was stupid because they left out the user replaceable battery. The back cover is 90% capable only the 10% corporate greed and fingerprint sensor glues together the bottom half.
    Just imagine a hot swappable battery. All the batteries with built in wireless charging coil.

    What a piece of garbage, they could not even use a linear actuator for the vibrator motor... Still what seems to be a rotating mass. Trashy! If I'm wrong then disregard my comment but on a device like this in 2020, having a rotating mass vibration motor is just cheap and nasty.

    • @PBKreviews
      @PBKreviews  Před 4 lety

      I see where your coming from, I have noticed a lot of the high end devices still use the rotating mass vibration motors. Not sure what the reasoning behind it is, but probably a good reason. I highly doubt it would be a cost issue, maybe the space orientation but then again I'm sure they could organize it in a way to work with the whole design. Maybe if a Moto engineer reads this post they can shine some light onto it for us :)

      @@PBKreviews Yeah, i miss the days you could easily remove your battery, but now they make everything so it will not work long anymore, and can almost not be repaired anymore, by a handy guy with a solder station, 20+ years ago they made stuff to last you 20+ years, now you must be happy if your TV will survive 10 years.
