Don’t Tell the Bride is a wedding show like no other; instead of the wedding you want, it’s the wedding you’ll never forget - hopefully for all the right reasons! Each episode follows a couple through the entire process of organising a wedding, but the twist is that the bride has absolutely no involvement. For better or for worse, she has agreed to hand overall control of the wedding to the groom. She has no idea where she’s getting married, who is turning up or even what she is wearing until the big day itself. The couples are separated for the month leading up to the big day and the groom has to pull off the whole thing in secret. Will the relationship survive the strain? Will the groom succeed in pulling together the perfect wedding? And is his idea of perfection anywhere near hers?

The bride seems oh so posh and the whole family seems to be well off so why on earth don't they pay for their own dreamwedding and dream dress?

I don’t quite understand. You know the rules of the show, so why so much drama when you don’t get exactly what you want? I thought a wedding was about the marriage and the relationship not so much on what you wear. I would be happy wearing whatever my honey chose for me because he did it out of love.

I think before they sign the contract she should tell him what sort of dress she wants, and he should discuss how he sees the venue and theme of it all if he has one.

@@gloryakiepper7918 One guy commented on an uploaded video and said that was his wedding (it was the one at the zoo.) , that it was fun to see people watching it years later. I wondered over that ever since, like what the percentage is he can pick what she already has rather than get creative .

I know this is a "show" and shows need drama but please. The picker - whoever they are - will never win and the dress wearer most likely will cry. Clearly, letting someone else pick is more important than picking for oneself (on this show) so no tears should be wasted.

  • @maryquitecontrary1631

The groom’s wishes aren’t the primary concern when a bride picks out her dress. This just goes to show that grooms also pick what they want to see the bride wear, not necessarily what she wants. You can’t expect to go on a show like this and get YOUR dream wedding. This essentially is the groom’s dream wedding. Just proves that weddings are for the bride and not the groom.

If I was her friends & Mom I would have to secretly buy that dress and put it away for for her to have a second wedding on her anniversary for her wedding gift. But I'm sure she will look beautiful in the simple gown he thinks she will look beautiful in. If she's happy to be marrying her fiance, she will glow in anything. Best wishes!🎉
